Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1108: Old Friends

Feng Bingying eventually gave up on bringing Feng Xueying and Feng Jinqiu with her. She immediately left them, but the phoenix princess asked her to join their group when they entered the Forbidden Land in three days, to which she agreed.

”Would you two like to go and check out that place?” Both phoenixes nodded to Zhang Fei [5], who immediately spoke to Feng Yao. ”Help them register.”

”Alright.” Feng Yao contacted Yu Shan and asked him to register Feng Xueying and Feng Jinqiu as test participants. ”Don’t you want to bring the others with you?”

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head. ”I need to help all my women who haven’t reached the Five Celestial Realms, so I still need their help to supply me with their Yin Qi. My master and the others left the training space a long time ago, and they recently joined some sects in the Empyrean Main Domain, so I didn’t bring them here. Why did you deliberately reveal your past identity to some people?”

”Haha.” Feng Yao softly laughed. ”My people have been inactive since my death, and I think it’s time for them to return to the surface. However, they won’t move without a leader, and they are always waiting for me to lead them again. I deliberately revealed my identity to several people, especially since I believed they would hear about my return.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”Let’s go back to the inn; I still have many questions for you.”

A while later, Zhang Fei [5] and Feng Yao were alone in the room, and he showed her the two map fragments of the Temple of Forgotten Flame. ”Do you know anything about this map? At first, I guessed these two fragments were part of a map to the temple, but Yu Shan previously said that people from this sect had already explored the place before, which means my guess was wrong.”

”The Temple of Forgotten Flame is Huo Ling’s home, and it has never been hidden.” Feng Yao seriously examined the two map fragments. ”We are familiar with the temple’s interior, and we’ve never found anything hidden inside. However, these map fragments couldn’t exist without a reason, and there might be something we missed. Where did you get these two?”

”I found one by accident, and Murong Mengying got the second in the Sun Tower. I’ve tried searching for the remaining four, but I haven’t managed to find any of them in the Three Mortal Realms, and I think they’re hidden in one of the domains in this realm.” Feng Yao raised an eyebrow slightly before returning both items to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Can you please help me find someone?”

”Tian Kongquan’s reincarnation, right?’

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”Since you know everything that happened around me, you should already know that I encountered Tian Kongquan’s soul remnant. His words back then made me believe that he had long been reincarnated, so I wanted to look for him, mainly because of his past abilities.”

”You’re wrong if you want to look for Tian Kongquan because of his past abilities, especially since he’s different from me. Even though he saw his future at the expense of his lifespan, he couldn’t bring his past abilities with him when he was reincarnated. He should have been reincarnated by now, but he wouldn’t be the same as the past him.” Feng Yao immediately took out a communication device. ”Even so, I will help you find his reincarnation, but I need the help of an old friend.”

”An old friend?”

Feng Yao nodded at him and contacted the person she had mentioned before. ”His abilities are almost similar to Tang Ying’s eye abilities, but his abilities are superior, and he can search for anyone wherever they are, even if they are in a distant domain.”

”How long will it take for your friend to find his reincarnation?”

”I can’t say for sure because the population in this realm is much larger than the total population in the Three Mortal Realms, so we can only wait for him to contact me.” Feng Yao looked out the window and informed him. ”Your two old friends have just arrived, but they have already entered the Forbidden Land before, so they no longer need to undergo those tests. The Fairy King seems to have heard the news of your presence in this realm, and he sent several members of the fairy race here.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately opened the map, where he found the names Tian Huangjin and Tianshi Shengjie. They didn’t come alone, but they led several people from both their races. He then activated his Nature Awareness ability to search for members of the fairy race, and he found ten of them. ”Ten fairies, with the weakest among them being at the 1-Sun Celestial King Realm and the strongest at the 1-Sun Celestial Venerable Realm.”

”Are you going to hide from them?”

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] canceled his ability and closed the map. ”I have decided not to act as I did in the past, and I will face those who deliberately come to find trouble with me. If they come with malicious intentions, I will fight them, and vice versa.”

Feng Yao smiled to herself after hearing that, and she told Zhang Fei [5] the identities of the people who had just arrived at the Divine Samsara Sect, most of whom were those they should be wary of, especially since they would become their competitors in the Forbidden Land later.

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed and immediately opened the door for their guests. ”Long time no see, Huangjin and Shengjie.”

Tian Huangjin and Tianshi Shengjie did not immediately respond to Zhang Fei [5]; instead, they exchanged confused glances, especially after they detected the change in his bone age and cultivation.

”Why are you two so shocked?” Zhang Fei’s question brought the two women back to their senses, and he led them in. ”Is my change that surprising to you two?”

”Who wouldn’t be shocked by the change in your bone age?” Tianshi Shengjie asked back, shaking her head.

Tian Huangjin then asked. ”How could you have aged so quickly? The last time we met, you were in your early twenties, but you’ve aged to your early forties now. Moreover, your cultivation skyrocketed from the Divine Expansion Realm to the Celestial Lord Realm in just five years.”

”Only my family knows about my secret, so I won’t tell you anything, even though we are old friends.” The two women’s lips twitched in response to Zhang Fei [5]’s answer, which made them even more curious about his change. ”Why did you two lead so many people here?”

Tianshi Shengjie pulled Tian Huangjin to sit in front of him and Feng Yao. ”Have you two heard about the strange events in the Forbidden Land?”

”Elder Yu Shan has already told me about it.” Zhang Fei responded by nodding.

Tianshi Shengjie immediately continued. ”Zhan Kuang and several others disappeared there, and they also detected the movement of several demon races there. Liang Huizhong contacted our leaders and asked them to send help, so our leaders sent the two of us here to investigate this matter.”

”Why didn’t Long Wuzhao send someone else?” Tianshi Shengjie responded to Zhang Fei [5] with her forehead muscles bulging out, making him laugh. ”Your Emperor has conveyed my request to you, huh? What is your answer to that?”

Tianshi Shengjie chose not to answer his question. ”What about your Cursed Demon Heart?”

”Does your heart continue to influence you?” Tian Huangjin also asked.

Zhang Fei [5] touched his heart and released a bit of the baleful aura from it, shocking both women. ”About four and a half years ago, I met a mysterious male fox, and I almost died in his hands. That event caused my Cursed Demon Heart to fully awaken, and I almost fell under its control. Fortunately, my grandmother came to my rescue, and she freed me from its control. I had eliminated the remaining soul of this heart’s old owner, and this heart has been in my complete control since then.”

”Who is the mysterious male fox? Why does he want to kill you?” Both women asked with serious expressions.

Zhang Fei [5] chose not to reveal it to them. ”He came to save Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing from me, but I was too arrogant to realize the difference in our strength. He attacked me after I attacked him first, and I was completely helpless in the fight with him, leaving me severely injured and almost dead. If not for the help of several of my wives, I might be dead now.”

”Is she one of your wives?” Tian Huangjin asked, glancing at Feng Yao.

”She’s Feng Yao, and she helped Zhang Fei a lot when they lived in the Sky Jade Realm.” Tianshi Shengjie then asked them. ”How about we go together in three days?”

”Sure.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately agreed.

After they discussed some matters, the three women left the room, and Zhang Fei [5] sat by the window, monitoring the constant arrival of people at the Divine Samsara Sect.

However, Zhang Fei [5] did not think much of them, and he was more looking forward to Qing Qiu’er coming to him, especially since he was still curious about her goal in giving the Forbidden Lotus Codex to him. He thought about meeting the people from the Moonlit Passion Temple, but he immediately decided against it. ”Let’s wait for her.”
