Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1006: Chapter 1006: Piercing the Window Paper

”I heard about your incident from my brother, and I really didn’t expect that the crazy woman who tried to push you down the stairs was Cheng Yue’s sister. Cheng Yue seems to have a decent personality, but how could he have such a sister? Do you think Cheng Yue’s personality is the same as hers?”

”Not the same. Cheng Yue is quite an upright person! Whatever he’s thinking is always written all over his face! Cheng Yu is not like that, maybe it’s related to her experiences over these years, she always keeps her worries to herself, and won’t easily show them,” An Hao said.

”That’s a relief. If Cheng Yue were like his sister, that would have been terrifying.”

”I’ve taken note of him. Don’t worry. I’ve interacted with Cheng Yue quite a bit, and he seems to be a decent guy,” An Hao said and then laughed, leaving Yan Huan puzzled.

”Why are you laughing?”

”It’s nothing... You continue asking!”

Just as Yan Huan was harboring several questions and was about to ask, she suddenly realized that An Hao’s laugh might have a deeper meaning, ”What exactly are you laughing at? Are you mocking me?”

”No, no!” An Hao quickly waved her hands to deny, ”Where do I dare to mock you? You just thought of a phrase, and I don’t know what it means; could you maybe explain it to me?”

”Sure. Let’s hear it.”

”The budding of spring feelings,” An Hao said.

”That...” Yan Huan was just about to explain when she suddenly sensed something amiss and, seeing the mischievous smile on An Hao’s face, she immediately understood, ”And you said you aren’t mocking me, but you clearly are!”

”What am I mocking you about?” An Hao purposefully countered.

”You!!” Yan Huan was frustrated, and despite going around in circles, she still got caught up in it.

”Alright! Don’t be angry,” An Hao smiled sweetly, ”Some things need to be voiced loudly! Actually, sometimes someone has to be the first to break the ice.”

”What ice not ice? I don’t understand,” Yan Huan felt the conversation couldn’t go on any longer, and swiftly got up to help in the kitchen.

............................

The next day, Qin Jian took An Hao back to school.

With Cheng Yu gone, there would be no more threats to Lei Linxuan, and it was time to clear up the matter of the paper.

Right after the first class in the morning ended, before An Hao could go to Lei Linxuan, she took the initiative to come to her.

”I’m sorry, An Hao! Regarding the paper, it was all my fault! I sincerely apologize to you! I’m very sorry for plagiarizing your paper and for stealing your fame and opportunities! Today, I will stand up and clarify everything! I will return what belongs to you,” Lei Linxuan said.

”You know about Cheng Yu’s affair?” An Hao asked Lei Linxuan.

”Yes. Teacher Yan told me! I assured him it wouldn’t go further.”

”Good,” An Hao nodded in satisfaction, ”I accept your apology! And I decide, I forgive you!”

”Thank you, An Hao!” Lei Linxuan hugged her excitedly, ”Thank you for your generosity!”

”Because it’s you! You are my roommate! So I’m willing to forgive you, but don’t do such foolish things again,” An Hao said calmly.

”Thank you! I truly appreciate it.”

”No need to thank me! I hope in the future, we can still have the opportunity to intern at the same hospital!”

Lei Linxuan apologized in front of all the teachers and students at the school, and although it was very embarrassing, it at least allowed her to feel at peace.
