Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 900: Seeking For Beasts IV

”Wow! I like the Qi in this place!” Yan Yunzhi exclaimed as she absorbed the qi. ”Even the qi in our Wangguo Realm is not as dense and pure as this!”

”Thatʼs true.” Yan Chengxin then looked at the beasts that were present. ”A dragon serpent, a hippocampus, a frost lynx, a wind weasel, a thunderbird, a golden monkey, a flame-spirit deer, a phantom eclipse rabbit, a dream mirage butterfly, a windpiercer crane, a firemane lion, an azure feather falcon, a spirit snake turtle, two python-tailed tigresses, and two sea serpents.”

”Judging from their cultivation levels, they should be Zhang Fei [5]ʼs beast contracts.” The four women nodded in agreement with Yan Jinwu. ”The soul-devouring beast is the Nameless Oneʼs contract beast, and the flameheart rabbit should be Lin Jingxiaʼs contract beast.”

”How did Zhang Fei [5] get to know the two of them, Matriarch Jinwu?” Yan Mei asked.

Yan Mengyi gestured toward Feng Yichen. ”What female beast is that?”

”That kid is quite popular in the Xianjin Realm, and he has helped many seniors there. Therefore, you guys should not underestimate him, and establishing a positive relationship with him will be more beneficial for you all.” Yan Jinwu then looked at Feng Yichen. ”If I recall correctly, she is the Dark Phoenix that appeared hundreds of thousands of years ago, and she is the only one of her kin. I donʼt know how she managed to subdue her, but Iʼm sure Iʼm not mistaken.”

”The Dark Phoenix?”

Yan Jinwu explained to the four women about the appearance of Feng Yichen in the past, which shocked them. ”All right, you guys donʼt need to think about them and start cultivating, especially since this universe is facing serious danger. Zhang Fei [5] didnʼt bring us here for a holiday, and he needs our help to stop the danger.”

Yan Chengxin, Yan Yunzhi, Yan Mei, and Yan Mengyi eagerly searched for an empty place to cultivate. Meanwhile, Yan Jinwu joined Feng Shanxi, deeply engrossed in her cultivation.

Zhang Fei [5] borrowed Feng Yichenʼs strength as he casually walked into the Nian Beast Clan, forcing everyone in the clan to stay away from him.

Once Zhang Fei [5] arrived at the main hall, Nu Qichen and several elders from the Nian Beast Clan were already waiting for him, but some of them felt quite pressured by his aura.

”What is the need for you to suddenly come here and show off your strength?” Nu Qichen calmly asked.

”Please forgive me if I do this, but I would rather not be bothered by your younger generation, like what I experienced in the Golden Crow Clan before.” Zhang Fei [5] then sat down in an empty chair and explained the reason for his arrival to Nu Qichen and the others. ”You may think Iʼm biased because I only want female beasts, but I donʼt know the men of this clan. The majority of those who live there are my women, and Iʼve never liked having strangers living around them.”

ʼSuch a possessive kid!ʼ

Nu Qichen nodded in understanding. ”Iʼve heard about the situation in the Xianjin Realm and Xereth, so I have no problem with your wishes. Since the situation is urgent, I will call some of them now, and you can bring them with you later.”

”Thank you, Senior.” Zhang Fei [5] then asked her. ”What about you, Senior? Do you want to join us? Currently, Feng Qingmeng, Zhu Lingyao, Huli Haohao, and Yan Jinwu have already joined me.”

The first three names did not surprise Nu Qichen, especially since she could see from the start that Zhang Fei [5] was interested in them. However, Yan Jiwuʼs decision surprised her a little, and she thought about his offer straight away. ”Nu Wang, I plan to go into seclusion with them, and I trust you to lead our branch clan during my absence. To avoid trouble, I will activate the barrier in our residence, and you can coordinate our members to start their seclusion.”

”Yes, Matriarch.” Nu Wang answered with a nod.

Before long, three young women walked into the main hall, and Zhang Fei [5] checked their statuses immediately. They were Nu Shuangyan, Nu Chuqing, and Nu Suyao. He then sent the three women together with Nu Qichen into the beast space, but he did not give them the six beast pills, like Yan Chengxin and the others.

A while later, Zhang Fei [5] had arrived at the Kunpeng Clan and spoke with Yuwen Xingzuan about his plans. ”Those people are too concerned with their egos, and their weaknesses cause them to be too paranoid about you.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed. ”Thereʼs nothing we can do about that, right, senior? Everyone has their character and mindset, though not all of them are good. Honestly, I want to take care of them as soon as possible, but unfortunately, we still have to deal with Xereth. Thus, Iʼve decided to avoid them for now, and Iʼll focus on building up my strength. Once our business with that demon is over, Iʼll settle my problems with them.”

Yuwen Xingzuan nodded in agreement with that. ”Does that mean you will attack all of them in the future?”

”I havenʼt decided on that yet.” Zhang Fei [5] replied with a shake of his head. ”Senior, please summon your clanʼs best young women, and I will send them there directly.”

”All right.” Yuwen Xingzuan immediately contacted several people, asking them to meet him in the main hall.

In a few minutes, three women walked into the main hall. They were such beauties, but Zhang Fei [5] was more curious about the young woman leading them. ʼHaoʼer is right; Yuwen Xingyuan is truly charming and talented.ʼ

Yuwen Xingyuanʼs character is quite striking with a delicate yet confident aura. Her face is beautifully symmetrical with soft, white skin, large expressive eyes, and gently arched brows. She has long, flowing black hair that cascades down her back, adding to her natural beauty.

Yuwen Xingyuanʼs figure is graceful and slender, yet subtly athletic, giving her an air of strength beneath elegance. She wears a form-fitting, intricately designed pink dress that accentuates her curves, particularly her narrow waist and long legs. Her chest is modestly full, enhancing her feminine silhouette without being overly exaggerated.

Yuwen Xingyuan looked at Zhang Fei [5] after noticing his gaze, but her heartbeat sped up, especially after he used his enhanced demon charm on her, strengthening his overly high charm.

Zhang Fei [5] also looked at Yuwen Xingyuan with a relaxed smile on his face, making her heart flutter even more. She quickly averted her gaze, rushed to Yuwen Xingzuanʼs side, and asked him a question. ”Why did you call us here, grandfather?”

ʼThis kidʼs charm seems to have captivated my granddaughter.ʼ Yuwen Xingzuan then explained to Yuwen Xingyuan and the two women about Zhang Fei [5], including his reasons for coming to their clan.

Yuwen Xingyuan seemed hesitant to decide, especially as her heart kept pounding every time she looked at Zhang Fei [5]. ”Grandpa, I—”

”Xingyuan, I know you donʼt like to socialize with many people, but the situation is really dire. The Nameless One and the others are also in isolation right now, especially since Xereth is simply too strong.” Yuwen Xingyuan simply nodded to Yuwen Xingzuan, who immediately spoke to the other two women. ”Ruonan and Xiaodie, you two should also get ready now so this kid doesnʼt wait too long.”

”Yes, Patriarch.” Yuwen Xingyuan and the two women left directly again.

Yuwen Xingzuan then asked Zhang Fei [5]. ”Are you interested in my granddaughter, kid?”

”Senior, you have such a beautiful granddaughter, and all men will be interested in her, right? I am a normal man and a lover of women, so I would be a hypocrite if I said that I am not interested in her.” Zhang Fei [5] shamelessly admitted it.

”Hahaha!” Yuwen Xingzuan laughed proudly. ”Xingyuan is the most beautiful among my granddaughters, and countless men have tried to take her hand, but she rejected them all. Her personality is too gentle and introverted, and she spends most of her time in her cultivation cave.”

Zhang Fei [5] smiled and asked. ”Do you mind if I try to take your granddaughterʼs hand, Senior?”

”You can try it.” Yuwen Xingzuan agreed because he had heard too many things about Zhang Fei [5], and he himself had already swallowed his pills; thus, he did not want to miss the opportunity to build a closer relationship with him, even if he had to use his granddaughter for that.

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at him. ”I will definitely win your granddaughterʼs heart, and I will make her life happier and more colorful.”

”So, which clan is your next destination?”

”The Qilin Clan.” Yuwen Xingzuan nodded in understanding to Zhang Fei [5]. ”The Qilin beasts have immense potential, and they can surpass even the Dragon Clan, so I must recruit them to my side.”

Yuwen Xingzuan nodded again. ”Unfortunately, not all Qilin beasts can do that, and few of them can surpass those dragons. Among their branch clan members, only Lei Huoting has a high chance of surpassing them. Her character is more or less similar to my granddaughterʼs, but sheʼs tougher, so you might have a challenging time persuading her.”

”We wonʼt know the result until I try talking to her, right?”

”I hope you succeed, kid.”

Not long after, Yuwen Xingyuan, Yuwen Rounan, and Yuwen Xiaodie had returned to the main hall. After he sent them into the beast space and said goodbye to Yuwen Xingzuan, Zhang Fei [5] immediately left the Kunpeng Clan.

A while later, Zhang Fei [5] arrived at the Qilin Clan, but their members were not as numerous as the other mythical beast clans, and he barely saw people there because they were busy with their cultivation.

Zhang Fei [5] suddenly received a voice transmission from Lei Qilin; he immediately followed his request to go to the very back area of the Qin Clan.

When he arrived there, Zhang Fei [5] saw Lei Qilin chatting with a middle-aged man and a middle-aged woman. ”They are my daughter and son-in-law, Lei Huolin and Yan Feng. As you guessed, my son-in-law is a member of the Golden Crow Clan.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5] was surprised to hear that. Since they were Lei Huotingʼs parents, that meant she was the mixed offspring of a Qilin and a Golden Crow.

Lei Qilin pointed to the cave in front of them. ”My granddaughter, Lei Huoting, is cultivating in there. She is the only hybrid of Qilin and Golden Crow in this universe, and she is the connecting bridge for the two clans.”

”Unfortunately, her special qualities aroused the jealousy of some mythical beast races, and they wanted to possess her.” Zhang Fei [5] looked at Lei Huolin, who immediately explained. ”Long Qiang, Dai Hubai, and Wang Wugui have sent some people to get my daughter, but we will never hand her over to them.”

”Why would they want to do that? Is there something special about the mixed bloodline of a Qilin and a Golden Crow?” Zhang Fei asked in confusion.

”Have you ever heard of the story of the Sacred Sun Flame?” Zhang Fei [5] shook his head at Yan Feng. ”The Vermilion Flame is quite gentle and has a purifying effect, and the Phoenix Flame contains the element of rebirth. Meanwhile, our golden crow flame represents the sun, pure Yang flame, and destruction. According to past legends, our flame could destroy an area as large as the Xianjin Realm, yet our race continued to decline due to changes in the universe. However, my daughterʼs birth was different, and she had the opportunity to perfect her golden crow flame.”

Zhang Fei [5] raised his eyebrows after hearing that, and he was sure that he had something to do with the first Golden Crow.

Yan Feng then continued. ”Qilin beasts have many versions, including the Fire Qilin. The flame of a Qilin is similar to the Phoenix Flame, and we call it the Divine Life Flame. The effects are not only useful for the user; they will also affect the people around them. What do you think will happen if the two flames are combined?”

”Lei Huoting has both flames, huh?” They nodded at Zhang Fei [5]. ”One is a flame that burns, heals, and purifies. The other one is a fire that represents the sun and brings destruction. They fear that she will destroy them, but they also need her to be their support.”

”They are afraid of my daughterʼs golden crow flame, but they also want to get her Qilin flame.” Yan Feng replied with a soft sigh. ”Unfortunately, perfecting her flame is too difficult, and I have no other solution to help her. Although her fire elemental law has reached the perfection stage, her flame is still not perfect.”

Zhang Fei [5] first discussed with the spirit of the Earth Flame, Huo Diqiu. ”Can I meet your daughter?”

Yan Feng turned to Lei Huolin, who nodded in agreement. ”You can meet my daughter, but she might not like your presence since she doesnʼt know you. Therefore, you have to be careful, or she will attack you.”

”You donʼt need to worry about that because I am a fire cultivator, and my flame is quite unique.” After Yan Feng forced open the stone door in front of the cave, Zhang Fei [5] immediately entered it.

When he arrived inside, Zhang Fei [5] saw Lei Huoting focused on her cultivation, and she still seemed to have not noticed his presence.

Lei Huotingʼs face is alluring, with a smooth, fair complexion, sharp golden-red eyebrows, and full red lips that reflect confidence. Her long hair is a rich red infused with golden highlights, cascading dramatically around her shoulders and down her back, styled with golden ornaments.

Lei Huotingʼs figure was tall and firm, with a curvaceous body and a strong posture. Her chest was prominent, illustrated by the golden armor design on her red and gold dress, which hugged her body. Soft fabric tailored her dress, adorned with ornate golden patterns that rippled like flames and split at her feet. Her aura was calm yet blazing hot, surrounded by a faint golden-red aura.

ʼOne of the peerless beauties I have ever met, and her beauty is in no way inferior to Feng Yaoʼs.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] muttered to himself as he stared at Lei Huotingʼs face, which was filled with calm but also seriousness.

Lei Huotingʼs eyelashes trembled as she finally noticed Zhang Fei [5]ʼs presence, and she slowly opened her eyes, revealing her beautiful eyes. Her right pupil is gold, and her left pupil is deep red.

”What a beautiful pair of eyes you have.” Zhang Fei [5] blurted out.

”Who are you? How did you break into my cave?” Lei Huoting asked with a calm expression, but her tone was extremely chilling, and her aura enveloped Zhang Fei [5].

”You donʼt have to be like this, okay? I came in here after getting permission from your parents and grandfather.” Lei Huoting was surprised to hear that Zhang Fei [5] could still speak calmly, even though her aura enveloped him. ”You are powerful, but you donʼt know about me, and I am not as weak as you imagine.”

Lei Huoting frowned at that. ”Why did my parents and grandfather let you come in here and disturb my cultivation?”

”They already told me about your golden crow flame, and I was curious about it, so I asked them to let me meet you.” As Zhang Fei [5] approached her, Lei Huoting waved her hand, and a streak of golden flame materialized between them. He wasnʼt concerned about that and passed the golden flame, shocking her. ”I have no ill intentions toward you, so you donʼt need to be so defensive. Instead, I might be able to help you perfect your golden crow flame, and you will become even stronger afterward.”

Lei Huoting shook his head in response. ”I donʼt know you, so I wonʼt believe you.”

”Why donʼt you let me try first?” Lei Huoting furrowed her eyebrows because of Zhang Fei [5]ʼs insistence. ”If I fail, thereʼs no loss to you, but youʼll gain great benefits if I succeed.”

Lei Huoting looked at Zhang Fei [5] in distrust. ”All right, you can try it.”
