Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1171: Representative of Two Races

Zhang Fei [5] and Qing Qiu’er led their guests into the sect, but Yan Jinwu and Sima Huiqing did not join them.

”I didn’t expect you to bring these people into this realm.” Tian Huangjin spoke after seeing many familiar faces. After all, she had been living in the Three Mortal Realms for a long time to hunt down Xereth, and she had met many of them before.

Tian Shengjie asked Zhang Fei [5]. ”Aren’t some of them people from the Yin-Yang Pavilion and the Heavenly Sword Sect?”

”They are indeed people from those two sects; I also brought people from the Hidden Sea Sect and people from various clans across different regions.” Zhang Fei [5] then answered Tian Huangjin. ”As you already know, they are my closest acquaintances, and they have helped me a lot. Therefore, I brought them here, and they will help me to develop this sect.”

Both Tian Huangjin and Tian Shengjie nodded in understanding. ”So, when is your sect opening ceremony?”

”In a month.” Zhang Fei [5] handed two invitations to them. ”We are making final preparations, and this sect will officially become a universal sect by then.”

”Why is there another barrier in that area?” Tian Huangjin pointed in one direction.

Tianshi Shengjie pointed in another direction. ”That area too.”

”The barrier to the east is where the beast races live, and I deliberately separated their residence from the rest. Since you’re a beast yourself, you should already understand my reasoning, right?” Tianshi Shengjie told Zhang Fei [5], who then pointed to the back of the mountain. ”That area will be the location of my residence, and I set up several formation arrays there to separate my family from the rest.”

”I previously thought that you wouldn’t let them out of your private place because you’re too possessive.” Tianshi Shengjie said this with a teasing tone.

Zhang Fei [5] rubbed his nose. ”They have been focused on their cultivation for decades in isolation, so they want to come out and go on an adventure in this realm to prove the results of their training.”

”Are you really going to let them go on an adventure? Aren’t you worried that some evil cultivators will target them?” Tian Huangjin asked.

”Naturally, I will always worry about their safety, but cultivators aren’t birds, and we can’t keep them in cages forever.” Zhang Fei [5] then asked her. ”I’m sure there are some cultivators in your race with high cultivation, but they don’t have any experience of the outside world, especially since they’ve been living under the protection of their families, right?”

”You’re right about that, Zhang Fei.” Tian Huotian answered him first. ”I won’t talk about other people, but some of my brothers and sisters are like that. Their cultivation has reached the Celestial King and Celestial Emperor Realms, but their experience cannot be compared with yours. Maybe, they won’t be able to do anything if they spar with these people whose cultivation is still at the Seven Divine Realms.”

”The best teachers in shaping a cultivator’s character are experience, dangers, life-and-death battles, and many more.” Tian Huotian agreed with Zhang Fei [5]. ”In fact, many of my wives are experienced cultivators, and they have often faced such situations in the past. However, I am overly paranoid and worried about their safety, and I treated them like birds for so many years.”

”Hahaha.” Tianshi Shengjie laughed out loud. ”I’ve been following your progress since you started your cultivation path in the Sky Jade Realm, and all your actions there are still fresh in my memory. Back then, I was amazed by your action to save Liu Qingyu from Pang Hong because you had only cultivated for two days, but you were brave enough to face an expert cultivator like him, and you managed to save her and Liu Hua. After that, you fought almost many strong clans there, and you also succeeded in destroying them. Your most remarkable achievement was leading them to purge those heretics, but you suddenly turned too cautious, and you took them to your private place to avoid danger, which is quite disappointing to me.”

”Hey! Just admit that you’ve fallen in love with me; otherwise, you wouldn’t have been stalking me for so long, right?” The two people from the beast race frowned as soon as Zhang Fei [5] said that to Tianshi Shengjie.

Tianshi Shengjie neither denied nor agreed; instead, she asked him again. ”What made you change your mind about letting them live freely?”

”I made this decision after experiencing several incidents in the past that almost cost me my life.” Tianshi Shengjie and the others were shocked to hear that, but Zhang Fei [5] told them a few things without mentioning his cursed demon heart. ”Thus, I changed my mind, and I agreed to their request to live outside. I will allow them to wander to other domains to gain more experience, but I won’t let them leave just like that, and I will provide them with several things to ensure their safety.”

Zhang Fei [5] and Qing Qiu’er did not bring them to the main hall; instead, they took their guests to the mountaintop.

Upon their arrival, Zhang Fei [5] asked Tianshi Shengjie and Tian Huangjin directly, ”Why did you bring them here? I contacted both of you simply to provide the invitation.”

”Zhang Fei, the woman is an Aurora-Plume Peacock, and her name is Kong Que. The man is a Golden Fang Lion, and his name is Shi Yajin.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately observed the two people, but they looked haughty even though they were only divine beasts. ”My emperor has heard about this sect, and he sent them as our representatives to establish closer relations with you.”

Tian Huanjin then explained. ”My father wanted to send some other people as representatives of our race, but I decided to join you myself. However, Huotian and Zhiling decided to join me, so I brought them here today.”

”Eh?” Tian Huangjin’s decision surprised Zhang Fei [5] and Qing Qiu’er. ”Hey, you are the daughter of a grand elder, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for you to join my sect, right?”

Tian Huangjin shook her head in response. ”I never cared about my status as the daughter of a grand elder. My father and I are two different people, and I can decide for myself regardless of my status. Furthermore, he has agreed with my decision, so I will be staying here starting today.”

”Please take care of us.” Tian Huotian and Tian Zhiling spoke.

Kong Que and Shi Yajin nodded at them. ”Please take care of us.”

”Will you accept them?” Zhang Fei [5] asked Qing Qiu’er.

Qing Qiu’er nodded slightly. ”Since they’ve decided, we’ll accept them. Even if they don’t mind their status, Tian Huangjin, Tian Huotian, and Tian Zhiling cannot be our disciples; instead, they will become new elders. Meanwhile, Kong Que and Shi Yajin’s cultivation is still at the Celestial King Realm, so they will become our inner disciples.”

”Do you guys mind that?” All of them shook their heads at Zhang Fei [5], who immediately handed them several tokens. Elder tokens for Tian Huangjin, Tian Huotian, and Tian Zhiling. Disciple tokens for Kong Que and Shi Yajin. ”What about you, Shengjie? Would you like to join us?”

”No.” Tianshi Shengji’s answer disappointed Zhang Fei [5]. ”I know your purpose in inviting me to join this sect, so I won’t do it, and I will go straight back to my domain to report to my emperor after this.”

”You can run away now, but I’ll have you in the future.” Tianshi Shengjie simply smiled at Zhang Fei [5]. ”I need your help contacting Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun, and please tell them that I’m inviting them to this sect’s opening ceremony.”

”Why do you want to invite them both? Aren’t you afraid that the Fairy King will discover your location?” Zhang Fei’s request confused not only Tianshi Shengji but also Tian Huangjin.

”I can’t say anything for now, but I hope they’ll be willing to attend then. As for the Fairy King, I’ve already prepared several plans to counter him if he manages to find me and attack me.” Tianshi Shengji stared at Zhang Fei [5] for a while before agreeing. ”Thank you.”

”No need.” Tianshi Shengjie then asked him about something else. ”Why don’t you bring the natural races from the Evergreen Spirit Haven to this realm?”

”You still dare ask that, huh?” Tianshi Shengjie laughed as Zhang Fei [5] put on an annoyed look. ”I don’t like them, and I only consider them to be my servants, which is because of what you did back then. Therefore, I will never bring them to this realm, but I have already told them how to ascend here.”

”Hahaha.” Tianshi Shengjie laughed at that. ”Hey! More than two decades have passed for you since then, but you still hold a grudge against me regarding that matter.”

Zhang Fei [5] shrugged his shoulders. ”Before I can get you and spank your ass, I will never forget the events of that day.”

”Up to you, then.” Tianshi Shengjie sighed helplessly. ”Since my business is finished, I will go to see Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun, and we will meet again in a month.”

After Tianshi Shengji left, Qing Qiu’er brought the five new members to the area designated for elders and inner disciples. Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [5] stood by the artificial lake and thought about something, but a voice transmission suddenly came in, making him smile.
