Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 571: Chapter 571: The Intangible Influence

Yang Erxiu went upstairs and knocked on the door, and An Hao went to open it.

Seeing Yang Erxiu standing outside, she hurriedly invited him in, ”Erxiu, are you looking for your dad?”

Yang Erxiu glared at An Hao for a while before using his hand to push her aside and walked slowly towards Yang Dahe, ”Dad, Mom wants you to come home for dinner.”

Yang Dahe had seen what had just occurred at the doorway, and he was very dissatisfied with his son’s behavior, ”Why didn’t you call out to anyone at the doorstep just now? What should you have said?”

Yang Dahe’s gaze was very stern, and when it came to the education of his child, this was an issue on which there could be no compromise.

For many years, he had been in the military and had neglected his child’s education.

Yang Erxiu stared straight at Yang Dahe, and after a long while uttered, ”Mom wants you to come home for dinner.”

”I told you to call to people! Don’t give me that useless chatter first.”

”Yang Dahe, don’t be so harsh! Erxiu is still a child,” An Hao saw how serious Yang Dahe was, and seeing a timid look in Erxiu’s eyes, quickly stepped forward to stop him.

”An Hao, you shouldn’t concern yourself with these matters,” Li Zecheng agreed with Yang Dahe’s approach, ”Children must be educated properly. Especially boys, they need to be treated more sternly.”

An Hao turned to look at Qin Jian.

He also nodded at her.

It seems the thoughts of the men were all the same, that there was only one idea: they could no longer indulge the children. Especially boys, they could not continue to be indulged like this.

Since they all wanted her to stay quiet, An Hao decided not to get involved in the matter.

Yang Erxiu was distant from his father, but the time spent with his father recently had made him realize the difference between his father and his mother.

He greatly admired his father!

He wanted to be someone commanding and impressive in the military, just like his father, one day.

His mother had said that the woman before him was a little vixen, and he had heard more than once in the village that vixens like to seduce men.

He was afraid that this woman in front of him might lure away the father he admired.

”Erxiu! Didn’t you hear what Dad said?” Yang Dahe repeated, emphasizing his tone.

Realizing that his father was truly angry, Yang Erxiu turned to An Hao and called out with a sense of grievance, ”Auntie.”

”Good boy, Erxiu!” An Hao gently touched Erxiu’s head, feeling his obvious resistance towards her.

”That’s enough, you go home now. Tell your mom to cook for herself, I’ll eat and go back,” Yang Dahe commanded his son.

Yang Erxiu turned to leave but suddenly his eyes caught the sight of the oranges and bananas on the table, and he couldn’t move.

Knowing that he wanted to eat the bananas, An Hao picked up the bag of bananas and offered them to Yang Erxiu, ”Take these bananas home to eat. Your dad bought them.”

Yang Erxiu nodded dully, ready to take them, but then he heard Yang Dahe say, ”These bananas were bought for your uncles and aunts. Don’t take them; if you want to eat bananas, Dad will buy more for you.”

The moment Yang Dahe finished speaking, Yang Erxiu left.

When he got downstairs, he saw Feng Chunhua standing at the doorstep of Zhang Guifang’s house waiting, so without saying a word, he went ahead to hold her hand, ”Mom, let’s go home!”

”Where’s your dad? Why isn’t he coming back?” Feng Chunhua asked.

”Let’s talk at home,” Yang Erxiu said and then went downstairs first.

After descending the stairs with Feng Chunhua and returning to their own home, Yang Erxiu shut the door and said to Feng Chunhua, ”Mom, Dad’s not coming back! He even took money from home to buy things for the vixen to eat! And because I didn’t call the vixen ’auntie’, he glared and scolded me!”
