Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1180: Two Demon Gods’ Arrival

”Senior Huo, I want to compete in alchemy with you, but we don’t have time today.” Zhang Fei [5] pointed towards the sky, where the two suns and the two moons appeared together. ”The two moons will fully align tonight, and—”

”The Endless Night Dungeon will appear tonight.” Feng Yao continued his words.

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”Once the opening ceremony is over, we must prepare to enter the dungeon. Therefore, we cannot compete today, and we will do so after we leave that place.”

”Alright, I’ll wait.” Huo Lanyin replied, nodding slightly.

”What is the Endless Night Dungeon, Yao’er?” Feng Yao explained to her parents about the dungeon and the challenges they would face in it. ”So, it would be optimal for female cultivators to explore it, right?”

”Not really.” Feng Yao shook her head in response. ”Even though everything in the Endless Night Dungeon is directly related to Yin, there are some things that require the help of male cultivators. As long as your son-in-law is with us, we don’t have to worry about that. I won’t explain the details now, or it will take the fun away. You both need to be careful, as thousands, or even tens of thousands, of cultivators will participate in this event, and numerous traps could randomly transport us to different locations.”

’Son... son-in-law!’ The female elders stammered in their hearts as they stole glances at Zhang Fei [5], not expecting that he was the husband of Empress Huo Yanling.

Both Feng Jiu and Feng Tian nodded to Feng Yao, but Zhang Fei [5] then asked her. ”Who actually created the Endless Night Dungeon and the Zenith Sun Sanctum? Is the story about the two male twins and the two female twins real?”

”The story of the four of them is a true story, and it happened in the ancient era. However, they were not immortals as the story describes, and they were simply ordinary humans.” Feng Yao’s answer shocked the female elders, especially since there had never been any concrete evidence to prove the story’s veracity before. She then told them the truth behind the story, shocking the female elders even more. ”The Endless Night Dungeon and the Zenith Sun Sanctum have nothing to do with that story, and they were once the residences of members of the Silver Moon Clan and the Golden Sun Clan. Both clans were destroyed by a deadly disaster during that era, leaving their home to become mysterious dungeons for cultivators after their era. However, I don’t know how those two places relate to the two suns or moons.”

Zhang Fei [5] didn’t think much about it and asked him again. ”What about the statues of the female winged race and the male demon at the ends of the two rivers?”

”The Winged Race and Demon Race began their feud long since the era of Tian Huangjin and the Primordial Demon, and the two statues represent the last two of their races who were able to reach their peak.” Feng Yao observed both locations before continuing. ”They fought for hundreds of years until they died at each other’s hands, and ancient people built their statues to commemorate their fierce battle. The statues were originally built with their heads intact, but irresponsible people later destroyed them.”

”Could it be that the perpetrators are people from the winged race and the demon race, Empress?” Huo Lanyin asked.

”It’s possible.” Feng Yao then looked into the distance. ”Did you invite those two female demon gods?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”I have personal matters with Nalan Shizhe, so I invited her here. As for Ye Mingran, I have some plans for her demon race.”

Feng Yao nodded in understanding. ”Father! Mother! You all enter the sect first, and I’ll accompany him to meet them.”

Zhang Fei [5] asked the female elders to enter, and he also asked one of them to take Feng Jiu and the others to tour their sect.

”Master, send us to your beast space first.” Tian Kui spoke.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately sent the two ancient beasts into his beast space, and he asked Han Ling to come out, especially since Ye Futian was his grandmaster.

Not long after Han Ling came out, Ye Mingran and Nalan Shizhe’s group arrived in front of them, and they brought their family with them.

”Senior Ye! Grandmaster!” Han Ling saluted Ye Mingran and Ye Futian, surprising the four young demons behind them.

Both of them nodded to Han Ling, but Ye Mingran briefly glanced at Feng Yao before asking Zhang Fei [5]. ”What’s your reason for inviting us to your sect opening event? There’s no way you invited us just because of your master’s relationship with us, right?”

”Since my master has a relationship with you guys, I should be the same, right?” Zhang Fei [5] then cupped his hands to Ye Futian. ”Great-grandmaster.”

Ye Futian nodded at him, rubbing his long beard. ”Actually, I would rather not come here because our presence would bring trouble for you, especially since you invited so many cultivators to attend your event. However, Little Han told me about your swordsmanship skills, and he also told me that you were more skilled than him in executing my Forgotten Sword Technique. Therefore, I decided to come, and I wanted to see your abilities in person.”

”I’ll show you later, but we should go somewhere else to talk.” Zhang Fei [5] enveloped them with his aura and took them to the back of the mountain.

Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun, who were chatting with Jia Yuyan there, were momentarily surprised by the arrival of the two female demon gods and their families. However, they were not surprised by Zhang Fei [5]’s decision to invite the demons, especially since their granddaughter had already explained everything to them.

Ye Futian and the two female demon gods were also surprised by the presence of the two seniors from the fairy race there, but they remembered that Zhang Fei [5] had connections with all the races.

”So, what is your purpose in inviting us here?” Nalan Shizhe asked without beating around the bush.

Just like their mother, Nalan Wangzi and Nalan Huanzi were also curious about Zhang Fei [5]’s reason for inviting them and the Endless Night Demon Race.

”You are my family, so I have to invite you to important events of my sect, right?” Zhang Fei [5]’s answer perplexed them, especially since it was clear that they didn’t have any relationship, let alone a familial relationship. ”Wait a minute.”

All the demons raised their eyebrows as soon as Zhang Fei [5] opened the portal to the training space, followed by gasps of shock from Nalan Shizhe, Nalan Wangzi, and Nalan Huanzi, especially after Nalan Yushu walked out from within.

Ye Mingran and Ye Futian exchanged glances for a moment; they did not expect that Nalan Yushu had already reformed her body. The four young demons behind them were shocked by her return, especially since they had never heard the news about it.

”Hehehe.” Nalan Yushu giggled, looking at their reactions. ”Mother! Big Brother! Big Sis! I’m back!”

Nalan Shizhe’s body trembled, and tears involuntarily dripped from the corners of his eyes. Nalan Wangzi and Nalan Huanzi looked shocked and excited to see their little sister again after tens of thousands of years, but they did not expect that she would be together with Zhang Fei [5].

Nalan Shizhe stretched out her hands, grabbed Nalan Yushu’s cheeks, and rubbed them. ”Yushu... Yushu... is this really you?”

”Mother! It’s really me!” Nalan Yushu immediately hugged her mother tightly and began to sob. ”I’m sorry; I’ve made you worry for tens of thousands of years, but I’m back now.”

”Yushu...” Nalan Shizhe burst into tears as soon as she felt the warmth of her daughter’s body, and she hugged Nalan Yushu so tightly as if she was afraid of losing her again. ”My daughter... you finally came back to me.”

Nalan Yushu nodded slightly. ”Yes, I’m back, Mother.”

Nalan Wangzi and Nalan Huanzi also cried seeing their mother and little sister finally reunited after tens of thousands of years. They did not disturb the two and waited for them to vent their longings first. However, they noticed something different about their little sister’s body, and they immediately looked at Zhang Fei [5] in shock, especially after they discovered his Yang Qi inside her body.

Zhang Fei [5] naturally understood their reaction and nodded to them. ”Yushu is my wife, so it’s only natural for me to call you guys my family, right?”

Nalan Shizhe heard that, but she couldn’t care less, and she focused more on expressing her longing for Nalan Yushu that had been buried deep in her heart for so long.

Ye Mingran, Ye Futian, and the four young demons behind them exchanged looks of shock, as they did not expect that Zhang Fei [5] and Nalan Yushu were already husband and wife, which meant he was part of the Soul-Devouring Demon Race.

Nalan Huanzi walked in front of Zhang Fei [5], grabbed his shoulders, and spoke to him. ”I don’t know how your relationship with my little sister has reached this point, but I am truly grateful to you for freeing her soul from the tower, and you also helped her reshape her body.”

”Me too.” Nalan Wangzi stood by her brother’s side before grabbing Zhang Fei [5]’s hand. ”Thank you for helping our sister come back to life and bringing her back to us.”
