Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 865: Golden Dragon Shrine

Zhang Fei [5] immediately stood up, pulled Long Zhenxia into his embrace, and traced her figure, especially her waist. ”I am a lover of women, and I will not refuse a woman like you. However, I do not like women who have no self-respect and want to use any means to fulfill their ambitions, including sacrificing their bodies. Among all my official wives, there is only one woman who has the same thoughts as you, but her situation is different from yours.”

”Huh?” Long Zhenxia looked at Zhang Fei [5] with repeated blinks. ”Do you really have that many wives?”

”I have dozens of official and unofficial women.” Zhang Fei [5] replied in a casual manner, leaving Long Zhenxia dumbfounded. ”Iʼm a dual cultivator, so itʼs natural that I have so many women by my side, right?”

Long Zhenxia did not answer Zhang Fei [5] as she was shocked by the number of his women; never before had she met a man who had so many women. Even her patriarch only had three wives, even though he was so powerful.

Zhang Fei [5] released Long Zhenxia. ”Go back and reconsider your decision.”

”Whatʼs the difference between me and that woman? Why did you accept her but reject me?” Long Zhenxia asked in a bitter voice; she had already lowered her dignity and begged Zhang Fei [5], but he rejected her.

”My wife used to live in a chaotic realm, unlike you, who lived in a peaceful environment under the protection of powerful people. Many members of her race died at the hands of dictators in her realm; she herself almost died in their hands. Fortunately, she met my big sister, and she saved her. At first, I would rather not accept her because she wanted to take advantage of me, but I changed my mind after I witnessed her situation with my own eyes, and I also saved her remaining race members.” Long Zhenxia nodded understandingly, but Zhang Fei [5]ʼs next words shocked her. ”Furthermore, Long Aotian and your Dragon Clan are my enemies now, and you are a part of them. I can accept you and teach you my alchemy techniques, but your status as their member does not rule out the possibility that you will betray me, and I will not risk my safety to get you.”

Long Zhenxia trembled a bit strongly. ”What... what actually happened? Why... why are you enemies with my Dragon Clan?”

”Go back to your clan, and you can ask them for the answer.” Long Zhenxia stared at him for a while before turning to leave, but Zhang Fei [5] said something else to her. ”If you can prove that you will never betray me, and if you can help me with something about your Dragon Clan, I will consider accepting you.”

Long Zhenxia stopped at her spot and turned to Zhang Fei [5] with a cold gaze. ”Do you think I will betray my clan and help you attack them?”

”I donʼt need your help to fight them, especially since I already have plenty of help. Moreover, I hate traitors the most, and I will never accept you if you betray them.” Zhang Fei [5]ʼs answer confused Long Zhenxia. ”I want to know the secret path to the mountain peak, and it should be an easy task, right?”

”Only the seniors of my Dragon Clan know about the secret passage, and they keep it hidden from a junior like me, so I canʼt tell you about it. Even if I knew about the secret passage, I still wouldnʼt tell you about it, especially since you are my clanʼs enemy.” After she said that, Long Zhenxia hurriedly left the Phoenix Clan, but Zhang Fei [5] shot something at her, which entered her body without her realizing it.

[Why donʼt you just accept Long Zhenxia and use her as you please, Master?]

Zhang Fei [5] did not answer Mei and looked at Ning Zhuanʼer, who had already opened her eyes and was looking at him in astonishment. ”Did you hear my conversation with Long Zhenxia just now?”

”Uhm.” Ning Zhuanʼer replied with a slight nod. ”Are you really going to be an enemy of the Dragon Clan, Senior Brother? They are powerful, and they will gang up on you.”

”I never look for trouble with anyone, but the Dragon Clan was hostile to me from the start due to their fear and greed.” Zhang Fei [5] then sat in front of Ning Zhuanʼer again. ”Do you want to be my disciple, Zhuanʼer? Previously, Feng Shanxi came here, and she gave me permission to take you as my disciple.”

”Huh?” Ning Zhuanʼer was shocked and excited by that. ”Did...did Elder Shanxi really allow me to be your disciple, Senior Brother Fei?”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ”You can confirm this matter to Feng Shanxi if you wish.”

”No need, I believe you, Senior Brother Fei.”

Ning Zhuanʼer wanted to stand up and pay her respects to him, but Zhang Fei [5] stopped her. ”There is no need for such a formality with me, and you can address me as Big Brother from now on.”

”Big Brother.” Ning Zhuanʼer called out in excitement.

Zhang Fei [5] decided to share the Divine Alchemy Method with her, which shocked her. ”Learn the technique first, and you can start your alchemy after that.”

Ning Zhuanʼer was once again shocked after learning the grade of the technique, but she quickly calmed her mind and studied it seriously. ʼBig Brother Fei gave me such an amazing technique, so I must not disappoint him, and I will become a great alchemist to help him.ʼ

[Master, do you want to take Zhuanʼer as your disciple or your woman?] Mei asked in a teasing tone.

Zhang Fei [5] simply smiled in response to Meiʼs questions, and he looked at Ning Zhuanʼer with a satisfied smile. ʼLingxue, Yingʼer, and Qingʼer are Li Jingxiaʼs disciples now. The alchemist goddess gave them a lot of knowledge about alchemy, so I will let Zhuanʼer study with them later.ʼ

Long Zhenxia had just arrived at the Dragon Clan, but she saw many of her clan members on strict guard, and many of them were busy preparing weapons and armor for war. ʼWhat exactly has happened here? Why are they so strict and busy? Are they going to war with another clan?ʼ

Long Zhenxia then rushed to the area where her family lived, but she found her parents having a serious discussion, and her brother was also with them. ”Sister, our patriarch is preparing to go to war with the Phoenix Clan.”

”The Phoenix Clan?” Long Zhenxia was shocked to hear that. ”Why does our patriarch want to go to war with them?”

”Zhang Fei.” Long Taiyuan directly told Long Zhenxia about the situation. ”Our patriarch suspects that the Phoenix Clan will protect him, so he will go to war with them if they really do that.”

Long Zhenxia let out a heavy sigh before sitting by their side. ”Are you two also going to participate in this war, Father and Mother?”

”Xiaʼer, we are members of the Dragon Clan, and we cannot disobey our patriarchʼs order.” Long Xiaogang replied with a heavy sigh. ”Long Qichao was too reckless in sending our men to capture that kid, and the matter became even more complicated when he fought back and humiliated our men in public. That kid even humiliated our patriarch in front of the other leaders of the other beast clans, which deepened the problems between us.”

Long Zhenxiaʼs mother, Long Xinran, then spoke. ”Xiaʼer, I know you are serious about your alchemy, but our patriarch has already prohibited everyone from going to the Phoenix Clan or the Blazing Phoenix Sect. Therefore, you have to stay in our residence for the time being, and you can go to our Golden Dragon Sect if you want to practice alchemy.”

Long Zhenxia frowned when she heard that, especially since she had never liked the environment in the Golden Dragon Sect, and she chose to join the Blazing Phoenix Sect because of Long Qingcao. ”I wonʼt go to our sect, or that old bastard will try to molest me again, Mother.”

”All right, you donʼt need to go to our sect and do your alchemy here.”

After that, Long Zhenxia returned to her room, but her mind kept thinking about her conversation with Zhang Fei [5] earlier.

Meanwhile, the demon eyeʼs orb floated slowly and followed Long Aotian, who was walking towards the back area of the Dragon Clan. Several people followed behind him, including Long Qichao, Long Jishan, and Long Yingwu.

Before long, they arrived at the back area of their clan, and there was a teleportation portal there. Long Aotian immediately activated the portal and led them into it, and the demon eyeʼs orb followed them right before the portal turned itself off.

In a few moments, they arrived at the mountain slope, and Long Aotian pressed a rock in that area, revealing a hidden room with a staircase leading to the top.

”Letʼs go in.” Long Aotian led his clan members up the staircase, followed by the demon eyeʼs orb.

Not long after they entered, Zhang Fei [5] appeared at that place, and he checked the rock that Long Aotian had pressed earlier. ”No wonder the other leaders couldnʼt find the entrance; it turns out they hid it here.”

Zhang Fei [5] activated his invisibility, pressed the stone, and carefully climbed the staircase. The inside of the mountain was quite wide, with crystal stones illuminating both sides, and he also saw many valuable materials on the two walls, tempting him to dig them out.

”How could their ancestors build this kind of place? Additionally, the materials on these walls are extremely valuable and ancient, and I can sell them at sky-high prices in my shop.” Zhang Fei [5] then took out a hongxi dagger and dug a blackish-red rock out of one of the walls. ”This Bloodfire Obsidian contains strong fire qi essence, and not only can it be used for forging, but it can also be used to help fire cultivators strengthen their fire elements.”

[Master, I think you can use one of your clones to dig up these materials, and you can get a lot of jewels if you sell them in the Red Sun Realm or the Xianjin Realm.]

”After my ice element reaches the intermediate stage, Feltia [2] will come here to dig them up, and those foolish Dragon Clan members wonʼt notice my actions.” Zhang Fei [5] dug out another stone, which was purple with lightning flashes in it. ”What is this stone, Mei?”

[According to the system, it is the naturally formed Heavenstorm Thunderite, and it contains the essence of heavenly tribulation lightning. It can help lightning cultivators to increase their lightning power, and it can also absorb lightning bolts that attack you.]

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5]ʼs eyes lit up. ”Do you think I can use this stone to deal with the lightning bolts in Cywanwood Mountain, Mei?”

[I think it can be done, Master. However, the lightning bolts in Cyanwood Mountain are too powerful, and the lightning elemental law strengthens them even further. Thus, you will need a lot of these stones if you want to use them for that, especially since the capacity of each stone is not as large as you imagine. If the stones are not destroyed by then, you can give them to all your women with lightning elements, and their strength will increase quite significantly.]

”All right, I will let Feltia [2] dig up as many of these Heavenstorm Thunderites as possible, and I will try to use them to take the lightning elemental seed in the Cyanwood Mountain.” After that, Zhang Fei [5] continued his journey to the top.

After several hours of climbing, Zhang Fei [5] finally saw the peak of the mountain, but he did not leave the secret passage and observed the people from the Dragon Clan using the demon eyeʼs orb. However, the scenery outside surprised him, especially the existence of the shrine.

The shrine was enormous, and it was built using celestial gold. Its walls were carved with swirling dragon motifs that seemed to move when lightning arced across the sky, and it radiated an aura of overwhelming majesty. A giant statue of a Five-Clawed Golden Dragon, with its head resting on the roof of the temple and its body encircling the temple. Its eyes, inlaid with golden crystals, glowed faintly as if watching everyone who entered the place.

ʼSo, itʼs true that this golden dragon once lived here, huh?ʼ Zhang Fei [5] immediately pulled the demon eyeʼs orb back as soon as he detected an unusual aura from within the shrine, especially after Long Aotian opened the shrineʼs gate.

Zhang Fei [5], who was still in the invisible state, immediately transformed into his complete fox form. He shrunk his body and hid his other five tails, and he also modified his body in such a way by using his body modification ability in case Long Aotian and the others detected his presence.

After that, Zhang Fei [5] left the secret passage and teleported in front of the shrineʼs gate before following the people from the Dragon Clan into it.

In the front hall of the shrine, Zhang Fei [5] saw various kinds of dragon statues lined up neatly on both sides, such as a white dragon with six wings, an azure dragon, a yellow dragon, and many others.

Zhang Fei [5] was not interested in all of the dragon statues, but there was one dragon statue that caught his attention, especially since it was a black dragon with glowing red eyes. However, the black dragon statue did not stand on either side of the room but was forced to lie down in the middle of the front hall, and golden chains bound its body.

The black dragonʼs obsidian-black scales are streaked with glowing crimson, as if molten fire flows just beneath its skin. Horns curve like jagged blades from its skull, and its glowing eyes blaze with pure hatred and ancient power. Its snarling maw reveals rows of dagger-like teeth, ready to tear everything. Even though it was just a statue, it exuded an oppressive aura, and its aura felt like the weight of a thousand curses. ʼMei, look for data about this dragon in the system! This black dragon is definitely not an ordinary dragon, and it seems to be the enemy of these dragons.ʼ

[Iʼll try it, Master.]

Zhang Fei [5] then followed those people into the inner hall of the shrine, and he saw another Five-Clawed Golden Dragon statue, but it was much smaller than the one outside, and it curled up on a golden throne. Below, hundreds of small dragon statues of various races were lined up neatly, and all of them bowed their heads to their leader.

After they stood in front of the throne, Long Aotian instantly transformed into his white half-dragon form, and he had six wings like the white dragon statue in the outer hall. Long Qichao and the others followed him, but their half-dragon forms were different.

Zhang Fei [5], on the other hand, was lying leisurely on a large log under the roof. He checked the identities of the people one by one. ʼLong Aotian is a sky dragon, huh? Long Qichao is a flame dragon, Long Jishan is a thunder dragon, and Long Yingwu is a rain dragon. How many jewels will I get if I sell their body parts, Mei?ʼ

[Master, you are completely crazy! If you kill them and sell their body parts, then all the dragon races in the universe will hunt you down, which will only add to your problems.]

ʼIʼm just asking, okay?ʼ

[Humph! I know your thoughts, and you intend to sell their body part!]

ʼHahaha.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] laughed in response, but he saw Long Aotian take out a small golden vessel. ʼWhat are they going to do exactly?ʼ
