Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 858: The Sky Dragon Realm

”So, how big is the planet?”

”About 317 million square miles.”

Gong Ren nodded in understanding before leaving for the back room, but a few minutes later, he returned to Zhang Xiaolong [3], carrying hundreds of palm-sized devices with him. ”At first, I thought your planet was as big as this realm, but it turned out to be so small, and all these devices are more than enough to help you clean the air on such a small planet. You only need to spread them in the sky, and they will automatically absorb the pollution. The air will be completely clean in a month, but I canʼt guarantee whether the Qi will return.”

”A month?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] was surprised to hear that the process was so fast, especially since he initially thought that it would take several months or even years. ”How many devices do you use in this realm, Senior?”

”A million.” Gong Ren then explained to Zhang Xiaolong about the devices, including the materials used to make them. ”No modern weapons can damage these devices, and they can only be destroyed by cultivators like us. Since there are no cultivators in that realm, you donʼt need to be afraid that they will be damaged. As for their cost, you donʼt need to think about it, especially since the information about Xereth that you gave us is far more valuable than these devices. If that demon comes to this realm and destroys it, too many people will suffer losses.”

”Thank you, Senior.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately stored all devices in the systemʼs inventory.

Gong Ren immediately spoke of something else. ”Cheng Gaoji told me about your weapon, but the weapon he created for you is still not perfect, and I will help you perfect it. Once it is perfect, its explosive power will increase several times, especially when you use the fire element through it.”

”Thank you for that, Senior.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] was overjoyed because of Gong Renʼs intentions. ”Since I have obtained these devices, I will spread them in the sky of my planet now.”

”Letʼs go then; I will meet Cheng Gaoji at his residence.”

Thereafter, the two went to Cheng Gaojieʼs residence, and Gong Ren met the old man. Zhang Xiaolong [3], on the other hand, returned to his room and continued to stabilize his cultivation.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [1] and his partners were already standing in the sky on Earth. However, he was furious because all countries were cutting down the trees that Janette and Lillea had grown on a large scale.

”Master, the people on this planet are simply too stupid.” Han Xuenai said those words while shaking her head.

Luo Yu also spoke. ”Most humans are indeed stupid and annoying, and they can never appreciate nature. Janette and Lillea have taken great pains to accelerate the growth of those trees, and they have also created many new trees to improve nature, but they have started to destroy everything again.”

”Fei, if I were you, I would destroy all their strange equipment, and they wouldnʼt be able to harm nature anymore.” Gu Yan chimed in.

Huan Ya then asked him. ”Why donʼt you just take over this realm, Master? With your current strength, you can suppress these morons, and you can force them to submit to you. If they are unwilling to submit to you, you just need to kill them.”

”Huan Ya!” Xi Zihua and the others shouted at her.

Huan Ya turned to them. ”What?”

”What, your ass!” Yan Luanʼer then explained. ”These people are just ordinary humans who donʼt have any power, so itʼs unethical for cultivators like us to kill them. Moreover, Zhang Feiʼs bad karma is already too much, and his bad karma will increase even more if he kills ordinary humans like them, which will make his lightning tribulation even stronger.”

Shi Yue suddenly had an idea. ”Fei, I think you can control their leaders instead of killing them. This way, you can order them to carry out all your orders, and their subordinates shouldnʼt dare refuse them, right?”

”Unfortunately, the situation on this planet is different from the cultivation realms, and most of the countries on it will change leaders every few years.” Zhang Fei [1] then distributed those devices to them and explained how to operate them. ”All right, you guys donʼt need to mind their actions and help me spread these devices in the sky now. After that, I will go to the Blue Water Realm to pick up Balena, and we will go straight to the Demon Purgatory Realm.”

They quickly spread worldwide to install the devices, which was easy with their current cultivation. After they finished, Zhang Fei [1] directly sent them back to the training space, but he didnʼt return with them, and he went to all the warehouses in several countries to take stock of those earth items for all his shops.

After he was done, Zhang Fei [1] went to the Blue Water Realm, and he found Balena with her parents and two siblings. He then took her away from that realm, and their next destination was the Demon Purgatory Realm, which was Wang Yinʼs home realm.

Meanwhile, Xereth and Feng Yichen have arrived at the Abyssal Realm, but the barrier is blocking them. Even so, they can see the Demon Emperor and ancient demons of the realm from behind the barrier, and their expressions are very calm without the slightest worry that the two of them will succeed in breaking their barrier.

Their expressions made Xereth furious, and he immediately unleashed his strength to attack the barrier. His attack caused the realm to experience a violent tremor in all corners, but the barrier did not crack at all, let alone break. ”What the hell is this barrier? How is it capable of withstanding the full force of my attack?

”Let me try it.” Feng Yichen crossed her arms over her chest, and her body was quickly enveloped in dark flames. She then shot her dark flames toward the barrier, and they quickly enveloped it.

Feng Yichen and Xereth could hear cracking sounds from the barrier, but it automatically repaired itself, making the cracks that appeared quickly close again.

The Demon Emperor and his subordinates laughed smugly from behind the barrier. ”I knew you two were strong, especially you, Xereth. Unfortunately, this realm has changed a lot since you killed my fourth predecessor, and you will never be able to break our barrier.”

”You bastard! If I manage to break this barrier, I will absorb all your power, and I will slaughter all the demons in this realm!” Xereth furiously shouted as he launched another attack on the barrier, but the result was still the same, and the barrier remained intact.

”Haha.” The Demon Emperor laughed at him. ”You can try, but your efforts will only be in vain.”

Xereth turned to Feng Yichen, who nodded at him. The two of them immediately unleashed their full strength, combined it, and attacked the barrier at the same time.

The Demon Emperor and his subordinates tensed as many cracks appeared, but their tension disappeared as soon as those cracks closed again.

Even so, Feng Yichen and Xereth did not stop attacking the barrier, and both took out several artifacts to help them, but all their efforts were fruitless. ʼDo you think someone from the Paradise Realm came down here and helped them create this barrier?ʼ

ʼI think so.ʼ Feng Yichen replied with a nod. ʼThis barrier is too powerful for the three mortal realms, and its power surpasses the barrier in the Phoenix Realm. However, I cannot understand that personʼs reason for coming down here and helping these demons.ʼ

ʼDid that person intentionally help them to protect the Nine Yin Soul Banner?ʼ Xereth asked with a frown.

ʼYour guess is probably correct, especially since the banner belongs to the Heavenly Fiend Demon God.ʼ Feng Yichen then asked. ʼShould we go to another realm first? No matter how hard we attack this barrier, we wonʼt be able to break it.ʼ

Xereth thought for a moment before retracting his strength, and he glared at the Demon Emperor and his subordinates. ”You guys are lucky today! I will come back and destroy the barrier! All of you will die in my hands at that time!”

”Keep dreaming.”

”Tch!” Xereth clicked his tongue. ”Letʼs go, Yichen! We will go to the Blue Water Realm to find that brat and capture the Abyssal Leviathan Demon Beast.”

”Yeah.” The two immediately sped away, leaving the Abyssal Realm.

After Xereth and Feng Yichen left, one of the demons asked the Demon Emperor. ”Should we tell Morgana about the destination of the two of them, Emperor?”

”No need.” The Demon Emperor refused with a shake of his head. ”Since Morgana can tell us that they came here, Iʼm sure she already knows their destination, so we donʼt need to think about it.”

”How could Morgana do that, Emperor?” Another demon asked.

”Hmm?” The Demon Emperor raised his eyebrows as he also felt strange about it. ”Perhaps someone told Morgana about them, and she relayed that information to us. If my guess is correct, that person might be as strong as the mysterious demon who created this barrier for us.”

”Why donʼt you try asking Morgana about that person, Emperor?”

The Demon Emperor gave a light nod. ”I will ask Morgana about the personʼs identity, but I am not sure she will reveal it to me. Since they are gone, we must go back now, but some of you must stay to guard.”

”Yes, Emperor.”

Meanwhile, Feng Xishui was rapidly darting through the darkness of outer space, but his area was bright thanks to his phoenix flame that enveloped his body. ”We have entered the upper realms now, Zhang Fei. Normally, it would take us two days to arrive at the Sky Dragon Realm, but we can arrive there tonight at my peak speed.”

”Senior, return to your human form.” Feng Xishui looked up at Zhang Fei [5]. ”I will use my movement technique, and we will arrive at the Sky Dragon Realm much faster, but I need your aura protection.”

Feng Xishui returned to his human form, enveloped them with his aura, and told Zhang Fei [5] the direction to the Sky Dragon Realm. ”Are you sure you can do it?”

”Yeah.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately placed a few Qi recovery pills into his mouth before carrying Feng Xishui away using his Nine Cloud Steps and teleportation ability.

After Zhang Fei [5] used the Nine Cloud Steps and the teleportation ability for several hours non-stop, they finally arrived at a fairly large realm. Unlike the blue Earth or the red Phoenix Realm, the Sky Dragon Realm looks white from space. He immediately brought Feng Xishui into the realm, but it was already nighttime when they arrived there.

ʼThe system doesnʼt give me quests, huh?ʼ Zhang Fei [5] muttered as he looked around the realm. A towering floating island drifts across the endless skies, circling a tall mountain in the middle of the realm, and the peak is shrouded in thunderclouds.

Beneath the floating island, vast plains and oceans stretched from north to south and west to east, which were inhabited by humans and several other races.

Feng Xishui suddenly spoke to him. ”According to legend, the Sky Dragon Realm was the homeland of the true dragons in the past, and the land was blessed by the ancestor of all kinds of dragons, the five-clawed golden dragon. However, this realm underwent significant changes after their ancestor and several powerful dragons disappeared, which led to the decline of the dragon races. The remaining dragons in this realm were weaker than their ancestors, leading to invasions by other beast races, including my phoenix race.”

”Since when did humans and other races live in this realm, Senior?” Zhang Fei [5] asked.

”I donʼt know exactly when they started inhabiting this realm, but this realm is one of the most harmonious in our universe. Humans, beasts, demihumans, and natural races live in peace here, but the other races live in the lower area.” Feng Xishui then pointed to the floating island. ”Even so, many of them live there, especially those who managed to join those beast sects. My phoenix race also lives there, so we should go there now, and we will rest in my clanʼs residence.”

”All right, please lead the way, Senior.”

.

.

.

A while later, they had arrived at the floating island, and its size was truly astonishing to Zhang Fei [5]. ”From a distance, the island looked small, but it was huge and had a large population.”

The floating island is split into ten areas, each ruled by a different beast race, such as the dragon race, phoenix race, vermilion race, white tiger race, black tortoise race, and several other races.

”Haha.” Feng Xishui laughed at that. ”Our phoenix race members living on this island are about two million people, and they come from several different generations. Not to mention, there are nine other beast races ruling this island, and the members of each of them are also no less numerous than the members of my race. Moreover, you can see for yourself that there are so many members of other races here, except for the demon race, which makes this island densely populated.”

Zhang Fei [5] then looked at several tall buildings scattered in various areas, and there was a statue of a different beast on each peak, indicating the beast race that lived inside.

”My phoenix race and the vermilion bird race live in the south, and our two sects are also located close to each other.” Feng Xishui then guided Zhang Fei [5] to the southern area while posing a question. ”Have you met Zhu Shanniang?”

”Tch!” Zhang Fei [5] clenched his teeth in frustration, recalling Zhu Shanniang. ”I met that woman three days ago, and she was quite arrogant. She blocked my way and tried to suppress me with her aura, even though we didnʼt know each other. Although her cultivation is much higher than mine, I am not afraid of her. However, I also donʼt want to find trouble with her because the situation in the Xianjin Realm is unstable, or I will use my abilities against her.”

Feng Xishui naturally wasnʼt surprised by that. ”Zhu Shanniangʼs sister lives in this realm, and she leads their vermilion bird clan here.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

”Zhu Lingyao is not as beautiful as Zhu Shanniang, but her cultivation is higher than hers. In fact, her strength rivals that of Zhu Hong, and she holds the position of second-in-command within their race.” This surprised Zhang Fei [5], prompting Feng Xishui to question him. ”Do you want to meet her? Sheʼs not as grumpy as her sister, and sheʼs quite nice. Unfortunately, she was born with disabilities, and she canʼt talk because she doesnʼt have vocal cords.”

”Letʼs talk about her later.” Zhang Fei [5] then turned to a building with a golden dragon statue on top. ”My main purpose in coming here is to look for the flame dragons, especially since I need the dragon flames to improve one of my techniques. However, we should rest for the night, and we will try to go see them tomorrow.”

”All right.”

A while later, they had arrived at the residence of the Phoenix Race, and Feng Xishui immediately asked the members of his race who were holding charge to prepare a room for Zhang Fei [5].

Since Zhang Fei [5] was using his half-fox form, the members of the phoenix race did not mind his presence. Moreover, Feng Xishui told them that he was Feng Yaoʼs best friend, so they treated him very well.
