When the four notifications appeared, Zhang Fei [5] immediately asked Qing Qiu’er and the other three women to stop. In that instant, the Yin-Yang diagram disappeared, and the Yin-Yang Lotus split into five more lotuses before returning to their respective souls.

After they returned their souls into their bodies, Zhang Fei [5] immediately spoke. ”Incredible! We dual-soul cultivated for a few hours, but the results are like a few days of doing it.”

”Hehe.” Qing Qiu’er chuckled. ”If you did it with them a long time ago, your soul level might have already surpassed the divine stage.”

Zhang Fei [5] looked at her. ”Who are the cultivators in this realm who have reached the Immortal Soul Level?”

”No one.” All of them turned to Feng Yao, who suddenly appeared. ”Do you think people won’t notice your actions even if you do them in a remote place like this? I previously detected your movements, so I came here and covered your aura from a distance.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed awkwardly. ”Thank you, wife.”

”Hey! My parents already consider you their son-in-law, but I’m not your wife yet.” Zhang Fei [5]’s lips curled upwards, but Feng Yao ignored him and spoke to Qing Qiu’er. ”You should give up on your plans to go to the Lotus Limbo World, especially since that place is different from what you think.”

Qing Qiu’er raised an eyebrow. ”Who exactly are you? How did you know about the Lotus Limbo World?”

”My past name was Huo Yanling.” Qing Qiu’er’s eyes widened in shock as soon as Feng Yao said that name. ”No one dares to claim to be one, so you don’t need to doubt my identity. The Forbidden Lotus Codex is indeed useful for cultivating your soul, but the Lotus Limbo World is a different case. The world is neither the world of the living nor the world of the dead, and the source of everything is stored there.”

”The Yin and Yang, right?”

”You’re not wrong about that.” Feng Yao replied with a nod. ”The Lotus Limbo World was created by one of the hidden forces in this universe as a prison, and the force created it to imprison the souls of cultivators who tried to defy the Wheel of Reincarnation.”

Qing Qiu’er seemed confused by that. ”What do you mean by one of the hidden forces in this universe? What kind of force created the Lotus Limbo World?”

”I can’t explain anything to you about those hidden forces, and you have to find them yourself to know the truth.” Feng Yao briefly glanced at Zhang Fei [5] before continuing. ”One of those hidden powers is the Will of the universe; it didn’t create the Lotus Limbo World but another one. I can’t tell you guys about that, especially since it would immediately attack me if I mentioned it.”

Unlike Qing Qiu’er, Zhang Fei [5], who had already encountered the Will of the Universe, immediately realized something. ”You can’t tell us about that force, but you can tell us the truth about the Lotus Limbo World, right?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao nodded at him. ”As I mentioned earlier, the Lotus Limbo World serves as a prison for the souls of cultivators who tried to defy the Wheel of Reincarnation. They thought that by doing so, they could achieve immortality, but true immortality never existed. All living beings can live extremely long lives by cultivating and reaching the highest possible level, which grants them an extremely long lifespan. Even so, their lifespans will still be exhausted, and they will die in the end.”

”A true immortality never existed.” Qing Qiu’er and the three women muttered to themselves as they looked at Feng Yao in shock.

Feng Yao continued straight away. ”The Lotus Limbo World is a stagnant pocket dimension, where the Yin-Yang Lotus controls everything. There is no land inside, and a boundless black lake stretches without boundaries. Countless souls wander above it, and they will devour the soul power of any living creature that enters it. Once you enter that place, you can never leave again, and you will eventually join them. The only living being that has ever managed to enter and exit the place safely is the ten-tailed fox, Hu Tianlang.”

”Oh? Did the old fox really enter that place in the past?” Zhang Fei [5] asked in surprise.

Qing Qiu’er looked at Zhang Fei [5] with a gaze full of questions, but he said nothing and waited for Feng Yao to answer him. ”Hu Tianlang was born from both Yin and Yang, unlike the Primordial Genesis Beast, which was born from Yang, or the Primordial Nihility Beast, which was born from Yin. Inside that place, he encountered his rival, a fiercely deadly woman who was also born from both Yin and Yang, and she lived inside the Yin-Yang Lotus. By the way, the woman is not a living creature like us, and she is the guardian of that place. Fortunately, he possessed the Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique, which granted him complete control over Yin and Yang, allowing him to safely exit that place. Even so, he never went there again after that, especially since that woman was as powerful as him.”

”Did you hear all of this from the old fox?”

”Do you think I would dare go in there without Yin-Yang abilities?” Feng Yao responded with a shake of her head. ”To tell you the truth, I caught once a glimpse of that place, which happened during my first reincarnation.”

”Wait!” Qing Qiu’er called out to them. ”Who exactly are you two? Your conversation is too complicated and confusing, and I feel that neither of you are ordinary living beings.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed at that. ”Feng Yao is not an ordinary living being, but I was born and grew up as an ordinary human in a mortal realm located in the Three Immortal Realms. As for my other identities, I got them because of an accident, but I don’t want to talk about that now.”

”Is that true? Are you really an ordinary human?” Qing Qiu’er asked with a doubtful look.

Luo Yunxiao answered her immediately. ”Zhang Fei and I were born on a planet called Earth, one of the planets in the lower realms of the Three Mortal Realms. He was born to two mortal parents, and we grew up together for several years, but we were separated when my parents brought me back to this realm. Therefore, you don’t need to doubt him.”

”I see.” Qing Qiu’er nodded in understanding before questioning Feng Yao, ”Then, who are you exactly? How do you know the ten-tailed fox? What do you mean by the Primordial Genesis Beast and the Primordial Nihility Beast? You previously mentioned your first reincarnation, but you also previously said that you are the reincarnation of Empress Huo Yanling.”

”My identity is far beyond your understanding, so I won’t tell you anything.” Qing Qiu’er wore an annoyed look, but Feng Yao determined not to say anything to her, leaving her to sigh softly. ”The Primordial Genesis Beast and the Primordial Nihility Beast were born during the Primordial Era, and both are extremely powerful. In fact, both are still alive today, but they are currently in hibernation because the universe can no longer accommodate their power.”

”Huh?” Qing Qiu’er’s expression turned to shock upon hearing that. ”Doesn’t that mean their existence could destroy this universe? How do you know about them?”

”Secret.” Feng Yao winked at her. ”Zhang Fei, I forbid you from going to the Lotus Limbo World before you evolve to the ten-tailed one. Even after you evolve to one, you should think twice about entering there because you are different from Hu Tianlang, and you don’t possess the Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique. Once you enter there, that woman will definitely attack and capture you, and you will never be able to return.”

”I—”

Qing Qiu’er interrupted directly. ”What does she mean by you evolving into ten tails? Do you have a connection with the ten-tailed fox?”

”I am the successor of the ten-tailed fox.” Qing Qiu’er’s eyes sparkled like stars as soon as Zhang Fei [5] transformed into his complete fox form, but he hurriedly returned to his human form, disappointing her. ’She also likes fluffy things, huh?’ ”By the way, it’s already midnight, so we should go back now, and we’ll talk again another time.”

”Let’s go back.” Feng Yao immediately took them all back to the inn.

When they arrived there, Zhang Fei [5] returned to his room, as did Feng Yao and the other three women. Meanwhile, Qing Qiu’er immediately went to see You Feiling, where they discussed some matters.

Early in the morning, Zhang Fei [5] and the others were already in the main hall of the Divine Samsara Sect, where hundreds of groups of cultivators gathered and listened to a male elder explain to them all the tests needed to enter the forbidden land, which consists of seven stages.

Although Zhang Fei [5] had decided to enter with the groups of Feng Bingying, Tian Huangjin, Tianshi Shengji, and Qing Qiu’er, they did not stand in the same line because that would only attract the attention of the other groups.
