Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 560: Chapter 560: You Must Take Responsibility to the End

After sending Qin Jian and An Hao away, it was still early, and the summer nights always seemed to stretch on and on.

The camp headquarters was far from the city area, and the space was wide and open.

The vast expanse of the sky overhead sparkled with the myriad stars that decorated the night.

Gu Shuangshuang’s heart had never felt as content as it did today; she turned her head to glance at Tian Niu beside her, finding him looking up at the deep blue canopy of the sky.

”Shuangshuang, I feel like the sky here is even more vast. Over the past few months, I often lay by myself on the parade ground among the grass and gazed at the stars, while imagining your life. When you didn’t want to have anything to do with me several times, I felt incredibly stifled, so I would come here to watch the stars,” he said.

”Silly!” Hearing him speak so sentimentally all of a sudden, Gu Shuangshuang felt a sour and astringent sensation in her heart, ”Whose fault is that? It’s all because of you.”

”To tell you the truth, I didn’t think you would like me. Even if you did, I didn’t have the courage or confidence, and then I thought I might have to settle in the Northwest for life, which you probably would like even less, right? So I simply left without saying goodbye.”

”Idiot! Don’t make assumptions about the future. Can you talk to me about anything that happens?” Gu Shuangshuang stared at him through the darkness with wide eyes.

Tian Niu felt his heart thumping wildly under the gaze of her eyes; his heart, silent for twenty-seven or twenty-eight years, now seemed to be infused with new energy.

”Shuangshuang...”

”Hmm?”

”Your eyes are really beautiful, shining just like the stars in the sky.” That was the first time Tian Niu had ever spoken such sugary sweet words to a girl.

After saying it, his own face turned red.

Fortunately, it was dark, and his dark complexion meant it wasn’t noticeable.

Otherwise, it would have been truly embarrassing for Shuangshuang to see him like this.

Even though the sweet talk was clumsy, Gu Shuangshuang still felt overjoyed.

She turned around with a smile to face Tian Niu, wrapped her arms gently around his strong waist, and tiptoeing, her soft lips gradually approached Tian Niu.

At the moment their lips touched, Tian Niu felt as if a current zapped through him, causing his whole body to quiver.

So this is what it feels like to kiss the woman you like—it’s almost like getting an electric shock.

No, it’s even more thrilling than an electric shock!

His heart pounded fiercely, as if a drum hammer beat heavily upon a drumhead, emitting a resounding noise.

All the blood in his body rushed to his brain, and the sounds around him faded away. All he could feel were the soft lips gently suckling on his, and the smooth tip of a tongue tentatively trying to pry his lips apart.

This was Tian Niu’s first kiss with a woman!

He didn’t know how to respond! He just stood rigidly, staring dumbly ahead, letting Gu Shuangshuang’s lips kindle a fiery heat throughout his body.

Gu Shuangshuang was also having her first kiss.

She emulated the kiss scenes from Soviet films, earnestly trying and exploring.

After a while, Tian Niu finally came to his senses somewhat. He embraced Gu Shuangshuang and kissed her back fiercely.

Just like she had done to him!

Gu Shuangshuang winced from his vigorous kissing, tried to pull away, but Tian Niu clung to her lips determinedly.

Men really do catch on quickly in this area.

Tian Niu kept kissing until Gu Shuangshuang became breathless and couldn’t stand on her feet from lack of oxygen, then he finally stopped.

Gu Shuangshuang gasped for air, leaning on Tian Niu’s chest, their pounding hearts intertwining, their bodies growing hot together.

”Tian Niu, my first kiss is given to you! Remember, no matter when, you must not shrink back. Always charge ahead! You have to take responsibility for me to the end!”
