Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1176: Wan Jiang’s Decision

Somewhere in the Divine Origin Main Domain, Tianshi Shengjie stood on the edge of a cliff, looking at the two people floating down toward him. ”I thought you two wouldn’t come, Senior Shengyun and Senior Lingzhu.”

”Haha.” Jia Shengyun laughed as he and his wife landed in front of her. ”You are the princess of the Celestial Dragon Race, so how could we dare not accept your invitation, Princess?”

”Why don’t you want to talk in our forest, Princess?” Tianshi Shengjie handed the invitation to Jia Lingzhu, confusing her and her husband. ”What is this?”

”Please read first, Senior Lingzhu.” Jia Lingzhu nodded to Tianshi Shengjie and opened the invitation, but she and Jia Shengyun were confused after they read the name of the Moonlit Passion Sect in it. ”Zhang Fei asked me to hand over this invitation to you two.”

”Zhang Fei?” Both Jia Shengyun and Jia Lingzhu were shocked when they heard the name.

Tianshi Shengjie then explained. ”Zhang Fei joined the sect several months ago, and Qing Qiu’er appointed him as an elder. He has made extensive preparations to transform the sect into a universal one, and he has planned to invite many sects and clans from various regions to attend the opening ceremony. If you two want to know his reason, you should attend the event and ask him directly. Since my business is finished, I will leave now, and both of you should keep this matter hidden from Jia Zizhen.”

”We know.” After Tianshi Shengjie left, Jia Lingzhu directly asked her husband a question. ”Do you think Zhang Fei invited us because of our granddaughter?”

”That’s for sure.” Jia Shengyun nodded at her. ”After all, Yuyan lives with Zhang Fei as his wife. However, I think he has another reason for inviting us, so we should attend his event, and we’ll talk to him in person.”

”What about Jia Zizhen? If we attend the event, I’m sure he will send people to monitor our movements, and he will find Zhang Fei’s whereabouts.” Jia Lingzhu looked worried.

”Since Zhang Fei has made such a decision, I’m sure he has considered the risks.” Jia Shengyun took the invitation from his wife and destroyed it. ”He won’t be able to hide forever, and Jia Zizhen will find him someday, but his decision will speed it up.”

Jia Lingzhu released a soft sigh after hearing that. ”Zhang Fei was destined to be the heir of the ten-tailed fox, but many races are unwilling to accept this fact, including Jia Zizhen. What do you think will happen next?”

”I don’t know.” Jia Shengyun shook his head and looked into the distance. ”Zhang Fei will probably face a lot of trouble soon, but I think he’ll be fine. We’ve both heard reports from our members who met him in the Forbidden Land months ago that he has a connection with the reincarnation of Empress Huo Yanling, so I believe he’ll be fine with her protection.”

”I hope that’s true.”

”Let’s go back now, or Jia Zizhen will be suspicious of us.”

”Yeah.”

”What brought you two here, Princess Wangzi and Prince Huanzi?” Wan Jiang asked the two demons, who had just arrived.

Sima Yun, Helian Xun’er, and Hua Mei’er also looked at them with unfriendly gazes.

”Senior, we didn’t come here to cause trouble, and we only wanted to find out information about our little sister.” Nalan Huanzi was the first to answer.

Nalan Wangzi then explained. ”Our mother discovered that Yushu has come back to life, but she hasn’t contacted her or returned to our territory. Since you were the one in charge of this tower, she believes you know something about the person who freed her soul and helped her reshape her body, and we hope you can tell us about it.”

”Someone did free your sister’s soul from this tower, but unfortunately, I promised someone else not to reveal her savior’s identity to anyone.” Nalan Wangzi and Nalan Huanzi narrowed their eyes at Wan Jiang, but they still didn’t dare to be impudent in front of him. ”Actually, your sister and her savior are already in our realm, but I don’t know their current location because I haven’t met them again.”

”What do you think about that, Brother?” Nalan Wangzi asked.

Nalan Huanzi shook his head slightly. ”Since they are in our realm, and Yuzhu has reshaped her body, I’m sure she will return to us sooner or later. Moreover, we both know her character, and I think she’s having fun somewhere out there, especially since her soul has been imprisoned in this tower for so long. Therefore, we don’t need to bother looking for her, and she will come back by herself after she’s had enough fun.”

”Yeah.” Nalan Wangzi then asked Wan Jiang. ”Does Tian Qiye know about this matter, Senior?”

”Not a single cultivator from our realm knows that your sister’s soul has been freed.” Wan Jiang’s answer relieved Nalan Wangzi and Nalan Huanzi; they were afraid that Tian Qiye would find their sister, and Nalan Yushu would die again if that happened. ”Leave and wait for her return.”

”We will leave now, Senior.”

After the two left, Hua Mei’er immediately spoke. ”Master, my big sister told me that Nalan Shizhe met Zhang Fei in the Forbidden Land more than half a year ago, but she was unaware that her daughter was with him.”

”You’re as stupid as ever, Mei’er!” Hua Mei’er looked at Sima Yun with a furious look. ”Do you know how long it takes to reshape our body? At that time, Nalan Yushu was obviously not there with Zhang Fei, so it was natural that she was not aware that he was related to her daughter.”

Helian Xun’er shook her head at Hua Mei’er. ”Mei’er, you are so old now, so you have to use your brain every time you speak. Moreover, you are an experienced cultivator, and people will laugh at you if you always act foolish and childish.”

”Humph!” Hua Mei’er snorted at the two.

Helian Xun’er then spoke to her master. ”I still find it hard to believe that Zhang Fei has already broken through to the Five Celestial Realms, but what shocks me the most is his current bone age, especially since he is aging so quickly. Moreover, he achieved it only a few years after he arrived in our realm, and all his breakthroughs caused a lot of commotion there, especially his breakthrough in the Moon Illusion Domain. He may still be safe now, but those old fogeys will target him sooner or later.”

”Do you think they would dare to do that, Xun’er?” Unlike his disciple, Wan Jiang is not the least bit worried about Zhang Fei. ”Did you forget about the information Hua Xiang’er gave Mei’er? Empress Huo Yanling and the Eternal Flame have returned, and both of them are by his side now. No sane person would dare attack him, or they would end up facing both of them.”

Helian Xun’er nodded in agreement. ”If they—”

”My big sister just sent me a new message about Zhang Fei, Master.” Wan Jiang and his other two disciples turned to Hua Mei’er directly. ”As you all know, he joined the Moonlit Passion Sect and became an elder in the sect. He carried out his previous plan to transform the sect into a universal one, and he sent out invitations to many cultivators from various domains to attend the opening ceremony of his new sect in a month.”

”Insane! Did Zhang Fei want to commit suicide? Why would he do something like that?” Sima Yun let out an ear-splitting scream. ”If he appeared now, those people would definitely attack him and his sect. Even if Empress Huo Yanling and the Eternal Flame protected him, they wouldn’t be able to protect him from his many enemies.”

Helian Xun’er nodded in agreement with Sima Yun, and she also felt that Zhang Fei was too reckless in doing such a thing.

Unlike them, Wan Jiang still didn’t show the slightest worry about him. ”Xun’er, I want you to go to the Moonlit Passion Sect and join them.”

”Huh?” Wan Jiang’s sudden decision surprised Helian Xun’er and the others. ”Why are you asking me to join them, Master?”

”Do you need to ask my reasons?” Wan Jiang responded, shaking his head. ”However, you only need to go there during the opening ceremony in a month, and you can join them afterward.”

”What if I join that sect too, Master?”

”No.” Wan Jiang rejected Sima Yun. ”I want you to return to our sect in the Peach Garden Domain, and you must inform our sect master to attend the ceremony if Zhang Fei sends the invitation.”

”Master, what—”

”Yes.” Wan Jiang nodded to Helian Xun’er directly. ”We’ve all seen Zhang Fei’s actions in this tower many times, and we also know quite a lot about the abilities of the people around him. Moreover, he has Empress Huo and the Eternal Flame by his side, so building a positive relationship with him and the Moonlit Passion Sect is our best option, and this is our best opportunity to do so.”

”I will return to our sect now.” Sima Yun immediately ran to the location of the portal to the Paradise Realm.

Hua Mei’er then spoke. ”Master, I will return to our domain, but I will not stay in our sect, and I will go to see my big sister directly.”

”Go now.” Hua Mei’er immediately left Wan Jiang and Helian Xun’er. ”Xun’er, I wish you the best.”

”Thank you, master.”
