Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1190: Beasts And Demons

Since most of them were beasts, they sent them back to the beast space. They did not stay there and instead took the other women away, while Zhang Fei [5], Luo Yunxiao, and Nalan Yushu chose to remain.

’Are they evil mythical beasts, husband?’ Luo Yunxiao inquired via the harem link.

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ’They are the Two-Headed Ghost Dragon and the Blood-Horned Xiezhi, and their cultivation is at the 3-Sun Celestial Venerable Realm.’

’What kind of beast is Blood-Horned Xiezhi?’ Nalan Yushu asked, observing the beast.

Zhang Fei [5] read the data about the beast that Mei had displayed before informing them. ’The Blood-Horned Xiezhi is a corrupted version of the normal Xiezhi, renowned as a righteous judge of good and evil. I don’t know how it turned evil, but it possesses extraordinary abilities, and its judgment flame is quite deadly, especially to those who are wicked.’

’Since the beast itself has become evil, it should lose its abilities, right?’

’You are mistaken, Yunxiao.’ Zhang Fei [5] pointed to the blood horn on the beast’s head. ’Although it has become evil, it still possesses the judgment flame. Additionally, its roar will directly attack our souls, causing them to shatter immediately if we are weak. Its horn is also scary because it will cause endless bleeding no matter how good our healing is or how many healing items we consume.’

’What about the Two-Headed Ghost Dragon?’

’The Two-Headed Ghost Dragon was born from two corrupted dragon corpses, nourished by yin miasma and lingering resentment. The left head can release a Yin Flame, while the right head can devour almost everything, including souls. If the beast manages to devour our souls, we will live as soulless puppets for the rest of our lives.’ Both women looked at Zhang Fei [5] with a frown. ’The beast is almost immortal, especially since it will continue to regenerate by absorbing the souls of living creatures. The only way to kill it is to keep it away from this kind of place, and we must burn its body to ashes before it has a chance to regenerate.’

’Then—’ Nalan Yushu did not continue her words, and her expression turned furious as the Two-Headed Ghost Dragon began to devour those souls. ’This bastard! Those souls are mine!’

Zhang Fei [5] grabbed her shoulder. ’Forget those souls! We are not the Two-Headed Ghost Dragon’s match, and we will only die in vain if we attack it.’

’Tch!’ Nalan Yushu gritted her teeth, but to her surprise, three demons suddenly appeared. ’The man in black is Mo Taizi, the second prince of the Celestial Demon Race, and the two old men behind him are Mo Shentian’s confidants.’

’Oh?’ Zhang Fei [5] checked the data about the three demons. ’Mo Zuozai and Mo Zhengzai’s cultivation has reached the 3-Sun Celestial Venerable too.’

Nalan Yushu nodded at him. ’Their role within the Celestial Demon Race is crucial, and Mo Shentian mostly delegates external affairs to them. However, I feel there is something strange about them, so we should listen to their conversation first.’

’Yeah.’

”Hey, Long Gui! Stop absorbing those souls!” The Blood-Horned Xiezhi spoke to his comrade before turning into a man with a tall and slender figure, clad in armor forged of black bone and blood runes, carrying a suffocating killing intent. His eyes have crimson irises with black sclera. His dark crimson-black hair was left messy, and a jagged blood-red horn protruded from his forehead.

Long Gui immediately stopped and looked at the three demons for a while before turning into a man with long, pale white hair, a bulky figure, and pale skin with faint scales. His left eye was ghostly white, and the right was blood crimson. Two pale white dragon horns curved backwards from his temples. A subtle shadow lingered behind him, like a distorted second figure, symbolizing the dragon’s other head. ”You three are from the Celestial Demon Race, right?”

”Yes, two seniors.” Mo Taizi respectfully replied. ”My father asked me to meet one of the leaders of the evil beast races, but I didn’t expect to meet you two here.”

Long Gui turned to his friend before asking them, ”What does Mo Shentian want from us?”

”Cooperation.” Mo Zhengzai’s answer surprised both beasts. ”My lord wants to unite all demon races under his control, but he can’t do it alone, with all the demon gods’ strengths almost equal. Some demon gods are on his side, but others still harbor desires to take his place. Therefore, he wants to cooperate with the evil beast races to subdue them.”

Long Gui raised an eyebrow after hearing that. ”What do you think about that, Xie Zhi?”

”Hmm?” Xie Zhi rested his chin in thought. ”As far as I know, the situation in the demon race is almost the same as ours. and we always had difficulty subduing those beast races under the leadership of Long Wuzhao. If all the demon races unite under Mo Shentian, he should be able to help us get rid of them. However, we cannot make a decision regarding this matter, and we must inform our leaders first of his request. Unfortunately, we can’t contact them from this dungeon, so we’ll have to wait to get back to report it.”

”You’re right.” Long Gui then spoke to them. ”Tell Mo Shentian that we will report this matter to our leaders later, and they will definitely send someone to meet him afterwards.”

The three demons nodded to them. ”Alright, I will tell my father about this.”

”So, which demon race does Mo Shentian target first? I’m sure it’s not the Asura Demon Race, right?” Xie Zhi asked them.

”Currently, our demon race is related to the Asura Demon Race by marriage, and Shang Zhanluo’s strength cannot be underestimated. He will be truly powerful if he uses the Asura Bloodline Awakening Technique; not even your four leaders can stop him.” Xie Zhi and Long Gui frowned at Mo Zuozai, but they did not refute him. ”The weakest of the ten demon gods is Qi Qingxiu, but her ability to control the seven emotions of living beings is very troublesome, and I’m sure Lord Qiongqi must still remember the effects of her abilities.”

Xie Zhi nodded in agreement with that. ”Lord Qiongqi has long been attracted to Qi Qingxiu, and he longed for her to be his wife. However, she kept rejecting him, and she used her abilities to chase him away.”

”That’s why we won’t make a move against Qi Qingxiu for now, and we’ll start from the Faceless Demon Race.” Mo Zuozai’s answer surprised them. ”That demon race has the best stealth skills, and we will utilize their abilities to infiltrate the other demon races. My lord is confident that no demon god will notice our actions, but we have one problem.”

”What’s the problem?”

”The problem is that we are having difficulty finding Wu Mian’s true body.” Xie Zhi and Long Gui were not too surprised by Mo Taizi’s answer. ”Apart from his ability to disguise himself, he also has the ability to switch bodies, and we still haven’t managed to find the location of his true body.”

Mo Zhengzai then spoke. ”If we want to subdue Wu Mian, we must find his true body first. My lord said that someone among the evil beast races has the ability to do so, so he hopes she can help us find his true body.”

”Mo Shentian is right about that.” Long Gui replied with a light nod. ”However, that woman is beyond our lords’ control, and she dislikes your demon race. Therefore, I’m sure she won’t be willing to help you, so you have to think of another way to find Wu Mian’s true body.”

”What really happened, Senior? Why does she dislike our demon race?” Mo Taizi asked.

Long Gui shook his head in response. ”I don’t know the details, but your father surely knows her reasons, especially since she hates him so much.”

”What’s her name, Senior? What kind of beast is she?”

Xie Zhi told them directly, ”No one knows what kind of beast Dong Xuanyin is. She looks more like a koi, but she also looks like a carp. She has a third eye that can see through almost everything, including the disguises of the Faceless Demon Race, so she is the only beast that can help you find Wu Mian’s true body. If you want her help, you have to ask Mo Shentian to see her first; otherwise, you should forget about it.”

”I see.” Mo Taizi nodded in understanding. ”In that case, I will discuss the matter with my father after we return. Since our discussion is over, we will go to carry out our other tasks, two seniors.”

”Go.” After the three demons left, Long Gui asked Xie Zhi. ”Do you think it would be beneficial if we cooperated with them? Lord Taotie once said that Mo Shentian had sky-high ambitions; he not only wanted to unite the demon race, but he also wanted to subdue the other races.”

Xie Zhi could only shake his head. ”We only need to convey Mo Shentian’s request to our leaders, and they will decide whether to accept it or not. They are not stupid, and they know his cunning, so the cooperation will probably never happen. Let’s go! There’s nothing here but these souls, so we don’t need to waste time here.”

Long Gui looked at the souls below them before following Xie Zhi, relieving Zhang Fei [5] and the two women.
