Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1183: Opening Ceremony

Zhang Fei [5] left everything to Qing Qiu’er and the elders, but he observed the situation from behind the mountain with Feng Yao and the others. They sensed the changes in the Twin Flames Domain, particularly because countless cultivators continued to arrive.

Those cultivators had no intention of attending the sect’s event; instead, they went straight to the central area, and they waited there for the portal to the Endless Night Dungeon to open, even though night was still far away.

Qing Qiu’er decided to begin the opening ceremony, but they didn’t hold it in the hall as usual. Instead, they held it in the air, and all the guests could watch it without having to gather in one place. However, it did not attract their attention, and they were more interested in watching the live performances in the various halls.

Long Wuzhao, Long Xuekong, Tianshi Bailong, and the demons decided not to appear in public because their presence would only bring commotion and disrupt the course of the event.

As he originally planned, Zhang Fei [5] asked Lin Jingxia, Ji Changlan, Gong Ren, and others to do live performances based on their respective fields of expertise to attract public interest. After all, such live performances were very rare, and he wanted to show the public that their sect had competent people in those fields.

Apart from that, Zhang Fei [5] asked Zhu Yan and several women to prepare many Earth dishes to entertain their guests. He asked them to spread the dishes in all areas so the guests could watch those live performances while enjoying them.

Zhang Fei [5] suddenly received a voice transmission, and he directly went to meet that person.

”Zhang Fei, you have changed a lot since our last meeting in the Sovereign Heaven Realm. Not only did you join this sect, but you also transformed it entirely.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed in response. ”How did you know that I was in this sect, Senior Xun’er?”

”Her.” Helian Xun’er pointed at Hua Mei’er, who was hiding behind an old man and an old woman. ”You invited Beiming Youhuang to attend this event, and Hua Xiang’er told Mei’er about you and this sect. Therefore, I decided to come here, even though you forgot not to invite me.”

”To be honest, my busy schedule almost made me forget about the Star Tower, but I’m glad you came here.” Zhang Fei [5] then looked at the two seniors. ”Who are these two seniors?”

Helian Xun’er directly introduced them. ”These two are the leaders of our Emerald Bamboo Sect in the Peach Garden Domain, Li Tianyu and his wife, Lan Yueru.”

”Nice to meet you both, and welcome to my sect, Senior Tianyu and Senior Yueru.” Zhang Fei [5] cupped his hands to them.

Li Tianyu rubbed his white beard as he nodded. ”Initially, we were hesitant to come, especially since we didn’t know each other yet. However, Wan Jiang convinced us to come, so please forgive us for coming uninvited.”

”That’s not a problem, senior.” Zhang Fei [5] replied with a shake of his head. ”I’m actually pleased that you two are willing to attend our event, seniors. After all, I’m still relatively new to this realm, and I don’t know much about the sects and clans here. Furthermore, this sect’s reputation has never been good in the past, so I’m hesitant to invite too many people myself.”

Lan Yueru then spoke to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Honestly, we’ve never had a problem with dual cultivation sects because everyone has their own preferences, but we rarely mingle with cultivators from other domains, so not many people know about our sect.”

’Tch! This perverted bad egg pretends to be good in front of them!’ Hua Mei’er inwardly grumbled as she listened to them.

”Please let me show you the changes in the sect, seniors.” Zhang Fei [5] took them to the alchemy hall’s area first, where Lin Jingxia was doing an alchemy live show.

Li Tianyu and Lan Yueru looked amazed watching Lin Jingxia’s skill and calmness in concocting pills. ”She is a god-rank alchemist, right?”

”Yes, Senior.”

Helian Xun’er pointed to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Seniors, this man is actually also a god-rank alchemist, but he doesn’t seem to want to show his abilities to the public.”

”Oh?” Li Tianyu and Lan Yueru looked at him with surprise. ”Is it true?”

Zhang Fei [5] showed them his alchemy token. ”I’m not interested in appearing in public, and Senior Jingxia’s abilities in alchemy are better than mine, so I asked her to do it.”

”You still have other abilities, right? Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to bring about major changes to this sect.” Li Tianyu spoke with certainty.

”I’m a god-rank sword master, a supreme-rank blacksmith, a rank 10 array master, and many more.” Li Tianyu and Lan Yueru finally understood Wang Jian’s reasoning to convince them to establish a good relationship with Zhang Fei [5].

Li Tianyu then took out a token and handed it to him. ”We’ve never had a relationship before, but I hope we can build a good relationship in the future, and this token is a symbol of our sincerity in establishing a relationship with you and this sect.”

”I accept it, Senior.” Zhang Fei [5] stored the token before taking out four bottles of pills and handing them two each. ”The pills inside are my concoction; please consider them a gift for our new relationship.”

”Thank you.” Both of them sincerely spoke.

Li Tianyu then told him something else. ”I forgot to tell you that Xun’er chose to join your sect, but she will also remain our disciple. This way, she will become the liaison between the sects, and I hope our relationship will become better and better in the future.”

Zhang Fei [5] was surprised to hear that. ”Why did you suddenly decide to join us, Senior Xun’er?”

”Don’t you already know the answer?” Helian Xun’er turned the question over with a faint smile.

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed at that. ”That’s right, I shouldn’t have asked that. No matter what, I’m glad you joined us, Senior Xun’er.”

Helian Xun’er smiled at that. ”Since you already know the answer, please stop calling me senior and just call me by my name.”

”Alright, Xun’er.” Thereafter, Zhang Fei [5] led them to look at the other halls while enjoying the dishes available in each area.

Apart from accompanying Li Tianyu and Lan Yueru, Zhang Fei [5] didn’t forget to observe all the guests who were enjoying themselves by watching live performances and eating the dishes. As usual, Mei displayed their data for him, and she recorded everything into the system.

As time passed, more and more cultivators arrived, making the new areas of the Moonlit Passion Sect increasingly filled with guests. Some went to the mountain to see the dual cultivation hall, mainly due to their interest in the path.

As Zhang Fei [5] expected, the live performances piqued the interest of many guests, especially after they witnessed the abilities of Lin Jingxia, Hun Di, Ji Changlan, and others. Some of them decided to send their younger generation to join the sect, but the number of those who were hesitant was still significantly larger, primarily due to the sect’s reputation.

Even though they had witnessed the sect’s significant changes, they still lacked the confidence to send their younger generation there, as they feared that people would look down on their clans.

”Kid.”

Zhang Fei [5] turned to Ma Kuangyu, who was running towards him. ”What’s wrong, Old Ma?”

”Look at them.” Ma Kuangyu pointed at the group of people who had just arrived outside the barrier. ”They are people from the Nirvana Sky Main Domain, and the person standing at the forefront is Sheng Yaohun, the current leader of the Immortal Soul Palace.”

Zhang Fei [5] looked back at those people. ”Why did they come here?”

”They must want to go to the dungeon, and they probably detected activity in this sect, so they decided to come uninvited.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding to Ma Kuangyu. ”The person beside Sheng Yaohun is the one who betrayed me, Gongsun Ye.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5] hurriedly read the statuses of the two people. ”Their cultivation has reached the 3-Sun Celestial Venerable Realm, huh?”

”What—”

”Old Ma!” Zhang Fei [5] and Ma Kuangyu looked at Luo Fenghan and Zhuang Qihong immediately. ”I think you should hide first, or those people will cause chaos if they find you here.”

”The Spirit Temple, huh? You don’t need to hide from them, and I will accompany Zhang Fei to meet them.” Without waiting for their answer, Feng Yao immediately grabbed Zhang Fei [5]’s shoulder and brought him out of the barrier.

”Senior Sheng, how could this sect suddenly become this big?”

Sheng Yaohun didn’t answer Gongsun Ye directly and looked at Feng Yao and Zhang Fei [5], who had just appeared in front of them.

Sheng Yaohun did not spare a glance at Zhang Fei [5], especially since he was too weak for him. However, he was quite wary of Feng Yao because he couldn’t sense her aura or presence even though they were so close. ”Are you the new leader of this sect?”

”We didn’t invite any of you.” Sheng Yaohun and his group frowned at Feng Yao’s response.

Gongsun Ye wanted to shout at Feng Yao, but Huo Lanyin, Huo Hao’er, and Huo Yu’er suddenly appeared, forcing him to swallow his words. ’What are people from the Blazing Nirvana Sect doing in this small sect?’
