Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1113: True Yin-Yang Lotus

”You guys can talk, and I’ll take care of your preparations.” Luo Fenghan hurriedly left the room.

Zhang Fei [5] then introduced the two sword spirits to Qing Qiu’er. ”The black one is Jian Hei’an, and the white one is Jian Guang’an. Both of them are twin daughters, and their family was killed by Xereth. Before their father died, he forged this sword and used their souls as its spirits.”

”I see.” Qing Qiu’er nodded in understanding. ”Twin sword spirits will usually be detrimental to the sword, especially since its power will be halved. However, these two girls seem different, and the bond between them is profound. Moreover, you used the Lotus Soul Pact with them and tied their souls with yours, so I think it’s not a problem.”

”They have assisted me all these years, and their strength has grown significantly in the past twenty years.” Zhang Fei [5] then sent the two sword spirits back into the sword and stored it in his body again. ”Why did you choose me? Back then, I was still too weak, and you didn’t know anything about me, but you decided to give the codex to me.”

Qing Qiu’er smiled in response and pressed her index finger to his chest. ”Are you still unaware of my purpose? The Lotus Limbo World, where yin and yang intertwine beneath lotus petals. Two souls unite and awaken as one, remember? It’s true that you were still weak back then, and I didn’t know much about you either. However, I was an expert soul cultivator, and I could sense that you were different from other men. Therefore, I chose you and gave you that technique, and I wanted to enter that place with you.”

”After decades of being a cultivator, I’ve seen so much, so I won’t believe that your goal is that simple.” Qing Qiu’er didn’t say anything in response to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Moreover, we need unwavering hearts and absolute trust toward each other to enter that place, right? We just met today, and we don’t have either of those things between us, so we wouldn’t be able to do it even if we wanted to.”

”That’s true.” Qing Qiu’er gave a nod of agreement. ”By the way, you don’t seem to know the correct way to utilize the black and white lotuses within our souls, so I’ll show you the proper method to do it. However, we can’t do it here because it will attract a lot of attention, so we have to do it somewhere completely secluded, and we’ll be bringing your three wives with us.”

Zhang Fei [5] unhesitatingly enveloped the four women with his aura and then led them out of his room before departing from the Divine Samsara Sect.

Sometime later, they had arrived in a forest that was quite far from the sect or other cities, leaving Qing Qiu’er staring at Zhang Fei [5] in a daze. ”What is the proper way to use the black and white lotuses within our souls?”

”Sit down first and release your souls, and I will guide you guys to do it.” Zhang Fei [5] and the three women immediately followed Qing Qiu’er’s directions. ”First, release the lotuses from your souls. Second, bring them closer to each other. Third, merge them into one and form the true Yin-Yang lotus.”

”The True Yin-Yang Lotus?” They looked at Qing Qiu’er in confusion.

Qing Qiu’er nodded at them. ”The basis of the Forbidden Lotus Codex is Yin and Yang, remember? The white and black lotuses are fragments of the true Yin-Yang Lotus, and to make them more effective is to merge them into one, like the one I discovered in that place. I find it difficult to explain the effect, so I suggest that you all try it yourselves; then, you will understand its extraordinary benefits.”

”How do we get our lotuses out of our souls?” Luo Yunxiao asked in confusion.

Qing Qiu’er sat in front of them and demonstrated by releasing the black lotus from her soul. ”Use your mind and soul to move the lotus out.”

”Alright.” Zhang Fei [5] and the three women immediately attempted to move the lotus, and they found it easy to do so. Four black lotuses and one pure, big, white lotus float in front of them.

”Eh? Why do you only have one lotus left, husband?” Luo Yunxiao asked.

Yan Jinwu also spoke to him. ”Moreover, the size of your lotus has become much bigger than ours.”

”Not only has the lotus become bigger, but I can feel the purity from it.” Sima Huiqing looked at the white lotus.

Zhang Fei [5] pointed at Qing Qiu’er. ”She merged all my white lotuses into one, and it became much stronger and purer. So, what should we do now?”

”Don’t do it all at once the first time.” Qing Qiu’er grabbed Zhang Fei [5]’s hands and pushed her black lotus onto his white lotus. ”Let’s try merging your lotus with mine first, but you have to accept my presence, or your lotus will reject mine. Once we succeed, you can merge it with theirs.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded and pushed his white lotus to Qing Qiu’er’s black lotus, but both of them were like magnets repelling each other.

”Don’t rush and accept my presence first.”

Zhang Fei immediately calmed his mind and set aside his suspicions toward Qing Qiu’er. After he succeeded in doing so, his white lotus no longer rejected her black lotus, and the two slowly merged into one.

In a few minutes, the two lotuses had merged into one large black and white lotus. A huge Yin-Yang diagram immediately appeared above them, followed by the appearance of a white aura that enveloped Zhang Fei [5]’s body and a black aura that enveloped Qing Qiu’er’s body.

”These feelings.” Zhang Fei [5] muttered under his breath, trying to understand the peculiar sensation that surfaced in his heart, linked to Qing Qiu’er’s presence. ”Even though Yin and Yang are different, like day and night, they are fundamentally one, especially since both are the foundations of all things, including our cultivation.”

Qing Qiu’er nodded at him. ”Yang cannot exist alone without Yin, and vice versa. Yin and Yang must be balanced so that everything runs in order. If one dominates the other, it will shake and ultimately destroy the balance. When we achieve balance in both, we will be able to absorb Yin and Yang from various sources to accelerate our self-improvement. Now try to merge your white lotus with their three black lotuses, and we will begin our true dual-soul cultivation.”

”Yes.”

With the bond that had developed between them over the past two decades, Zhang Fei [5] and the three women had no difficulty in merging their lotuses together.

The Yin-Yang diagram above them became brighter and wider, with a white aura covering Zhang Fei [5]’s body and four black auras covering the bodies of the four women. They arranged positions with him in the middle and the four women surrounding him, and they immediately closed their eyes, channeling their Qi and soul power.

Zhang Fei [5]’s soul became like a bridge, allowing their soul power and Qi to continuously circulate between their five souls. Inside the pavilion, Zhang Fei, his other four clones, and their respective wives also did the same.

Since Zhang Fei and his five clones share a single soul, Qing Qiu’er could sense the flow of Qi and soul power from the many women within Zhang Fei [5]’s soul. She said nothing and focused on cultivating their souls, but a faint smile appeared on her alluring face.

In one of the rooms in the luxurious inn, Jiao Moli and Jiao Meili were sitting in front of an old man and an old woman. They told them about what they had heard in the alchemy shop, especially about Zhang Fei’s status as a god-rank alchemist.

”Are you two sure you heard correctly? How could a young man in his early forties possibly reach god rank?” the old woman asked doubtfully.

Jiao Meili answered her. ”Elder Suyin, we heard the conversation between Senior Luo Lianjin and Senior Xuan Yun ourselves, so we wouldn’t be mistaken about it.”

”Elders, that kid is truly a god-rank alchemist.” Jiao Huanfeng and Jiao Suyin were still doubtful about Jiao Moli and Jiao Meili’s explanation. ”Senior Luo Lianjin gave that kid a test to concoct pills using random ingredients, and he managed to achieve it after concocting five superior-grade Phoenix Restoration Pills in one furnace. We don’t know his name, but we think we’ll meet him at the entrance test tomorrow morning.”

”What do you think about that kid, Huafeng?”

Jiao Huafeng shook his head. ”I can’t say anything until I meet that kid, and since they don’t know anything about his identity, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Thereafter, I’ll inform our patriarch about him, and he’ll send others to investigate his background.”

”Yeah.” Jiao Suyin then stood up. ”I will meet Luo Lianjin, and I hope he is willing to share information about that kid with me.”

After Jiao Suyin left, Jiao Moli and Jiao Meili immediately left the room, leaving Jiao Huafeng behind.

”Who exactly is that kid? Who is his master?” Jiao Huafeng then took out a communication device to contact someone, and he informed that person about Zhang Fei [5]. A while later, he received an answer that made his expression turn strangely happy. ”Hahaha! I will gain a lot if that person succeeds in capturing that kid.”
