A notification appeared in Zhang Fei’s [5] mind as soon as they arrived at the Abyssal Realm. However, the atmosphere was extremely tense, with eerie screams ringing out from all corners, and the temperature dropped dramatically.

”What exactly happened in this realm, Fei? Why has it become like this?” Wang Yin looked around the realm in confusion, but she trembled when she sensed a chilling and deadly aura coming from several directions.

Zhang Fei [5] summoned Feng Yichen out of the training space. ”The situation in this realm happened because of the Nine Yin Soul Banner, Master.”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”According to Old Kui, the Nine Yin Soul Banner broke free from the control of the demon emperor of this realm, and the nine soul wraiths within it turned against them.”

”Here one of them comes.”

Zhang Fei [5] summoned the demon extermination sword, channeled his light element into it, and slashed it toward the soul wraith. ”Dust Slash!”

The soul wraith let out an eerie shriek after Zhang Fei [5]’s slash split its body, but its body fused again and flew even faster towards them.

”Master.”

Zhang Fei [5] slashed his sword again, but he didn’t use his light element; instead, he imbued the Eternal Flame into his attack.

The soul wraith shrieked in pain as the Eternal Flame burned its two halves, split in two by Zhang Fei [5]’s attacks, and the result was as expected, as it was instantly burned to nothing.

”The Eternal Flame is truly too terrifying, Master. It can incinerate anything, including souls.” Feng Yichen spoke as she hugged her trembling body, imagining the flames hitting her.

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [5] then tried to find the other eight soul wraiths, finding them scattered across several areas quite far away and disturbing cities in those areas.

Morgana, Oz the First, the demon emperor, and several demon elders suddenly appeared in front of them.

The demon emperor and his subordinates frowned as soon as they saw Feng Yichen, especially since she once helped Xereth to attack their realm. However, none of them dared to attack her, mainly because her aura was much stronger than any of them.

Unlike them, Morgana and Oz the First were shocked once they sensed that Zhang Fei [5] had become much stronger than them.

”I’ve gone to the realm beyond before, and I spent more than two decades in seclusion.” Morgana and Oz the First nodded in understanding to Zhang Fei [5]. ”After I take care of those soul wraiths, I will take you two to that realm.”

After saying that, Zhang Fei [5] disappeared from their sight and went to bury the rest of the soul wraiths.

”Where is the Nine Yin Soul Banner?” Feng Yichen asked the demon emperor and the others. ”Hand it over to me now.”

”We—”

Morgana stopped the demon emperor. ”Just hand the banner to her, Emperor. The banner once belonged to the Heavenly Fiend Demon God, who was a demon from the realm beyond and much stronger than Xereth. The banner suddenly turning against you might have something to do with him, and we’ll be in danger if he descends to this realm.”

”Over there.” The demon emperor pointed in one direction. ”I kept the banner there, but I couldn’t approach it anymore after it turned against me, and the area was covered by a strange barrier.”

”Hmm?” Feng Yichen looked in that direction and found the Nine Yin Soul Banner there, but she did not immediately go there because she sensed something strange from it.

”Why do I feel like you are not your usual self?” Morgana asked Wang Yin after observing her behavior.

Wang Yin shook her head in response. ”Nothing happened to me, and I’m fine as usual. I just miss Zhang Fei because we haven’t seen each other for a long time, and I’ll be going to that realm with him after this.”

”Hmm?” Morgana raised an eyebrow upon hearing that, especially since she remembered for sure that Zhang Fei [5] and Wang Yin didn’t have such a relationship before, and their relationship was nothing more than friends back then.

On the other hand, Oz the First followed Zhang Fei [5]’s movement in circling the realm and killing those soul wraiths. ”The last time we met him was over a year ago, and he has already surpassed all the cultivators in the Three Mortal Realms. Moreover, his flame is truly peculiar, and it burns them without a trace.”

”That’s true.” Morgana then asked Feng Yichen. ”How can his progress be so fast? What did he mean before by doing seclusion for more than two decades?”

”You’ve trained in his training place before, right?” Morgana nodded at Feng Yichen. ”The flow of time in there has become four times faster after he ascended to the Paradise Realm, and the flow of time in that realm is also much faster than here. Moreover, we no longer cultivate using Divine Qi but Celestial Qi, but I won’t explain it in detail to you, and you can experience it for yourself when he takes you two there.”

Morgana nodded in understanding before turning to the demon emperor and the others. ”Apparently, it’s time for us to part ways; my husband and I will follow Zhang Fei [5] to that realm. If you all want to go to that realm, you can try challenging the Dark Tower in the Dark Moon Realm. If you succeed in reaching the top of that tower, you can ascend to that realm.”

The demon emperor and his subordinates could understand that, especially since they did not have any relationship with Zhang Fei [5]. ”The Dark Tower in the Dark Moon Realm, right? We will try to challenge that tower and ascend to the Paradise Realm, and we will meet again in the future.”

”I hope so.” Morgana nodded slightly.

The notification appeared along with the shriek of the last soul wraith, which quickly disappeared after being burned by Zhang Fei [5]’s Eternal Flame. Without the flame, he wouldn’t have managed to eliminate them so quickly, especially since his light element was ineffective against them.

Feng Yichen brought Wang Yin, Morgana, and Oz the First to Zhang Fei [5]’s side directly. She then pointed toward the location of the Nine Yin Soul Banner. ”The banner is there, Master. However, I’m not sure we can get through the barrier that covers it, especially since it’s stronger than both of us.”

”Let’s check it first.”

They had arrived at the location of the Nine Yin Soul Banner, but a black barrier covered the area. Zhang Fei [5] transformed into his demon form and touched it, but it knocked him back.

[Master, the strength of this barrier is equivalent to the strength of Qi Qingxiu, Nalan Shizhe, and Ye Mingran. If you force yourself to breach it, you will definitely suffer serious injuries, so you should not do it.]

Zhang Fei [5] nodded slightly. ’How can this barrier activate suddenly? Could it be that the Heavenly Fiend Demon God activated it?’

[Master, this Nine Yin Soul Banner has been in the Three Mortal Realms for a long time, so I think your guess is wrong. If the Heavenly Fiend Demon God activated it remotely, he should have done it a long time ago, and he didn’t need to wait until today.]

While Zhang Fei [5] and Mei were discussing, Wang Yin’s eyes suddenly turned blank, and she directly jumped into the barrier, shocking everyone.

”Yin’er!” Zhang Fei [5] shouted out to her, but Wang Yin didn’t turn around or reply to him, and she walked toward the Nine Yin Soul Banner. He tried to attack the barrier, but it knocked him back once again, stronger than before. ”Shit!”

”What happened, Master? How did she manage to enter this barrier?” Feng Yichen asked, touching the barrier before being knocked back.

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head at her. ”I’m sure it wasn’t Wang Yin who did it, but the mysterious woman who controlled her.”

”Is that true, Zhang Fei? Is she really under a woman’s control?” Morgana asked in panic, especially since Wang Yin was her old friend.

”Look.” They immediately looked at the shadow of the woman pointed at by Zhang Fei [5]. ”That woman came from the Ancient Nether Clan, and her name was Yuan Xiajie. She has controlled Wang Yin for a long time, and the change in her character also occurred because of her, as she deliberately manipulated her memories.”

’How did this kid learn about my identity? That phoenix woman does know my race, but she shouldn’t know my name.’ Yuan Xiajie looked at Zhang Fei [5], but he couldn’t see her shocked expression because she was wearing a mask. ’Fortunately, she is a corpse demon; otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to take this banner in a situation like this.’

Yuan Xiajie then ordered Wang Yin to take the Nine Yin Soul Banner before storing it in a special container, causing the barrier to slowly disappear. She looked at Zhang Fei [5] for a moment before taking the female corpse demon away from that realm.

”Fuck!” Zhang Fei [5] cursed after the two had disappeared. ”What is that damn woman’s real purpose? Why did she take Wang Yin away with her?”
