Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1186: Twin Moons Align

”Why do you insist on joining this sect?” Nalan Shizhe asked with a frown.

Nalan Wangzi pulled Nalan Yushu from Zhang Fei [5] and hugged her. ”I haven’t seen my sister for tens of thousands of years, so I miss her, and I want to spend time with her. Since she will stay in this sect, I decided to join it as well.”

’A liar!’ Nalan Yushu shouted in her heart while holding back laughter, as she knew her big sister’s character well despite not having seen her for a long time.

Nalan Huanzi thought the same as his little sister, yet he still helped Nalan Wangzi in persuading their mother. ”Mother, just let her join this sect. Moreover, Empress Huo has already given this doll to her, and I’m sure Mo Shentian will never know she’s in this sect as long as we don’t tell anyone.”

”Hmm?” Nalan Shizhe squinted her eyes at her son and first daughter while observing their expressions. ”Fine! You can join this sect! However, you must take responsibility if Mo Shentian finds out and looks for you in this sect.”

”Hahaha.” Nalan Wangzi laughed with a triumphant smile, irritating Nalan Shizhe. ”Ask them to send Nalan Yanxi and Nalan Wuhen here, mother. Moreover, the dungeon will open tonight, so they should head here now and prepare to enter.”

Nalan Shizhe and Ye Mingran immediately contacted the members of their two demon races, ordering their subordinates to bring some people with them.

Long Wuzhao also asked Long Xukong to pick up their clan members, especially those who wanted to explore the Endless Night Dungeon.

On the other hand, Zhang Fei [5] spoke to Feng Yao using telepathy, mainly about her purpose of helping Nalan Wangzi persuade her mother to allow her to join his sect.

Feng Yao simply smiled and said nothing to Zhang Fei [5], annoying him with her secrecy.

Sheng Yaohun and his group had already arrived at the central area of the domain, but they were completely furious because of Feng Yao and Huo Ling’s previous behavior, confusing the cultivators who had arrived there earlier.

”What do you think of them, Senior? Why is Empress Huo protecting the sect?” Gongsun Ye asked.

Sheng Yaohun turned toward the Moonlit Passion Sect. ”I have some guesses about that, but I doubt some. First, there’s something valuable in that sect, and Empress Huo discovered it first. Second, her action has something to do with the young man who appeared with her before, and he may be her direct descendant. However, I have never heard that she had a relationship with a man in the past, so I doubt that she has any descendants. Third, that young man may be her lover in this life, but it’s difficult for us to prove that. If we try to investigate them, her subordinates will attack us.”

”That’s for sure.” Gongsun Ye then conveyed his idea. ”Since their sect is in this domain, I’m sure they’ll enter the dungeon tonight. I think we can ask those people to help us investigate them, so Empress Huo won’t be suspicious of us.”

”They won’t appear before night, so we have to wait for them to appear first. However, we must be cautious, as Long Wuzhao, the beasts, and other demon gods may show up.” Sheng Yaohun then asked him. ”Have you still not found Qi Lai?”

”Not yet.” Gongsun Ye shook his head. ”Those people say that Qi Lai broke his oath by descending to the Three Mortal Realms to help the people there, and they are still hunting him.”

”Qi Lai is such an idiot! I can’t understand his reasons for doing that, especially since there’s nothing valuable there.” Sheng Yaohun released a soft sigh. ”It’s been almost six years since he disappeared, so I hope they will find him soon, and I will force them to hand him over to me.”

Gongsun Ye nodded at him. ”They won’t listen to my request, but they certainly won’t dare refuse you.”

”Yeah.”

Several hours passed quickly, and almost all the guests had left, except for a few humans, all the beasts, and all the demons.

After he discussed with Qing Qiu’er and the elders about the outcome of their plan, Zhang Fei [5] decided to meet Su Shentian and Jian Kuang first.

Jian Kuang was eager to spar with him in swordsmanship, but Zhang Fei [5] asked him to wait until they returned from the dungeon.

Zhang Fei [5] tried to persuade Jian Kuang to join his sect, but the sword maniac rejected him outright, especially since he preferred an unfettered life without ties to any party.

Zhang Fei [5] then persuaded Su Shentian to join him, but the speed demon did not agree or refuse, and he asked for time to consider it first. Despite this, the speed demon agreed to his request for him to stay in the Moonlit Passion Sect for some time.

After Su Shentian and Jian Kuang went to the central area, Zhang Fei [5] went to meet Jin Nanqing and his two disciples. They talked about alchemy for quite a while, and they decided to form a partnership in selling their alchemy products. This way, he could sell at the Divine Samsara Sect, and they would sell at the Moonlit Passion Sect, which would benefit both parties.

After they reached an agreement, Jin Nanqing and his two disciples hurriedly left to join the Divine Samsara Sect members who were waiting for them in the central area.

Since there were no longer any outsiders in the sect, Zhang Fei [5] asked the mythical beasts, natural races, and demons to gather in the main hall.

Even though Zhang Fei [5] had already told them about those people, their presence in their sect was enough to make the elders depressed, mainly because of their strength and status.

Unlike them, Qing Qiu’er remained relaxed, not feeling even the slightest pressure from their presence; instead, she was overjoyed. If it weren’t for Zhang Fei [5], she wouldn’t have been able to see the five different races gather in her sect without hostility, especially the winged races and the demon races.

However, Qing Qiu’er was shocked when Zhang Fei [5] told her about Nalan Yushu’s identity and Nalan Wangzi’s decision to join their sect, especially since both women were the daughters of the Soul-Devouring Demon God.

Nalan Shizhe had brought two young demons, Ye Xuan and Ye Yuanzhi, from her demon race to the sect.

As Zhang Fei [5] had previously expected, the core and special disciples greeted the demons with cold indifference for different reasons. After they persuaded them, he and Qing Qiu’er managed to convince those disciples to accept them, and they asked them to get used to the presence of the demons.

Time flew quickly, and night finally arrived. The central area was already filled with tens of thousands of cultivators from various races and domains.

Even though he wasn’t there, Zhang Fei [5] could easily check those people through his maps, and he found many familiar names there, including members of the Jiao Clan and the fairy race.

Long Wuzhao, Long Xukong, Tianshi Bailong, and Tianshi Shengjie immediately left the Moonlit Passion Sect, leading their members to the central area.

Ye Mingran, Ye Futian, and Nalan Shizhe also led the members of their two demon races to that area. Even though she had joined the Moonlit Passion Sect, Nalan Wangzi did not join them; instead, she and her brother followed their mother.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [5] asked the members of the Moonlit Passion Sect not to rush there, even though they were impatient.

As the night grew darker, all the cultivators could see that the two twin moons were starting to move toward alignment.

As soon as the two were fully aligned, they emitted a bright silver light, illuminating the center area of the domain and revealing the portal to enter the Endless Night Dungeon.

All the cultivators, who had been waiting in the area for a long time, immediately scrambled to enter the dungeon, especially those humans.

After the humans disappeared, the beast races began leading members of their respective races into the dungeon. However, Long Wuzhao and the other two dragons did not join them, and they asked Tianshi Shengjie and Long Youjia to lead them before leaving the domain.

Since the other demon gods did not appear, and they only sent members of their races, Ye Mingran and Nalan Shizhe also did not enter the dungeon.

They asked their four children to lead the members of their two races, but Ye Mingran asked Ye Futian to join them specifically to protect her two children. Thereafter, the two female demon gods immediately left the Twin Flame Domain and returned to their respective domains.

After they all disappeared, Zhang Fei [5] brought many of his sect members and close people to the central area, followed by Feng Yao, her parents, and her three subordinates. ”Will we arrive at one place or be sent to random places?”

”We’ll be sent to a random place, and we’ll meet inside.” Feng Yao enveloped her parents and subordinates with an artifact before leading them inside.

”Son, we’ll go in first, and we’ll meet inside later.” After he said that, Luo Fenghan immediately led his family and the cultivators from the Empyrean Domain in.

Zhang Fei [5] could only shake his head as they disappeared, and Qing Qiu’er asked him, ”Are we going in normally? Or are you going to use your secret place to bring us in?”
