Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1191: Third Area: Abyss

Nalan Yushu moved above those souls, summoned a giant mouth above her, and devoured the remaining ones.

”Husband, she—”

”Let her be, Yunxiao.” Zhang Fei [5] contacted the others, informing them about the presence of the evil beasts. ”I didn’t expect that Mo Shentian would send his second son and two confidants to contact those beasts, let alone that he wanted to cooperate with them. The situation in the demon races might be chaotic if he succeeded in finding the true body of the Faceless Demon God, and it would also affect the Eternal Night Demon Race and the Soul-Devouring Demon Race.”

”Are you going to interfere in their matters, husband?”

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head. ”I have no relationship with the other demon races, so I can’t care about them. While the Eternal Night and the Soul-Devouring Demon Races are different from them, I will not directly interfere in this matter, and I have already warned Ye Futian about Mo Shentian’s plans.”

”I see.” Luo Yunxiao nodded in understanding. ”Were you able to track the others?”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”Qing Qiu’er is on her way to pick up nearby disciples, and I have asked You Feiling to search for the others along with the elders. Bing Xingying has already secured your family and the cultivators from the Empyrean Domain, so you don’t need to worry about them. Feng Yao had already noticed the presence of the evil demon beasts; she and her three subordinates have already moved to protect the others, so I’m sure they will be fine.”

”Phew.” Luo Yunxio breathed a sigh of relief after hearing that her family members were fine. ”What about Tian Huangjin, Tianshi Shengjie, and the people from the two demon races?”

”Tianshi Shengjie and the beast races are far away in that area, and they’re fighting some of those beasts.” Zhang Fei [5] pointed northwest before pointing east. Tian Huangjin and the winged race are 3,000 miles east, but no evil beasts are there, and they’re only fighting demons. The people from the Eternal Night and Soul-Devouring Demon Races fell not far from each other, and Ye Futian was with them now. They haven’t encountered those evil beasts or other races, so their situation is relatively safe. However, many fights have already occurred in several areas, and many victims have fallen from various races.”

”Tch! That damn ghost dragon devoured most of those souls, and I only got a few!” Nalan Yushu complained as soon as she returned to their side. ”So, what should we do now? There’s nothing interesting left in this place now that those souls are gone.”

”My four other clones have already moved to several other locations, and the closest one to this place is the Endless Night Abyss.” Zhang Fei [5] pointed to the south of their location. ”The abyss is over there, but there are quite a lot of evil beasts nearby. I wanted to avoid that place, but I felt like there was something there, so we’ll go there now.”

”What do you mean by that, Master?”

”Did you detect anything from that place, Husband?”

”I can’t confirm it yet, so we’ll have to check first.” Zhang Fei [5] hugged their waists, brought both of them into an invisible state, and used the Nine Cloud Steps to bring them there.

In a matter of seconds, they had arrived above the Endless Night Abyss, where they saw many evil beasts lining the edge, led by the dark Qilin, Yao Qilin.

Yao Qilin’s human form is quite sexy and pretty, with pale skin, slanted eyes with black eyeliner, a straight nose, and full lips. Her jet-black, long hair is left loose. Her figure is voluptuous with noticeable fullness and roundness, supported by a fitted, deep-cut black dress that shows off her deep cleavage, hourglass curves, and toned legs.

The Endless Night Abyss is a massive pit. Its walls are sheer black stone, and the darkness within makes it difficult for people to see the bottom. Cold winds rise constantly from below, carrying whispers that disturb the mind and weaken the will. Cultivators who stare into it for too long often hear voices calling their names, luring them to jump in.

Zhang Fei [5] and the two women could see that Yao Qilin wanted to enter the place, but she seemed hesitant to do so, leaving them wondering about the area within the abyss.

Zhang Fei [5] tried to check the inside of the Endless Night Abyss, but the map could only detect up to the middle area. ’I can’t check the inside, especially since it’s too dark. The only way to check it is to go in directly, but I don’t know what awaits us inside. Moreover, Yao Qilin seems to intend to go in, so I will send you two to my other clones’ places, and I will go in myself.’

’But, master, you—’

’Sister Yushu, have you forgotten that our husband still has another identity?’ Nalan Yushu turned to Luo Yunxia. ’His fourth identity is the Calamity Demon Dragon, remember? If he used that form to go in there, I’m sure Yao Qilin wouldn’t be able to differentiate him from other evil beasts. Moreover, he can run away whenever he wants, so he’ll be fine.’

Nalan Yushu nodded at her. ’Alright, bring us to your other clone’s place.’

Zhang Fei [5] took the two women a little away from the abyss, and she sent them into the training space. This way, his other clone could take them out elsewhere, and he returned to their previous location afterwards.

After transforming into his fourth form, Zhang Fei [5] immediately entered the Endless Night Abyss in an invisible state, unlike Yao Qilin, who was still hesitant about doing so.

After thinking about it for some time, Yao Qilin decided to enter the abyss. She looked at the other evil beasts. ”Go to Xie Heilong and tell him my location if I don’t return in a few hours.”

”Yes, Leader.”

Thereafter, Yao Qilin immediately flew down into the abyss, but she did so very carefully. Just like Zhang Fei [5], she couldn’t see the middle area down to the bottom of the abyss, and the strange voices coming from within gave her a bad feeling.

Zhang Fei [5] had already arrived at the bottom of the abyss, but the place was simply too dark. His map still couldn’t detect anything there, but he could see that Yao Qilin had begun to fly down.

”Keh... Keh... Keh...” The eerie laugh startled Zhang Fei [5], who immediately spun around in place to seek the source. ”Keh... Keh... Keh... I haven’t smelled the scent of a living being in a long time, and your soul smells good.”

’A man?’ Zhang Fei [5] kept trying to seek the source while asking. ”Who are you? Where are you? How did you get trapped here?”

”Keh... Keh... Keh... I’m over here.” Zhang Fei [5] suddenly saw a faint golden light from a distance. ”Keh... Keh... Keh... Do you have the guts to meet me, young beast?”

Zhang Fei [5] frowned at that, but he hesitated to decide, especially since he didn’t have any information about the mysterious man. Additionally, he sensed that the abyss was unusual, particularly because he could detect several formations within it, even though the darkness prevented him from seeing them directly.

[Master, you have to be careful, especially since this dungeon used to be the residence of ancient races. I’m sure that mysterious man is the soul of one of the ancients, and his soul power should be stronger than yours. If that’s true, I’m afraid that he will possess your body and destroy your soul.]

’I know.’ Zhang Fei [5] nodded slightly and considered his options.

Since Zhang Fei [5] continued to hesitate, the mysterious man tried to provoke him. ”Keh... Keh... Keh... You seem like a coward, young beast. If you don’t have the guts to meet me, you should go back up there, and I’ll wait for that female Dark Qilin to come to me.”

Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow. ”So, you can see all the way out there, huh?”

”Keh... Keh... Keh...” The mysterious man laughed at that. ”Even though I’ve been dead for millions of years, my soul is still as strong as in the past, so it’s not hard for me to check out there.”

Zhang Fei [5] eventually decided to meet the mysterious man, but he walked very slowly. ”Tell me, who exactly are you? How did you get trapped here? Who imprisoned your soul here?”

”You don’t have any information about this place, yet you dare set foot in it.”

”I only know that this place once belonged to the Silver Moon Clan, one of the clans of the ancient races.” The mysterious man did not immediately reply to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Could it be that you were a member of the Golden Sun Clan in the past?”

The mysterious man immediately answered him. ”You’re right, young beast. I was a member of the Golden Sun Clan in the past, but my clan should have been destroyed along with the Silver Moon Clan.”

”I don’t have clear information about either clan, but an acquaintance told me that both clans were destroyed by a deadly disaster that occurred in the past.” Zhang Fei [5] could hear the disappointed sigh of the mysterious man. ”Who exactly are you?”

”My name is Tian Taiyang, a winged race and the second in command of the Golden Sun Clan.”
