Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1133: Massacre

All the evil beasts that were moving towards the main town immediately stopped in their spots as the giant shadow of the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu covered the entire area.

Even the evil mythical ones, such as the Dark Qilin, Three-Eyed Dark Dragon, Corpse Feather Roc, Shadow Hou Monarch, Blood Pixiu, One-Horned Dark Bai Ze, and others, feared the giant beast.

”Run! Save your lives now!” The Three-Eyed Dark Dragon shouted like a roar to all the beasts below, and it hurriedly flew away from the attack range of the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu.

Unfortunately, it was too late for those evil beasts to escape, especially since the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu immediately shot countless light rays from his mouth, raining down on all the beasts in the area.

Whether they were beasts with cultivation at the Celestial Lord Realm or those who had reached the Celestial Emperor Realm, they died instantly on the spot as soon as those light rays pierced their heads, flooding the ground beneath them with their blood.

Seeing all their subordinates die in one attack made the Dark Qilin and the other mythical evil beasts realize the power of the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu, and they fled away with their tails between their legs.

Unlike those beasts, the loud cheers of native cultivators from the Forbidden Land echoed from various areas, especially since the action of the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu greatly lightened their burden to face their enemies.

On the back of the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu, Zhang Fei [5] stared at the ground in a daze as he was shocked by the beast’s attack that wiped out all the evil beasts in one go. ’Crazy shit! This beast’s strength is simply too frightening!’

The Ancient Leiyu Tianlu looked at those evil mythical beasts with a look of disdain and mockery, but he immediately flew after them with his mouth wide open. He ate them alive and chewed them like candy.

The Ancient Leiyu Tianlu then looked at the demons who were fighting with the native cultivators from the Forbidden Land. Just like those evil beasts, he wiped out all the demons with one attack, making Zhang Fei [5] smile bitterly at his back.

Thereafter, the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu eliminated all the evil beasts in the other areas, filling the entire domain with the cheers of the natives.

’This big guy didn’t hold back and killed them in seconds.’ Zhang Fei [5] inwardly muttered his regret over the deaths of those evil beasts and demons. He wanted to absorb the beast and demon essences from the strongest beasts and demons, but the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu eliminated them without any remains.

After he confirmed that not a single enemy remained, the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu brought Zhang Fei [5] back to the main town, where everyone stared at the beast in awe, fear, and horror.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately jumped down and landed by the side of Feng Yao and the others, allowing the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu to shrink his body and perch on his shoulders again. ”This big guy is too scary!”

”Hahaha.” Feng Yao laughed at that. ”He is an ancient beast, and he could wipe out Taotie and the others easily, let alone their subordinates. This way, you should already be aware of the difference in strength between the cultivators in this realm and the ancients, right?”

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [5] replied with a nod. ”Did the other ancients never descend to this realm?”

Feng Yao shook her head at him. ”The only ancient clan that descended to this realm was the Puyang Clan, but they never left this domain. After the auction is over, they will go home directly, and they will come again a hundred years later.”

”What is the real reason behind their decision to sell those items directly and through auction in this domain, Big Sis Yao?” Long Yunxiao asked her.

”Talents.” Zhang Fei [5] and the others turned to Feng Yao in confusion. ”One of the fundamental factors of cultivators is talent, and they are tasked with searching for new talents from this Paradise Realm. Unfortunately, talent in this realm continues to decline every year, and those who are talented may not necessarily meet their criteria. If they do, the people from the Puyang Clan will take them to the ancient realm, depending on their age. If those people have matured as cultivators, they will take them there immediately, but they will leave them here for a few years if they are not yet mature.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”So, they are deliberately selling rare items to lure talents in this realm out, huh?”

”You could say it like that.” Feng Yao replied with a slight nod. ”As we all know, all sects and clans will always prioritize their best talents, and they will do anything to help them develop. The ancients think that if they sell rare items to this realm, those clans will bring their best talents to this domain to purchase the items directly or attend the auction.”

Zhang Fei [5] looked towards the town gate. ”I’ve been watching them for the past week, and there are indeed many good talents among them, but they haven’t shown their abilities directly.”

”You will see their abilities when the auction takes place in three days.” Zhang Fei [5] gave Feng Yao a questioning look. ”The auction is different from the other auctions, and you can see it for yourself in three days.”

”Don’t you think today’s incident will be a problem for our realm?” Luo Fenghan suddenly asked Feng Yao. ”This senior beast slaughtered hundreds of thousands of evil beasts and demons in one day. I’m sure their leaders won’t remain silent about this matter, and they might even come out in person to seek revenge.”

Feng Yao shook her head at him. ”Their leaders must already know the mastermind behind their subordinates’ deaths, so I believe they won’t mess around in this realm. They might come here in person, but they won’t be able to harm these natives, and they will be the ones to die if they dare to come here for revenge.”

”Are you saying that the ancestor of the Xuanyuan Clan will act against them?”

”Yes.” Feng Yao nodded at Zhang Fei [5]. ”The ancestor of the Xuanyuan Clan is truly powerful, and his strength surpasses even Long Wuzhao. If a great danger threatens this domain, he will wake up from his slumber to eliminate it, and he will enter a long slumber again afterwards.”

”Why would he do that?”

Feng Yao released a soft sigh. ”The ancients are different from other cultivators in this realm, and they need a long time to recover their strength during their stay here. Therefore, he chose to enter a long sleep, or else he would weaken too quickly. The reason they couldn’t go to the ancient realm was because their true strength was sealed after Huo Ling left with me, especially since she was the lifeblood of this domain and natives, so she had to reactivate the altar to unlock the seal on their power. If she did that, she wouldn’t be able to leave the altar again, unless I take her away again.”

”What was your reason for taking her away with you in the past?” Zhang Fei [5] curiously asked.

Feng Yao smiled at him. ”Surpass me first, and I will tell you everything you want to know then.”

”Cheapskate!” Luo Yunxiao and the others laughed seeing Zhang Fei [5] making an annoyed face because of Feng Yao.

When night fell, all the natives of the Forbidden Land had taken their turn to meet and purchase items from Puyang Shangren, which made them overjoyed.

Xuanyuan Zhuanxu immediately approached them. ”Empress Huo, it’s your turn to meet Senior Puyang. Once you’re all done, I’ll let the people outside come in and meet him.”

”Alright.” Feng Yao immediately pulled Zhang Fei [5] with her.

Huo Ling wanted to follow them, but Xuanyuan Zhuanxu stopped him. ”Senior Eternal Flame, please wait.”

”Hmm?” Huo Ling furrowed her brows. ”What do you want from me?”

Xuanyuan Zhuanxu dropped to his knees and prostrated himself before Huo Ling. ”Senior, you’ve been missing for several million years, and we’ve suffered for so long because of your disappearance. Since you’ve returned to this domain, I humbly beg you to reactivate the altar and unseal our true strength. This way, we don’t have to suffer anymore, and we can go to the Ancient Realm.”

”I refused.” Xuanyuan Zhuanxu looked up at Huo Ling. ”I still have an important task, and it is far more important than your suffering. If I reactivate the altar now, I will not be able to leave this domain again, and I will not be able to carry it out.”

Xuanyuan Zhuanxu then asked. ”Could you explain your task to me? We have been your loyal followers since the time of our ancestors, and we are willing to help you complete your task.”

”No one in this universe can help me to complete my task, so you don’t need to beg me anymore and wait for me to complete it. After everything is finished, I will reactivate the altar, and all of you can go to the ancient realm after that.” After saying this, Huo Ling immediately left Xuanyuan Zhuanxu and followed Feng Yao and Zhang Fei [5] inside the townhall.

Xuanyuan Zhuanxu released a heavy sigh, rose to his feet, and stared at the townhall. ’What exactly is her task? Why does she choose it over our suffering?’
