Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 897: Seeking For Beasts I

Jia Yuyan immediately explained to Tian Jingxuan and the others about the token that Feng Yao showed to the old gatekeeper. ”I donʼt know how she got that token, but she knew Tian Kongquan and the leaders after him. Furthermore, she knew about that thing, so I suspect that she was a reincarnator, and she used to live in the era of the first leader.”

Everyoneʼs expression became serious after Jiu Yuyan mentioned that, and they then looked up at the sky, thinking about the pillar of light that had appeared earlier.

”If my guess is correct, the path to the next realm is up there. Maybe we need a special key to open it, but unfortunately, we donʼt have any information about it.” Jia Yuan didnʼt tell them about Feng Yaoʼs message; she kept it to herself while waiting for Zhang Fei to come to her. ʼThe heir of the ten-tailed fox, my kin and I will wait for you to arrive here.ʼ

After they pondered for a long time, Tian Jingxuan and the others left the mountain. However, a woman stayed behind and questioned Jia Yuyan. ”Are you hiding something from us?”

The woman has a commanding and seductive presence, with auburn hair cascading down her back. Her eyes were sharp, and a small red gem rested on her forehead, symbolizing power or lineage.

She has a pronounced and shapely bust, emphasized by the bold cut of her ornate outfit. Her outfit balances allure and strength, with gold-accented, armor-like patterns tracing the chest and waist, showing off a bit of vulgarity.

”Hmm?” Jia Yuyan turned to her. ”What do you mean by that, Leng Xueyan?”

”Heh.” Leng Xueyan sneered at her. ”You are an ungrateful bitch! Iʼm sure you know something about them, and you are deliberately hiding it from us.”

Jia Yuyan sighed and shook her head. ”Itʼs up to you whether you want to believe me or not, but Iʼve never met them before, and I only know that she and her parents are the fire phoenixes of the gatekeeper. If you want to find clearer information about them, you can ask him yourself.”

”You—” Jia Yuyan vanished without a trace, infuriating Leng Xueyan. ”That bitch! I will get rid of her and her damn races from this realm in the future.”

Thereafter, Leng Yueyan went to see the old gatekeeper and read his memories, but he really didnʼt know anything about Feng Yao and her parents apart from their identity as fire phoenixes. After she thought about it, she decided to leave her realm for the Phoenix Realm.

As they flew through the tunnel of light, Feng Jiu was completely mesmerized by the sight outside. He had often flown in outer space, but this was the first time he had flown through the barrier that separated the three mortal realms from the Paradise Realm. Even though the outside area was quite dark, the light radiating from the tunnel allowed her to look outside, and she saw several large ancient beasts roaming there.

”How long will it take us to arrive at the Paradise Realm, Yaoʼer? Have you decided on our destination?” Feng Tian asked his daughter.

Feng Yao nodded and informed him. ”With Huo Lingʼs speed, we will arrive at the Paradise Realm in a month. However, you will experience something unusual once we arrive there, mainly because the time flow is significantly different. As for our first destination, we will go to the Empyrean Domain to meet Luo Yunxiao at the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary.”

”Who is Luo Yunxiao?”

”Hehe.” Feng Yao chuckled. ”Mother, Luo Yunxiao is Zhang Feiʼs childhood lover. I donʼt know for sure about the story between them, but Iʼm sure she will be his greatest support in the Paradise Realm. Her Luo Clan lives in the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary, one of the big sects in the Empyrean Domain.”

”Can you explain to us about these two?” Feng Yao told Feng Jiu and Feng Tian about these two, and he also told them about the other domains, which were 99 in total, including the Empyrean Domain.

Feng Tian exhaled softly and muttered to himself. ”I didnʼt expect the Paradise Realm to be so big; each domain is even bigger than many realms in the upper realms combined. Moreover, those who live there are also much stronger than us, so we always have to be careful.”

”Father, you donʼt need to think about them, okay?” Feng Yao gestured to Huo Ling. ”No one in the Paradise Realm can fight her, and she can kill them in seconds.”

Feng Jiu was curious about Huo Lingʼs true identity. ”How did you meet her, Yaoʼer? You previously said that she was the first fire spirit born in this universe, so she should be ancient people, right?”

”Yeah.” Feng Yao replied with a nod. ”In fact, Huo Ling was born almost at the same time as the birth of this universe, so she is indeed ancient, billions or even trillions of years old. As for how we met, you should be more patient to find out everything, especially since knowing everything now wouldnʼt be too good for you.”

Feng Jiu looked at her daughter suspiciously, but Feng Yao just smiled. Feng Tian suddenly asked her. ”Are there still other realms after the Paradise Realm?”

”Father, donʼt ask anything for now, okay? You havenʼt even broken through to the Five Celestial Realms, so thereʼs no point in you knowing too much.” Feng Tian sighed heavily, frustrated by Feng Yaoʼs secrecy. ”When the time is right, you will know everything, especially my true identity.”

Feng Tian nodded slightly before asking again. ”You said that you have lived several lifetimes, right? Did you also bring your parents from all your previous lives to the Paradise Realm?”

”No.” Feng Yao explained some other things to her father and mother, causing them to sigh. ”All right, you two donʼt need to think about all that, and I will teach you to absorb the Celestial Qi.”

”Can we absorb the Celestial Qi even if we havenʼt broken through to the Five Celestial Realms?” Both Feng Jiu and Feng Tian inquired in confusion.

Feng Yao immediately opened her palms and created two different flames. ”The Celestial Qi is actually no different from ordinary Qi or Divine Qi, but it only exists in the Paradise Realm, and the two of you wonʼt be able to absorb it without a proper method. In that realm, young cultivators have already begun absorbing the Celestial Qi since they began their path of cultivation, so their cultivation speed cannot be compared with the younger generation in the three mortal realms. Once you master the method, your cultivation speed will increase several times, and you will be able to break through to the Five Celestial Realms in no time.”

”Teach us now.” Feng Yao smiled at their impatience, and she immediately taught them about the proper method to absorb the Celestial Qi.

Zhe Wuming, who was in seclusion, opened his eyes when he sensed someoneʼs presence in front of his private place. Zhang Fei [5] immediately entered as soon as he opened the seal for him. ”What brought you here?”

”Feng Yao and her parents have gone to the Paradise Realm.” Zhang Fei [5]ʼs information shocked Zhe Wuming and Xue Bao. ”You already know that she is a reincarnator, right, Senior?”

”Yes.”

Zhang Fei [5] then continued. ”Feng Yaoʼs true identity is far beyond our reach, and she doesnʼt want to linger in the three mortal realms, so she decided to take her parents away early. I tried to persuade her, but she insisted on leaving.”

”I see.” Zhe Wuming nodded in understanding. ”Since they have already left, we canʼt do anything to stop them, and we have to fight to stop Xereth ourselves. Has Senior Huangjin been able to determine the demonʼs location yet?”

”Not yet.” Zhang Fei [5] answered with a shake of his head. ”Xereth already knows that we are after him, so he wonʼt be hiding somewhere that is easy to find, and he might have gone to the other end of this universe to hide. Actually, I have a way to defeat that demon, but I canʼt do it alone, and I need a lot of help from powerful beasts. Unfortunately, some of them want to kill me, so I canʼt ask them for help.”

Zhe Wuming let out a heavy sigh, as he already knew about it, but he couldnʼt possibly stop all those beasts by himself. ”Those beasts always act arrogant, but they hide cowardice beneath it. After they witnessed your many abilities, they considered your existence a threat, so they wanted to eliminate you before you could surpass them. Since you already know which beast races want to kill you and which donʼt, I think you should approach those who donʼt want to kill you first to consolidate your power.”

”Yeah, youʼre right, senior.”

”Do you need my help, Kid?” Xue Bao suddenly asked.

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [5] then told him. ”I have a special place for beasts to train, and if you donʼt mind, Iʼll send you there. This way, you can cultivate faster, and I can borrow your strength whenever I need it.”

”Send me now!” Xue Bao agreed without a second thought.

”Is that okay with you, Senior?” Zhang Fei [5] asked Zhe Wuming.

Zhe Wuming nodded in response. ”I can protect myself, so you can bring Xue Bao there.”

After Zhe Wuming agreed, Zhang Fei [5] sent Xue Bao into the training space. This way, his strength would be much stronger if he used the Soul Link to borrow the power of all the beasts inside, and he wouldnʼt need to be afraid to fight against the ancestors of other mythical beast races.

”Iʼll go see Senior Jingxia now.”

After Zhang Fei [5] left, Zhe Wuming sealed his personal space again, returning to focus on his seclusion.

.

.

.

”Why are you here? Didnʼt you enter seclusion with the others?” Li Jingxia inquired immediately after Zhang Fei [5] stepped into the room.

”Would you like to join us, Senior?” Lin Jingxia thought for a moment before declining Zhang Fei [5]ʼs offer. ”Do you have a beast contract?”

”I do.” Lin Jingxia immediately summoned her contract beast, which was a Flameheart Rabbit. ”Unfortunately, Zhi Yan is not a fighting beast, and she focuses more on helping me with alchemy. She can detect temperature fluctuations and correct errors mid-concoction, and her ember flame can fuse with my flame for smoother pill concoction.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5] was surprised to hear the rabbitʼs abilities. He then took out the six beast pills, presenting them before Zhi Yan. ”You donʼt need to be afraid; these pills are not poison. Instead, they will improve several aspects of you, especially your talent.”

”Kid, Iʼm much more talented than you!” Zhi Yan protested as she misunderstood that Zhang Fei [5] thought her talent was bad.

”Haha! Iʼm not saying your talent is bad, but one of these pills is the Beast Talent Pill, and it will increase the basic talent of all beasts.” Zhang Fei [5] then explained to Zhi Yan about the effects of the other pills, which shocked her and Lin Jingxia. ”Three of my wives are your masterʼs disciples, so I wanted to give these pills to you. Moreover, you are a quasi-divine beast, and you will be able to evolve into a divine beast in the future.”

Zhi Yan turned to Lin Jingxia, who nodded at her. Since her master agreed, she received the pills and swallowed them one by one according to Zhang Fei [5]ʼs guidance. In less than an hour, she had swallowed all the pills, and their effects stunned her for quite a while.”

”How do you feel, Yanʼer?” Lin Jingxia asked.

”Amazing, Master!” Zhi Yan answered with a low scream. ”His pills are truly effective, master! I can feel all the effects right away, and everything about me has improved significantly.”

”I didnʼt lie to you, right?” Zhi Yan nodded at Zhang Fei [5], who then explained to them about his plans. ”Do you want to practice there?”

”Go with him, Yanʼer.” Zhi Yan turned to Lin Jingxia. ”I wonʼt be concocting pills for a while, and I will focus on my cultivation. Therefore, you can go with him to practice, and you can practice with his contract beasts.”

Zhi Yan thought for some time before nodding in agreement. ”All right, I will train in your beast space. However, I will beat up your beast contracts if they dare to bother me.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed at that. ”Donʼt worry, they wonʼt bother you. Most of them are female beasts, except Lei Qui and Tianguo.”

”Tianguo? Isnʼt that a Divine Beast?”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at Lin Jingxia. ”Tianguo used to live in the Wasteland Realm, and I subdued him by force a week ago. By the way, Iʼll take Zhi Yan there now, senior.”

”All right.”

.

.

.

”Hmm?” Zhi Yan tried to absorb the Qi inside the beast space, and she instantly fell in love with the place, as it was an ideal environment for beasts to cultivate. ”Hehehe! I think Iʼll be comfortable staying here for a long time.”

”Iʼm glad you like it.” Zhang Fei [5] then introduced Zhi Yan to the beasts who lived there, but her aura was quite intimidating to them, especially since her cultivation was simply too high for them.

”Ahhhh!” Zhi Yan screamed as soon as Xue Bao jumped onto her back. ”Ahhh! Go away from me, you perverted beast!”

*Chomp... Chomp...*

Instead, Xue Bao chewed on Zhi Yanʼs rabbit ears, embarrassing her. ”I want to eat your meat.”

”Noooo! Let me go!” Zhi Yan shouted as she jumped up and down to shake Xue Bao from her back. ”Ahhh! Help me! This perverted beast wants to kill me!”

”Shut up!” Zhi Yan and Xue Bao froze as soon as they heard that, even more so when Feng Yichen appeared in front of them. No matter how strong the two of them were, the Dark Phoenix simply overpowered them. ”If you two continue to fight, I will roast you both and eat your meat.”

Zhi Yan immediately curled up on the ground, shaking violently. Xue Bao was also trembling while lying on her back, and he did not dare to look at Feng Yichen.

*Slap*

”Ahh!” Feng Yichen screamed in surprise because Zhang Fei [5] slapped her unexpectedly. ”Why did you slap me, Master?”

Zhang Fei [5] released a soft sigh. ”You better not scare Xue Bao and Zhi Yan, or they will have difficulty cultivating. I need them to fight Xereth, so let them cultivate in peace, or I will punish you.”

”If they want to cultivate quietly, they should keep their mouths shut.” Feng Yichen pointed to the two beasts.

”You two donʼt make a scene here, okay? I donʼt stay here all the time, or Yichen will really punish you two if you keep making a fuss.” Xue Bao and Zhi Yan looked at Zhang Fei [5] and nodded their heads vigorously. ”You guys can start cultivating now, and Iʼll go take care of other things.”

”Shut your mouths! Got it?”

”Yes!” Xue Bao and Zhi Yan immediately ran away towards another area, far away from Feng Yichen.

Feng Yichen then looked at Tianguo, who was always curled up under the big tree, lamenting his fate. ”What a foolish and weak beast!”

Zhang Fei [5] had already arrived at the Sky Dragon Realm, but he first went to see Zhuang Qiaoming in the lower land. The two of them went straight to the building for his alchemy shop, and he immediately arranged many pills, herbs, and other things there.

”I thought you forgot about your plan to open this shop.”

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head. ”I was too focused on my blacksmithing and body cultivation in the past month or so, so I forgot to see you. Now the shop is ready, so you can start opening it, and you just need to contact me if you need additional stock.”

”All right.” Zhuang Qiaoming then asked him. ”What about your issue with the Dragon Clan?”

”Their situation is still chaotic, so I didnʼt think too much about them. Instead, Iʼm building up strength to fight a tough opponent, so Iʼll be leaving now.” After saying that, Zhang Fei [5] left the shop and went to the floating island.
