Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 901: Trouble In Netherworld Realm

Lei Huoting was surprised when Huo Diqiu came out of Zhang Fei [5]ʼs body. ”Master, the golden crow flame is a special flame. This woman is a mixed breed, so Iʼm not sure if she will succeed in refining her flame to perfection. However, there is one method you might try to help her, but Iʼm not sure that it will work.”

”What is that method?”

”Give her a fragment of the Sun Flame, but it does not exist in the three mortal realms. The golden crow flame and the sun flame are almost similar, so Iʼm sure it can perfect her flame.”

”The Sun Flame, huh?” Zhang Fei [5] muttered to himself. ”The flame only exists in the Paradise Realm, and I donʼt have the ability to go to that realm yet.”

Huo Diqiu nodded at him. ”Instead of that, focus on breaking into the Seven Divine Realms, which is the most realistic goal for you.”

”What is the Sun Flame and the Paradise Realm?” Lei Huoting suddenly asked.

Zhang Fei [5] let out a soft sigh and explained to Lei Huoting about the Sun Flame and the Paradise Realm, which amazed and shocked her. ”There are a total of ten heavenly flames, and I have already obtained four of them. I already know the location of the Sky Flame, but I canʼt take it now. Unfortunately, I donʼt know the location of the Blood Flame, and I donʼt have any clues to its whereabouts. I wonʼt be able to perfect my technique without it, so I have to find it before I go to the Paradise Realm.”

”I think I know something about the Blood Flame.”

”Eh?” Zhang Fei [5] was shocked. ”Do you know the location of the Blood Flame?”

”I donʼt know the exact location of the blood flame, but I have heard of the phenomenon that marks its appearance.”

”What kind of phenomenon is that?”

”The red moon, or what is often referred to as the Blood Moon.” Zhang Fei [5] stared at Lei Huoting in stupefaction. ”According to legend, the first appearance of the Blood Moon will cause all living beings to go berserk, be they human, demon, beast, or even natural races. When the phenomenon reaches its peak, all living beings affected by it will die, and the moon will absorb their blood dry. The Blood Flame will emerge at that moment, but it will only last for a few hours. If no one takes the flame, it will vanish and reappear at the next phenomenon, which occurs once every thousand years in random realms.”

”Are you sure about that?”

Lei Huoting shook her head. ”I have never seen that phenomenon or the Blood Flame in person, and I only learned about it from my great-grandfatherʼs stories.”

”Actually, the phenomenon has occurred in the Demon Purgatory Realm, and almost all the demons in that realm have become berserk since its appearance, except for the undead demons.” Zhang Fei [5]ʼs reply shocked Lei Huoting. ”One of my clones is in seclusion in that realm, but my acquaintances there do not know the origin of that phenomenon. If your story is true and it is related to the birth of the Blood Flame, I must closely monitor changes in that realm, or it will be troublesome if I fail to obtain the Blood Flame this time.”

”One of your clones?”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”This body is also one of my clones, and my real body is focused on seclusion.”

Lei Huoting narrowed her eyes and seriously observed Zhang Fei [5], but she felt that he was a real person and not a clone. ”How can you create such a realistic clone?”

”Itʼs my demon ability.” Zhang Fei [5]ʼs answer made Lei Huoting furrow her brows, and he showed his lust demon form to her for a few moments before transforming into his complete fox form.

Lei Huoting nodded her head slightly. ”You are the heir of the ten-tailed fox.”

”Everyone says so, but Iʼm not sure about it yet.” Zhang Fei [5] then returned to his human form. ”Hey, I canʼt help you perfect your golden flame now, but I have many resources that can help you become stronger. I know you donʼt like crowds, but you canʼt go on like this, so I want to take you to a place to cultivate better. Additionally, the place is inhabited by beasts, mostly female ones, which should make you feel more at ease.”

Lei Huoting looked distrustful of Zhang Fei [5]. Although he was the heir of the ten-tailed fox, she had never met him before.

Since Lei Huoting did not believe him, Zhang Fei [5] decided to take another approach to convince her. ”What if I take you there first? After you see the situation there, you can decide whether to accept my offer or not, and I wonʼt force you.”

”All right.”

Lei Huoting was amazed as soon as they entered the beast space, and she saw many familiar faces there, some of whom were her rivals, such as Yan Chengxin and Yuwen Xingyuan.

”Feng Qingmeng, Zhu Lingyao, and Huli Haohao also joined me.” Lei Huoting turned to Zhang Fei [5] in confusion, especially since he didnʼt see the three women there. ”They are training somewhere else, but I wonʼt take you there, especially since that place is for my wife.”

Although Zhang Fei [5] did not say it clearly, Lei Huoting immediately understood it. However, she didnʼt expect that Feng Qingmeng, Zhu Lingyao, and Huli Haohao would become romantically involved with him.

”What is your decision? Do you want to cultivate here with them?”

Lei Huoting looked at all the beasts before nodding. ”I accept your offer to cultivate here.”

”Thatʼs good.” Zhang Fei [5] then grabbed Lei Huotingʼs hand and placed two pill bottles in her palm. ”You can swallow them now, and I will meet your family to inform them of your departure.”

”Yeah. Lei Huoting then looked for the quietest area, away from the other beasts, especially Lei Qiu, Tianguo, and Xue Bao.

At the Qilin clan, Zhang Fei [5] spoke to Lei Qiling and the others, informing them about Lei Huoting. Although they were surprised by her decision, they were also pleased that she was willing to leave her cave and gather with the other beasts.

”Does the situation in the Dragon Clan have anything to do with you?” Lei Qilin suddenly asked.

Zhang Fei [5] smiled and responded with a question. ”Isnʼt that obvious, Senior? You donʼt need to think about the Dragon Clan; just focus on your cultivation here. If there are any changes in the situation, I will contact you again, and I hope you are willing to help me fight Xereth.”

”As long as it is for the good of this universe and its inhabitants, we will definitely help you.” Yan Feng and Lei Huolin nodded in agreement with their father.

Zhang Fei [5] was relieved by that. ”In that case, I will leave now; I still have to take care of many things in other realms.”

Lei Qilin also left the place after that, leaving Yan Feng and Lei Huolin smiling to themselves as they looked at their daughterʼs cave. ”I hope that from today on, our daughter will start to change for the better, husband.”

”I hope the same as you.” Yan Feng hugged her waist and led her away. ”Iʼm curious about Zhang Fei [5]ʼs secret place, and Iʼm sure itʼs a unique place for beasts like us. Otherwise, our daughter wouldnʼt have decided so quickly, especially since she doesnʼt know him yet.”

”Rather than that place, Iʼm more curious about Zhang Feiʼs [5] intentions toward our daughter.” Yan Feng turned to Lei Huolin with raised eyebrows. ”That kid is a playboy, and our daughter is such a peerless beauty, so Iʼm sure heʼll be interested in her. Unfortunately, he already has too many women, so I hope our daughter wonʼt be tempted by him.”

Yan Feng nodded in agreement. ”I also hope our daughter wonʼt fall for Zhang Fei [5], but we donʼt know what fate holds, so letʼs see the results when she comes back.”

”Yeah.”

After Zhang Fei [5] left the Qilin clan, he immediately went to Earth to pick up items there, and he also had to increase the supply for his three shops there. He also met all his slaves who lived there, and the situation there was much calmer because people from the Diyu and Tian Realms never came down to the human realm again.

After he settled matters on Earth, Zhang Fei [5] went to the Sky Jade Realm. As usual, he handed over earth items to people from the Chu Clan and the Shen Clan for his two shops in the Western and Southern Regions. He also met Feng Jinqiu and his two slaves, Chao Mojie and Long Jiutian, whom he placed there to ambush Fa Ling as soon as he arrived at the lower realms.

Thereafter, Zhang Fei [5] went to the Nine Stars Realm to check the progress of the plan, but the small island had not yet been built, and the people there still needed some time to complete everything.

After he chatted with Yun Aoxian and the others, Zhang Fei [5] went to the Divine Flame Realm to meet Jiang Shen and take care of his stock there. He also went to the Alchemy Union to check on the progress of the True Foundation Pill, but Huoyun Zhiyan and the others still needed four to five months to finish concocting it.

Then, Zhang Fei [5] went to the Evergreen Spirit Haven Realm, especially since Da Xiongmao sent him a voice transmission that the building was ready. He then filled the building with many items, including earth goods, alchemy-related items, and many others. He ordered the giant to run the shop instead of doing it himself.

Zhang Fei [5] also went to the Red Sun Realm to meet Huo Jiguang, especially since he wanted to help him sell his alchemy items. However, he hasnʼt seen him since their last meeting, mainly because heʼs been busy with many things. He decided to meet Mai Xiaomeng at the Zhang Clan; he sent her and several members of the Lunar Shadow Cat into his beast space.

After everything was settled, Zhang Fei [5] decided to go to the Starry Sky Realm, and the demon extermination sword led him to the ruins of the Jian Clanʼs residence. He honored the families of Jian Heiʼan and Jian Guangʼan, whom Xereth had slaughtered in the past, by pouring several jugs of wine there. He also decided to stay and cultivate there for a while so the two sword spirits could vent their longing.

In the Demon Purgatory Realm, Zhang [1] and Wang Yin stood side by side on a balcony. He explained to the female undead demon the information he got from Lei Huoting regarding the blood moon, causing her expression to become serious.

”Is it true that they will die when this blood moon phenomenon reaches its peak?”

Zhang Fei [1] shook his head in response. ”Lei Huoting only heard about it from her great-grandparents, and she has never witnessed the truth herself. Therefore, we have no choice but to wait for this phenomenon to reach its peak, and we will get the truth then.”

”Phew.” Wang Yin let out a long sigh as she stared at the blood moon. ”If all of them really died because of this phenomenon, this realm would be completely empty.”

”Are you thinking about moving to another realm?”

Wang Yin shook her head in reply. ”Even though this realm will become like a dead one, I will not move from here, and I will continue to wait here until that mysterious person comes again. Once I get an answer to that personʼs purpose in turning me into an undead, I will ask him to reverse this curse so that I can rest in peace forever.”

Zhang Fei [1] chose not to comment on it, especially since he could see that Wang Yin had already made up her mind and would never change it. ”Iʼll go back to them now, especially since I donʼt have much time to relax.”

After Zhang Fei [1] left, Wang Yin also left her palace, and she went to check on the other demon emperors and empresses.

Quickly, another week passed. A black flying artifact slowly flew toward a planet. The female demon, Xue Yuemozi, stood in front of it and looked towards the realm. ”Hehe! I finally found you, Alder! If I succeed in capturing you and your daughter, my lord will give me a generous gift, so I wonʼt waste this opportunity.”

As soon as Xue Yuemozi flew into the Netherworld Realm, the demon cultivators living there immediately noticed her arrival, including the wolf king, Alder.

Alder, Morgana, Oz the First, Ju Yingzhi, and Xin Yanluo immediately blocked Xue Yuemoziʼs path.

Ju Yingzhi stiffened after she saw Xue Yuemozi, and she clenched her fist so hard that her body trembled. Xin Yanluo immediately grabbed her hand, rubbed it, and calmed her down.

Xin Yanluo secretly sent a message to Zhang Fei, especially since Xue Yuemozi was much stronger than all of them.

”Hehehe!” Xue Yuemozi laughed horribly, and her gaze fell on Ju Yingzhi. ”I originally came to this realm to capture that wolf demon, but I didnʼt expect to meet you here, Princess Yingzhi. Back then, you managed to escape from my subordinates, but you wonʼt be able to escape anymore now. Since you are here now, I will capture you and hand you over to my lord, and he will absorb your rift abilities.”

”Humph!” Ju Yingzhi snorted and summoned two transparent swords, pointing one of them at Xue Yuemozi. ”Back then, you used underhanded means to slaughter my family and harm me, and I will avenge their deaths today.”

”Let me join you.” Alder spoke as he transformed into his half-wolf form, with both hands and feet becoming like wolf legs. ”Yuemozi! I know you will find me sooner or later, but unfortunately, you wonʼt be able to find my daughter. After I kill you, I will return to the Blackthorn Abyss Realm to settle accounts with those traitors and free my family.”

”Where is your daughter?” Xue Yuemozi inquired as she unleashed her aura, causing Alder and the others to involuntarily drift backwards. ”If you hand over your daughter, I will grant you an easy death.”

”Haha.” Alder laughed. ”Keep dreaming! If you want my daughter, you can search for her all over the universe! Unfortunately, you will never be able to find her, especially since I have already handed her over to someone I can trust.”

Xue Yuemozi frowned and moved to attack Alder, but Morgana was ready to stop her, and countless dark crows immediately appeared to attack her.

”Futile!” Xue Yuemoziʼs aura exploded, and Morganaʼs dark crows disappeared instantly. ”If I recall correctly, you are the last witch demon of the Abyssal Realm, right? If I kill you now, your annoying race will disappear forever.”

Oz the First frowned at that, and he pulled Morgana behind him. ”Wife, unlock the seal on my soul.”

”But—”

”Wife, we donʼt have another choice, so you can do it now.” Oz the First nodded as he watched Xue Yuemoziʼs movements.

”Hmm?” Xue Yuemozi narrowed her eyes as Morgana took out the black key, and it gave her a bad vibe. ”Do you think Iʼll let you do that?”

Xue Yuemozi immediately waved her hand, and a large black sickle flew towards them. However, Ju Yingzhi hurriedly cut through the air, and it shot into the hole that appeared there.

”What a troublesome ability!” Xue Yuemozi then moved toward Ju Yingzhi.

However, Ju Yingzhi already prepared a trap for Xue Yuemozi, and she quickly moved before taking her to the dimensional rift that she just created.

Despite this, Ju Yingzhi didnʼt have the confidence to imprison Xue Yuemozi for too long, especially since her cultivation and strength were higher than hers. ”I donʼt know how long I can trap her inside, so you guys must remain vigilant.”
