Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1139: Auction Day

”They’re using disguises like Tian Shuixiang, but I can still recognize them.” Zhang Fei [5] then asked Mei to open the data about the three female demon gods. ”Qi Qingxiu is the Seven Emotion Demon God. Nalan Shizhe has the same surname as Nalan Yushu, so she should be the Soul-Devouring Demon God. I’ve never heard of Ye Mingran before, but I have Ye Zhiye here. I’ve also heard of Ye Fution, so I believe she’s the Eternal Night Demon God.”

”You’re right about the three of them, but you should be more wary of Qi Qingxiu than Nalan Shizhe and Ye Mingran.” Zhang Fei [5] looked at Feng Yao with a questioning look, especially since he knew that Nalan Yushu’s abilities were quite terrifying, let alone the Soul-Devouring Demon God. ”I’m not saying that the two of them aren’t powerful, but the Seven Emotion Demon God surpasses them, especially with her ability to control the emotions of living beings. Even though you have controlled your cursed demon heart, her abilities can still influence it, and you will turn into an evil demon if she uses them on you.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”I understand your concerns, but I am also aware of my weaknesses. Those three women clearly surpass everyone by my side, except for you and Huo Ling, so I wouldn’t be so crazy about meeting them.”

”Hehe.” Feng Yao giggled. ”They came to this domain obviously to investigate the death of their subordinates and attend the auction, so you will meet them in two days. Who do you think among the people closest to you has the ability to tame the Sky-Severing Sword?”

Zhang Fei [5] considered several names, but he was uncertain whether any of his wives could tame the Sky-Severing Sword. ”I think the one with the greatest chance to get the sword is my master, Han Ling.”

”Han Ling’s talent in swordsmanship is excellent, and he has reached the god-rank, so I think his chances are indeed the greatest among them.” Feng Yao then looked toward the distance, specifically the location of the main town. ”There are many other God-rank sword masters here, and their talents cannot be underestimated. All of them will be present at the auction, so the battle to obtain the Sky-Severing Sword will be intense. However, the strongest competitor is the sword maniac, Jian Kuang.”

”Oh? Who is Jian Kuang? Which sect did he come from?”

Feng Yao shook her head at him. ”Jian Kuang never joined any sect, and he managed to become the strongest sword master in this realm through his own hard work and struggle. He won’t be here before the auction, so you should wait two more days to meet him, and you’ll understand why people dubbed him a sword maniac by then.”

”Do you think I could ask him to spar with me?” Zhang Fei [5] asked with expectation in his eyes.

”Hahaha.” Feng Yao laughed and patted his shoulder. ”As the youngest sword master who managed to reach the god-rank and comprehended the sword dao, you don’t need to worry about that; I’m sure Jian Kuang will challenge you to a spar as soon as he sees you.”

Zhang Fei [5]’s expression turned excited and impatient after hearing that, especially since he only had a few sparring opponents in swordsmanship. ”Hey, spar with me and don’t hold back.”

”Prepare to be battered then.” After saying that, Feng Yao directly punched Zhang Fei [5]’s chest, sending him flying far back. She didn’t give him a chance to stabilize himself and attacked him again, causing him to grimace in pain. ”You asked me not to hold back, so don’t regret your decision.”

”Tch!” Zhang Fei [5] gritted his teeth and tried to attack Feng Yao, but her speed and strength simply surpassed him, and she effortlessly dodged his rapid attacks.

Not far from them, Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye sat side by side watching Feng Yao beat up Zhang Fei [5] without him being able to fight back even once. ”Did you hear their conversation earlier, husband? My demon god is in this domain now, and I’m afraid that she will recognize my identity when we meet her at the auction later. Moreover, she didn’t come alone; she came together with the Seven Emotions Demon God and the Soul-Devouring Demon God. I’m not too afraid of Nalan Shizhe, but Qi Qingxiu is a different story, and there’s no way we can face her. Therefore, I am thinking of asking Zhang Fei to send us out of this domain, and we will continue our seclusion.”

”I think the same as you,” Tian Shuixiang replied with a serious expression. ”The three of them are already troublesome, and we’ll face even greater trouble if my demon god finds out about our return.”

”So, do you agree with my idea?”

Tian Shuixiang nodded at her. ”Once Zhang Fei and Feng Yao finish their spar, we’ll go find him and ask him to send us out. If my demon god knows we have a relationship with him, he will definitely send his subordinates to attack him to capture us, so we have to stay away from him for now.”

A few hours later, they had stopped their spar because Zhang Fei [5]’s condition was too miserable. His clothes were in tatters due to Feng Yao’s previous attacks, leaving many bruises all over his body, especially his face.

”Hah... Hah...” Zhang Fei [5] lay on the ground breathing heavily. Although he was in considerable pain and couldn’t put up any resistance against Feng Yao during their spar, he was still satisfied with the result. ”Back then, Yunxiao beat me to a pulp when my cultivation was still at the Divine Expansion Realm, and you beat me this hard today.”

Feng Yao squatted at his side and supported her chin. ”Didn’t you ask for it yourself? No matter how strong you are, even after you evolve into the ten-tailed fox in the future, I will always be a few steps ahead of you. Therefore, you must forget your desire to get me as your wife, especially since it’s impossible to happen.”

Zhang Fei [5] turned to her and inquired. ”Is that so? Do I really have no chance of having you as my wife?”

”Yes and no.” Zhang Fei [5] furrowed his brows, but Feng Yao only smiled without giving him a definite answer. They then looked at Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye, who were walking toward them. ”You should send them out of this domain, especially since Ye Mingran will not fail to recognize members of her race. If she finds out they are close to you, you will face serious trouble with her demon race and the Asura Demon Race.”

”Feng Yao is right, Zhang Fei.” Tian Shuixiang spoke when he and Ye Zhiye arrived in front of them. ”The Eternal Night Demon has a special method to recognize their members, and Ye Mingran will recognize my wife’s identity even if she is in disguise. Honestly, I still want to be here and attend the auction, but we have no other choice but to leave, so please send us out of this domain.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding and opened a gate. ”You two will arrive at the Empyrean Main Domain like before.”

”Thank you and see you again in the future.” Tian Shuixiang and Ye Zhiye immediately disappeared through the gate.

After he closed the gate, Feng Yao helped Zhang Fei [5] up. ”Those three women should have heard about us from the people in the main town, and they might look for us soon. Therefore, you must be alert and send them to your training space immediately if they are really looking for us.”

”Alright.”

Another two days passed, but the situation in the past few days was not as Feng Yao had expected, especially since the three female demon gods did not seek them out. The Jiao Clan and the Fairy Race also did not move; instead, they waited for Zhang Fei [5] at the inn in the main town and never left their rooms.

Zhang Fei [5] repeatedly sparred with Feng Yao, even though the results remained the same as their first spar, leaving him in constant pain throughout the time. Despite this, he never forgot to complete the daily quests that appeared every day, assisted by the other four clones.

Zhang Fei [5]’s wives, family members, and acquaintances also never stopped fighting against the beasts in that area.

After they were ready and the sun was high enough in the sky, Huo Ling took them back to the main town, especially since the auction was about to start.

When they arrived, Xuanyuan Zhuanxu and several people from the other four clans were already waiting for them. They simply greeted Feng Yao and Huo Ling before leading them to the auction hall, where many cultivators had already gathered, including the three female demon gods.

Many curious, suspicious, and hateful gazes greeted them when they entered the building. Huo Ling immediately released her aura, deterring all of them, including the three female demon gods.

Feng Yao faintly smiled. ”Lead us.”
