Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 867: Calamity Demon Dragon

As she expected, Zhu Lingyao saw Long Aotianʼs group leaving the secret passage. Their expressions were unsightly, especially after the incident with Long Wuzhao earlier.

Long Qichao immediately asked. ”What should we do now, Brother? Iʼm not sure we can win against the Phoenix Clan if the ancestor is not willing to help us.”

”Return.” Long Aotian hurriedly went to the teleportation portal and led them back.

Following their departure, Zhu Lingyao landed there and looked for the key to open the entrance. As soon as she located it, she opened it and stepped inside.

ʼThe ancestor they are referring to is definitely the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon, but Iʼm sure itʼs not his real body, and itʼs probably just his avatar or something else.ʼ Zhu Lingyao didnʼt climb but instead watched the stairs descend. ʼWhat kind of place is it down there? This place is much more ancient than I expected, so I must not act rashly. I can feel a terrifying and deadly aura from down there.ʼ

Zhu Lingyao then sat there while waiting for Zhang Fei [5], especially since she was sure he was up there, and she would rather not waste her energy meeting him up there.

Several hours later.

Zhang Fei [5] arrived at the entrance, but he was a little surprised to find Zhu Lingyao waiting for him. He lifted her up and embraced her waist. ”Did I keep you waiting long, my love?”

ʼIʼm not your lover.ʼ Zhu Lingyao gently pushed Zhang Fei [5] back. ʼDid you meet the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon up there?ʼ

”I met and talked to his avatar.”

ʼAs I expected.ʼ Zhu Lingyao then asked. ʼDo you want to go downstairs?ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”I want to go, but you canʼt follow because itʼs too evil down there. Long Wuzhao sealed the thing down there before he ascended to the higher realm, making it filled with hatred.”

ʼWhat is that thing?ʼ

”An ancient dragon, the Calamity Demon Dragon to be precise, and its strength is on par with Long Wuzhao.” Zhu Lingyao frowned deeply after Zhang Fei [5] mentioned the identity of the dragon, and its name was enough to explain that it was dangerous. ”You should go back now, and Iʼll check downstairs.”

ʼNo.ʼ Zhu Lingyao vehemently refused. ʼI am a vermilion bird, and I am much stronger than you.ʼ

*Slap*

ʼAhh!ʼ Zhu Lingyao jumped back after Zhang Fei [5] spanked her ass. ʼYou are shameless and impudent!ʼ

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei [5] chuckled. ”Your buttocks are plump and bouncy; they make me itch to spank them.”

Zhu Lingyaoʼs face turned red with anger and shame, but she immediately turned around and walked down the staircase. ʼLetʼs go!ʼ

”Stubborn!”

Unlike when he climbed to the mountain peak, Zhang Fei [5] and Zhu Lingyao arrived at the last step below much faster. However, the temperature in that place was extremely cold, and a pitch-black aura covered the entire area, which stemmed from the hatred of the Calamity Demon Dragon.

Zhu Lingyao trembled at that, but Zhang Fei [5] pulled her into a hug to calm her down. ”I told you not to come here, but you were stubborn!”

ʼThe dragonʼs hatred was beyond my imagination, and it frightened me so much.ʼ Zhu Lingyao looked up at him. ʼDonʼt you feel anything from either of them?ʼ

”Perhaps my feelings have become numb after I killed too many living beings, so the dragonʼs hatred doesnʼt affect me in the slightest.”

A man figure with blood-red eyes full of hatred suddenly appeared in front of them, and he attacked the two directly. Zhang Fei [5] immediately activated his light element, and the light angel appeared behind them, forcing him to move away.

Zhu Lingyao looked at the light angel in amazement. ʼDid you create it by materializing your light element?ʼ

”Youʼre right, and I used one of my women as a model.” Zhang Fei [5] summoned the demon extermination sword and slashed it toward the man, but the man stretched out his hand and countered his light element, dispelling it. ”Just the manifestation of his hatred is already this powerful; I dare not imagine the true power of the Calamity Demon Dragon.”

Zhu Lingyao tried to attack the men with her vermilion flames, but he dispelled them directly. ʼWe should leave this place; we canʼt possibly defeat him.ʼ

”You must go back now, and I will find a way to get rid of this person.” Zhang Fei [5] said this as he shifted Zhu Lingyao behind him.

ʼNo!ʼ Zhu Lingyao grabbed Zhang Fei [5]ʼs hand. ʼYou must come back with me! This hatred will affect you if you stay here for too long.ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] turned to Zhu Lingyao and gave her a quick kiss, stunning her. ”Go back and donʼt worry about me; Iʼll be fine.”

ʼBut—ʼ

”Donʼt argue with me.” Zhang Fei [5] stopped Zhu Lingyao. ”Youʼre stronger than me, but you donʼt have the light element. Youʼll only burden me if you stay here, so please leave and donʼt tell anyone else about this place.”

Zhu Lingyao bit her lower lip and turned to leave. ʼBe careful!ʼ

The man flew to chase after Zhu Lingyao, but Zhang Fei [5] intercepted him and slashed the demon extermination sword at him, causing him to let out an eerie shriek.

The man flew away while glaring at the demon extermination sword, making Zhang Fei [5] smile. ”As expected! You are a demon, even though you are just the embodiment of his hatred.”

”Attack him.” The demon extermination sword shot out of Zhang Fei [5]ʼs hand and struck the man, but he flew further back, and the sword was stopped by a transparent barrier. ”Return.”

Zhang Fei [5] grabbed the demon extermination sword, but Ma Kuangyu and Nalan Yushu suddenly came out of his soul sea, and they brought the female dark fairy with them.

Ma Kuangyu explained directly. ”Kid, this place is the most suitable place to help this woman, and she will probably regain her consciousness after she absorbs this thick hatred.”

”Since she has no consciousness, I have to possess her soul, and I will help her absorb it, Master.” Nalan Yushu possessed the female dark fairyʼs soul and floated in the air in a cross-legged position. ”Lure that guy here, Old Ma.”

”All right.” Ma Kuangyu immediately moved toward the man, but he flew away while fighting him, and the two of them fought around the area.

Nalan Yushu, who possessed the soul of the female dark fairy, quickly began to absorb the hatred. She spread the hatred into her soul while protecting her own, especially since the hatred was useless to her.

Zhang Fei [5], on the other hand, walked towards the last barrier, which blocked him from entering the place of the seal. However, his heart was pounding as he saw the true Calamity Demon Dragon curled up behind the barrier, and the golden chains tightly bound his body.

[Master, this barrier is too strong for the current you, and it can only be broken if several cultivators at the Divine Ascension Realm work together to destroy it. However, we donʼt need to do that, and you can ask Zhe Wuming to send you inside using his void element.]

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] rejected Meiʼs idea immediately, especially since he didnʼt want too many people to know the existence of the Calamity Demon Dragon. ʼIs there anything in the system shop that I can use to absorb his power from outside this barrier?ʼ

[There are no items you can use for that, Master.]

Zhang Fei [5] released a soft sigh and turned towards Ma Kuangyu, who was still fighting with the man. ”Old Ma has the upper hand against him.”

*Zing... Zing... Zing...*

The demonʼs extermination sword vibrated quite strongly, as it was eager to absorb the man, so Zhang Fei [5] immediately flew towards them and helped Ma Kuangyu attack him.

The man repeatedly let out eerie screams every time the demon extermination sword injured him and absorbed his strength, and he wanted to escape from them. Zhang Fei [5] and Ma Kuangyu did not give him the chance to escape, and they managed to paralyze him a few minutes later.

”Absorb his strength to your heartʼs content, Heiʼan and Guangʼan.” Zhang Fei [5] thrust the demon extermination sword right into the manʼs chest, nailing him to the ground. The sword greedily absorbed his strength. Nalan Yushu brought the dark fairyʼs soul to their side, and she helped her absorb his strength while absorbing hatred there.

Ma Kuangyu looked toward the seal of the Calamity Demon Dragon. ”Kid, if you obtain this dragonʼs bloodline and physique, no cultivator in the three mortal realms will be able to match you. Unfortunately, I donʼt have my peak strength, so I canʼt help you deal with this dragon.”

”Itʼs okay, Old Ma.” Zhang Fei [5] also turned that way. ”For now, I have to think of a way to keep people from coming here, including the people from the Dragon Clan. If Long Aotian turns a blind eye and releases this dragon to fight the Phoenix Clan, all realms will face a greater danger than Xereth.”

Ma Kuangyu immediately conveyed his solution. ”You just need to cover the barrier with another barrier, and the people from the Xianjin Realm can help you with that.”

”I will use my third clone to meet them.” Zhang Fei [5] suddenly felt a call in his mind, and he knew that it came from the Calamity Demon Dragon. ”If you call other people, they will probably answer your call and wake you up. Unfortunately, I am different from them, and I will not be tempted by you.”

In the Xianjin Realm, Zhang Xiaolong [3], who was cultivating in his room, immediately stopped and hurriedly left.

”Where are you going at this time of night, Junior Brother?” Lin Moxian, who was discussing with Qiao Liangren, asked.

”I need Gong Renʼs help, so Iʼll go see him now.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] quickly disappeared, confusing the two men.

”What exactly does he want to do? He had locked himself in his room for a few days straight, but he suddenly ended his seclusion and wanted to see Senior Gong.” Qiao Liangren shook his head at Lin Moxian. ”How is Yue Qinhua doing?”

”Qinhua is doing well, and our master likes her enthusiasm in the soul cultivation path. Thanks to his help, her soul level has broken through to the half-perfection stage of the soul core level in just ten days, and she will probably break through to the perfection stage soon.” Qiao Liangren then turned to Wang Yourou, who had just arrived. ”Our junior brother just went to see Senior Gong.”

”Sigh! That kid is like a ghost and difficult to find!” Wang Yourou grumbled in annoyance before sitting beside them. ”Where are the others? Why is the house so quiet?”

”Old Cheng went to the defense center. Yan Yinqing and Aunt Lingyan joined the Yan and Tantai Clans in their temporary residence.” Lin Moxian then asked her. ”Have you fallen in love with our junior brother now? You keep coming here to see him, and you seem disappointed when heʼs not around.”

”Humph.” Wang Yourou snorted softly and did not want to answer Lin Moxian. ʼHave I really fallen in love with him?ʼ

*Tap... Tap... Tap...*

They suddenly heard the sound of light footsteps from outside, and a young woman soon walked into the residence, making Lin Moxian laugh. ”You have finally arrived, Jing Qiuyue.”

Jing Qiuyue was like a graceful fairy maiden. Her delicate figure was slender and elegantly curved, with a willowy waist and a modest yet prominent bust that added to her beauty. Draped in flowing violet and blue silk decorated with starry ornaments, her fair skin looked deliciously soft. Her long, lavender hair is cascaded in soft waves, braided with silver hairpins. She held a snow-white rabbit to her chest, and a gentle smile played upon her lips—calm, warm, and enchanting.

”I donʼt care about you, Moxian.” Jing Qiuyue also ignored Wang Yourou and walked over to Qiao Liangren before sitting down by his side, which made him feel awkward. ”Liangren, Iʼve heard everything from Yinqing. Your revenge has been avenged, and your feelings are clear now. You already know my feelings for you, so I hope you wonʼt reject me anymore, and I want to marry you as soon as possible.”

”Senior Sister Jing, I—”

”I donʼt want to hear any rejection from you.” Jing Qiuyue decisively interrupted. ”In this entire universe, only you are worthy of being my husband. Moreover, our master has long since given his blessing for us to marry, but you keep thinking about the late Qin Yue. I have always understood your feelings, and I have never forced you before. However, the situation has changed now, and I will not hold my feelings back any longer.”

ʼIs this woman always like this?ʼ Wang Yourou asked Lin Moxian via voice transmission.

Lin Moxian simply nodded to her and spoke to Qiao Liangren directly. ”Liangren, Qiuyue sincerely loves you, so I think you can accept her as your wife.”

”Sigh.” Qiao Liangren turned to Jing Qiuyue. ”Iʼm sorry, Senior Sister Jing. I never loved you, and I always considered you as my sister.”

”Did you reject me because of Yue Qinhua?” Qiao Liangren immediately guessed that Yan Yinqing told Jing Qiuyue about his disciple. ”What if you marry us both at the same time?”

Not only was Qiao Liangren surprised by that, but Jing Qiuyueʼs question also surprised Lin Moxian. Wang Yourou, on the other hand, was stunned by that.

Jing Qiuyue immediately spoke again. ”Take her as your first wife if you want, but you must marry me.”

”I apologize, but I canʼt return your feelings, Senior Sister.” Qiao Liangren immediately got up and left them, much to Jing Qiuyueʼs sadness.

”Oh?” Zhang Xiaolong [3], who had just returned, was surprised by Jing Qiuyueʼs arrival. He wanted to say something to her, but Wang Yourou hurriedly pulled him into his room. ʼThis woman! He became more aggressive after not seeing me for a few days.ʼ

Lin Moxian immediately told Jing Qiuyue. ”Wang Yourou is similar to you, and she is crazy about our junior brother.”

”I will see our master first.” Jing Qiuyue immediately left Lin Moxian.

In the room, Wang Yourou directly lay down on the bed, causing Zhang Xiaolong [3] to let out a soft sigh. He immediately joined her on the bed, crawled over her, and held both his hands above her head. ”What are you going to do to me?”

”What would happen if a man and a woman were in the bed together?” Wang Yourouʼs heart skipped a beat thinking about Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs intentions. ”Iʼve helped you too many times, so you have to pay for your help, right?”

Wang Yourou turned her embarrassed face to the side, especially since they werenʼt lovers, so she was embarrassed to help Zhang Xiaolong [3].

”If you donʼt want to help me, I will never help you again.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately shifted to the side and sat cross-legged. ”Donʼt disturb me for now.”

Wang Yourou didnʼt say anything, but she thought about it in her mind. ʼShould I do that for him?ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] took out the two devices that Zhang Xiaolong [3] got from Gong Ren, and he installed them both on both sides of the wall. In an instant, a transparent barrier is formed between the two.

”This barrier is quite strong, and no cultivator below the Divine Ascension Realm can break it. This way, no one in this realm can break through it, so this dragon will be safe.” Ma Kuangyu said with a satisfied nod.

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [5] then returned to the side of the demon extermination sword and pulled it out, especially since the man had disappeared. However, Nalan Yushu still possessed the dark fairyʼs soul, endlessly absorbing the hatred. ”Old Ma, I will cultivate here while waiting for her to finish.”

”All right.”
