Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 583: Chapter 582: Give me a massage

Tian Niu came out of the dormitory, hurriedly found a bicycle, and went out to buy some things.

On his way back, he happened to run into the warriors of the regiment returning from their meal.

Seeing what Tian Niu was holding, they all started to tease him.

”Boss, why did you buy brown sugar? I’ve heard it’s used by women after giving birth, to drink with it in water.”

”What? Girls use it too.”

”Xiaojin, you’re always following the boss. Tell us, when did the boss become a woman? Even needs toilet paper when going to the loo.”

Xiaojin sneakily glanced at the boss’s expression and whispered, ”Are you guys dumb? This is for sister-in-law!”

”Oh~ so it’s for sister-in-law!”

”Got it! Got it!” They all pretended to be foolish on purpose.

Watching his subordinates acting like hooligans, Tian Niu felt a surge of anger inside. So they were all taking turns to mock him, huh?

Only then did Tian Niu suddenly understand Qin Jian’s mindset at that time.

So had he been this annoying back then?

No wonder he was always punished; it would be strange if the chief of staff didn’t find him irritating to the core.

”You guys just had your fill and feeling a bit bloated, huh?” Tian Niu looked at them with a sly smile and suddenly laughed, ”I’ve just been worrying about weeding the parade ground. I was planning to mobilize everyone to do it together tomorrow, but now that’s settled, you guys can take the lead. Finish half of it tonight, and then you can go to sleep.”

After that, Tian Niu walked away.

”Hey, boss! Boss!” Xiaojin was truly miserable.

Looking at the others, they were all wearing the same gloomy expressions.

”Tell me about it, the boss’s tactics for punishing us are endless! I really admire him! I’ve never seen anyone quite like the boss before!”

”Seriously, who did he learn from?” It was unbelievable!

”The chief of staff!” Xiaojin said.

”What?” The group was all stunned.

”Don’t you know? The boss used to be under the chief of staff! Using the boss’s own words, we’re living the good life compared to that! If we trained under the chief of staff, we’d probably be worked to death.” Xiaojin sighed, the chief of staff looked weirdly cold, seemingly not easy to approach.

Tian Niu returned to the dormitory with the sugar and prepared a big military mug for Gu Shuangshuang, ”Drink it! Drink more to warm your stomach.”

After Gu Shuangshuang drank, she broke into a sweat, feeling a tiny bit of relief in her stomach.

”How is it? Does it still hurt?” Although Tian Niu was rough around the edges, he had his tender moments. Seeing Gu Shuangshuang in discomfort, he stretched out his hand and gently placed it on her stomach, ”Shall I rub it for you?”

”Mhm.” Gu Shuangshuang nodded.

”Okay. If the pain gets too bad, tell me!”

”Alright. Start rubbing.”

Tian Niu’s palm was thick and broad, gently massaging Gu Shuangshuang’s flat stomach, being very careful not to use too much strength to avoid hurting her.

”Is this pressure okay?” He asked while massaging.

”Yes, keep going slowly. Tell you to stop, then you can stop,” Gu Shuangshuang said.

”Okay. I’ll listen to you.”

The heat from Tian Niu’s palm, combined with his gentle movements, continuously transferred warmth to Gu Shuangshuang.

Gu Shuangshuang, who had been suffering from stomach pain for half a day, finally felt a lot better and drifted off to sleep.

When she opened her eyes again, it was already the middle of the night. She saw Tian Niu with his arm propped on the bed, nodding off to sleep.

”Old Niu! Old Niu!” Gu Shuangshuang patted him.

Tian Niu slowly opened his eyes, ”Hmm? I fell asleep. Is your stomach feeling a bit better?”

”Much better.” Gu Shuangshuang nodded.

Tian Niu rubbed his face and stood up, ”Alright then. If you feel better, go to sleep early. I should go back.”

Gu Shuangshuang reached out and grabbed his wrist, ”Don’t go...”
