Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1185: Demons Join The Sect

Ye Futian released his embrace from Ye Zhiye and Tian Shuixiang and looked at them, but they remained silent in place as they tried to process the sudden situation, leaving them unable to speak or react.

Ye Futian understood their situation, so he said nothing and let them be, waiting for them to be ready to speak to him.

Zhang Fei [5] patted Ye Zhiye and Tian Shuixiang’s shoulders. ”I know you two must be shocked, confused, and unprepared because I didn’t tell you two about this. As I said before, you two no longer need to hide because my great-grandmaster has decided to accept your relationship. If you two are willing, I want you to stay in this sect to help me develop it into a powerful force in this realm.”

”Is that true, Father?” Ye Zhiye finally asked. ”Do you really approve of my relationship with my husband now?”

”Yes.” Ye Futian took his daughter’s hand and rubbed it. ”I will never go back on my word, and you can live the life you choose with Xiuluo. Therefore, you two don’t need to run away or hide from me anymore, and I will fully support your relationship.”

”Uncle Ye, I—”

”No need.” Ye Futian stopped Tian Shuixiang and patted his shoulder. ”You two don’t owe me anything, and I am the one who owes you both an apology. Therefore, I apologize to you both for my arrogant and stubborn decisions in the past.”

”Father.”

Ye Futian stopped them from kneeling. ”I’m not a good father, so you don’t need to do such a thing. I have accepted your relationship, but your father is different from me. Shang Zhui will never accept the relationship between the two of you, so you should avoid bringing your wife into your domain. If he finds you two there, he won’t hesitate to kill you both straight away.”

”I understand, Father.” Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye immediately hugged Tian Futian. ”Thank you for finally accepting our relationship, Father.”

Ye Futian nodded slightly as he hugged them back. ”You two have been married for so long, but you still don’t have children. Since the situation has changed, I hope you will have children soon so I can be a grandfather.”

”Haha.” Both Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye laughed as they released their embrace from him. ”Please forgive us, Father. We are not ready to have children, and we will wait until our cultivation breaks through to the 3-Sun Celestial Venerable Realm first.”

Ye Futian exhaled softly. ”It seems I will have to wait a little longer to have a grandchild.”

”Since you two have returned, are you going back to our domain?” Ye Mingran asked as she approached them.

Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye exchanged glances for a moment before refusing. ”Please forgive us, Senior Ye. Zhiye and I have already decided to help Zhang Fei [5], so we will stay in this sect.”

”Since you two have made that decision, I won’t force you to return.” Ye Mingran looked back and asked the two young demons to come forward before speaking to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Since you want to build this sect as a home for all races, I want Ye Xuan and Ye Yuanzhi to join. What do you think about this?”

Zhang Fei [5] observed the two young demons first, especially their souls. After he was sure that neither of them had any problems, he immediately agreed to Ye Mingran’s request. ”Alright, the two of them can join this sect, but they might face some obstacles at first. After all, relations between demons and other races have never been good, and many of them always harbor bad prejudices against demons.”

”Don’t worry, they are not soft young people, and I’m sure they can adapt well.” Ye Mingran then spoke to them. ”From now on, you two are part of this sect, and I will not protect you from its rules. If you break any rules here, I will hand over the punishment to him. Do you both understand?”

”Yes, Demon God.” Ye Xuan and Ye Yuanzhi then spoke to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Please take care of us, Elder Zhang.”

”Go to the registration hall now, and Elder Xue Ling will arrange everything.” After Ye Xuan and Ye Yuanzhi left, Zhang Fei [5] turned to Nalan Shizhe. ”Are you going to send representatives of your demon race to this sect, mother-in-law?”

Nalan Shizhe felt awkward and strange hearing Zhang Fei [5] address her as such, especially since they didn’t have any relationship before today. However, Nalan Yushu was already his wife, so he was truly his son-in-law.

”I will join this sect, Mother.” Nalan Wangzi’s sudden decision not only surprised Zhang Fei [5] but also Nalan Shizhe and her other two children. ”In addition, send Nalan Yanxi and Nalan Wuhen here, and I will watch over them both myself.”

”You cannot join this sect.” Nalan Shizhe immediately rejected her first daughter. ”Have you forgotten your relationship with Mo Taizi? What do you think will happen if he can’t find you in our domain? He might not be bothered about your whereabouts, but Mo Shentian will definitely look for you. If he knows you’re in this sect, he will come here directly, and you will endanger everyone here.”

”But—”

”Since when did my big sis have a relationship with Mo Taizi?” Nalan Yuzhu hurriedly asked.

”Isn’t it because of you?” Nalan Yuzhu covered her mouth when Nalan Shizhe glared at her. ”You were supposed to marry Mo Taizi, remember? Since you died at the hands of Tian Qiye and she imprisoned your soul in the tower, Mo Shentian asked your big sister to replace you. If he knew you had returned and had reshaped your body, he would ask me to hand you over to him too. Therefore, you must hide your presence and don’t move around carelessly like before, or you will bring your husband and the others great trouble.”

Nalan Yushu nodded her head repeatedly to her mother, but Zhang Fei [5] suddenly moved to her side and hugged her waist. ”Yuzhu is my wife, and I will never hand over any of my women to another man. If Mo Shentian thinks he can snatch her from me, he and his Celestial Demon Race will become my enemies, and I will wipe them down to their roots.”

”You—”

”Hahaha.” Long Wuzhao suddenly laughed before speaking. ”You don’t need to doubt your son-in-law, Nalan Shizhe. He is indeed not Mo Shentian’s opponent now, but you should know that no one has ever been able to reach his level this quickly, including me. He cultivated for about two and a half decades, but he has already reached his current level. If that foolish demon hunts him, he only needs to hide for a few more decades, and I’m sure he’ll have reached his level by then. At that time, the Celestial Demon Race would no longer be able to match him, and they would be wiped out by his hands.”

Tianshi Shengjie immediately joined in. ”Demon God Nalan, you don’t understand Zhang Fei as well as I do. I’ve been watching him since he started his cultivation path in the Three Mortal Realms, and he’s the only cultivator from there who could ascend here in just three and a half years. I’ve witnessed all of his actions myself in the past, so I can say that his abilities, especially in real combat, are far better than you imagine.”

”Mother.” Nalan Shu grabbed her mother’s hand. ”I understand your worries, but you have to believe in my husband. He may be weak now, but he has me and his other wives, and we will continue to help him become stronger. Moreover, I have learned a lot from my mistakes since my death, and I will not act rashly like in the past, let alone endanger myself and others.”

Nalan Shizhe looked at Nalan Yushu and Zhang Fei [5] in turn before sighing. ”I don’t know anything about him yet, but since you all believe so much in his abilities, I will also believe in him.”

”What about me, Mother?” Nalan Wangzi pointed at her face.

”You—”

”Here.” Feng Yao threw a doll at Nalan Wangzi, which she immediately caught. ”Drip your blood and a little of your demon essence into the doll first, and you will know the results soon.”

Nalan Wangzi hurriedly followed the instructions, causing the doll to grow larger and transform into her, which shocked her and the others. Moreover, everything about the doll was completely identical to her, including her aura, cultivation, and everything else.

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] observed the doll. ”This doll is much better than Senior Brother Moxian’s humanoid doll that he used when he helped me get the Soul Flame.”

”Hehe.” Feng Yao chuckled. ”Naturally, you can’t compare our dolls, and mine is far superior to his. Don’t ask how I created it, as I wasn’t the creator, and I snatched it from someone else in the past.”

Zhang Fei [5] sighed in disappointment, and Nalan Wangzi asked Feng Yao. ”Should I move this doll myself, Empress Huo?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao nodded at her. ”Inject a strand of your consciousness and soul into the doll, and you can control it from afar.”

Nalan Wangzi followed Feng Yao’s instructions, and the doll instantly came to life. The doll moved, talked, posed, and did everything according to her instructions. ”Hehe! This way, I can join this sect without worrying about Mo Shentian finding me, Mother!”
