Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 852: Two Breakthroughs

[Ding]

[Congratulations! The hostʼs Heavenly Body Tempering Technique has been upgraded to the diamond body.]

[Congratulations! The hostʼs Heavenly Lightning Body Cultivation Technique has been upgraded to the perfection stage.]

===

Along with the appearance of the two notifications, the sky in the Blue Water Realm became bright again, indicating that Zhang Feiʼs breakthrough was over. ”After eleven breakthroughs, my heavenly lightning body cultivation technique finally reached the perfection stage. The last time my heavenly body tempering technique broke through was seven months ago when I broke through to the Earth Realm. This way, my overall body strength and overall raw strength increased a lot, and I still have my enhanced condition ability, so the percentage of both will increase even greater.”

[Master, your heavenly body tempering technique can still break through once more; your body strength will increase by another 15%, and your raw strength will also increase by 10% at that time. I think itʼs time for you to learn another body technique so you will become even stronger, and no cultivator in the three mortal realms will be able to fight you.]

Zhang Fei nodded in agreement with that. ”Since I have the fire element, I think itʼs better if I learn a fire body cultivation technique, and I can improve it more easily than a normal body cultivation technique. Unfortunately, there is no such technique in the system shop, so I have to look for it elsewhere, but where can I get it?”

[Why donʼt you try looking for him in the Sky Dragon Realm? The flame dragons in that realm probably have a body cultivation technique with the fire element as the foundation, so you can try asking them about that.]

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Zhang Fei then sent Lei Que the thunderbird to rest in the beast space, especially since his lightning tribulation just now was quite strong. ”How much Qi do I need to break through to the 4-Star Heaven Realm, Mei?”

[Iʼll show you, Master.]

===

[Cultivation]

> 3 Star Heaven Realm [Qi: 12,500,000/16,000,000]

[Demon Rank]

- Duke Rank [Demon Essence: 169,100,000/180,000,000]

[Beast Rank]

- 6 Tails [Beast Essence: 18,560,000/200,000,000]

===

”Three and a half million more, huh?” Zhang Fei was satisfied with that. ”My demon rank will also advance to archduke rank with eleven million demon essences.”

[Master, you should not absorb Chao Mojieʼs cultivation for now, especially since you donʼt have Nine Revolutions Pills anymore. If you want to increase your demon rank, the easiest way is to slaughter the demon beasts in this realm, and their amount of demon essence should be much greater than the demon beasts in the Nine Hells Darkland Realm.]

Zhang Fei didnʼt want to do that, especially since he didnʼt have any problems with the demons in the Blue Water Realm.

===

[Ding]

[Mapping of the area of the Blue Water Realm has been completed; the host can check the entire area via the map.]

===

”Mei, look for the entrance to the Sunken Empireʼs ruins.”

[Iʼm working on it, Master.]

Zhang Fei immediately descended from the sky to the side of Murong Qianying and the others. ”Iʼll send you guys back there.”

”Are you sure you can handle everything yourself?” Murong Qianying asked.

Fei Qinyuan also asked him. ”Are you going to absorb that demon now?”

”The situation in this realm is under control, and the demons have been freed from Mo Xieshenʼs slave mark, so there will be no more problems.” Zhang Fei then looked at Chao Mojie. ”I will not absorb him for now, and I will move him to the Nine Hells Darkland. After I stabilize my foundation, I will absorb him directly.”

After Zhang Fei sent Xian Xianqin and the others back to the training space and took Balena out of there, his first clone took Chao Mojie to the Nine Hells Darkland at once to complete the daily quests. His second clone returned to the phoenix realm again to cultivate in the icy lake, and his third clone returned to the Xianjin Realm before cultivating in his room.

[Master, I have found the entrance to the Sunken Empireʼs ruins; it is in the underwater cave. However, there is a concealment formation at the mouth of the cave, and the formation is above high-grade level, so no one noticed it.]

Hearing that, Zhang Fei immediately brought Balena to that place, but they saw a few confused demons in the area not far from the Sunken Empireʼs ruins.

”Father! Mother!” Balena shouted as soon as she saw her parents in the crowd of demons.

The two demon whales immediately turned towards Balena. ”Daughter? Is it really you?”

”Yes!” Balena immediately pulled Zhang Fei toward her parents before hugging them both. ”Father! Mother! I missed you so much!”

Balenaʼs parents immediately hugged her back, and the three of them cried together.

A while later, Baenaʼs mother let go of their hugs, groped her face, and wiped her tears. ”Where have you been these hundreds of years? You suddenly disappeared without a trace, and weʼve been searching for you for a long time, but weʼve been unable to locate you. We thought you were dead, but you are still alive and well.”

”Mother.” Balena called out softly before explaining to her parents the situation she experienced back then, causing both of them to sigh heavily. Even so, they were relieved that their daughter was still alive, and they could feel that she had become so strong.

Balenaʼs father patted her head. ”All is well that you are back now.”

”Father! Mother! I want to introduce you two to someone.” Balena pulled Zhang Fei to her side. ”His name is Zhang Fei, and he freed me from those demons. Besides, he also got rid of those two demons, so you can all be free from their control.”

Both of them looked at Zhang Fei, but they felt that there was something strange about him. ”Youʼre not an aquatic demon, right?”

”I am a lust demon lord, and I disguise myself as an aquatic beast so I can move freely underwater.”

Balenaʼs father nodded in understanding. ”Thank you for saving my daughter and us. My name is Nymor, and my wife is Druka.”

”Zhang Fei, thank you for bringing our daughter back to our side.” Druka sincerely said.

Zhang Fei shook his head. ”You two donʼt need to thank me. After all, Balena is my woman, and I promised her to bring her back here.”

”Eh?” Nymor and Druka turned to Balena, asking for confirmation.

Balena smiled seeing them like that. ”Father! Mother! We havenʼt done that yet, but we have been living together ever since he freed me, and I have long decided to accept Zhang Fei as my man.”

”Balena, you can talk to them first, and I will enter the ruins to meet the Abyssal Leviathan Demon.” Nymor wanted to stop him, but Zhang Fei had already entered an invisible state and left them.

”Does Zhang Fei really know the entrance to the ruins, daughter?” Druka asked as she looked at the distance.

Balena stole a glance at the other demons first before saying to her mother. ”Letʼs go back to our house first, and I will explain things to the two of you.”

”Letʼs go home; you have to tell us everything.”

Since they had been under Mo Xieshenʼs influence for so long before, the other demons still looked confused by their situation. They decided to return to their respective residences, thinking things over.

.

.

.

Zhang Fei had already arrived at the cave that Mei had mentioned earlier, but he wouldnʼt have been able to detect the entrance if it were not for the system and the map, especially since the concealment formation was too high level.

Zhang Fei quickly swam through it until he reached the end, and he immediately arrived at the Sunken Empire. However, his jaw dropped as soon as he saw the place, especially since it still looked majestic. Even though it was now in ruins, he could still see numerous valuable items scattered around, including gold, precious metals, jewelry, and many others.

[Master, there is a low-level water elemental seed in the throne room, but it is guarded by the Abyssal Leviathan Demon, so you have to defeat the demon beast first to be able to take it. However, your chances of defeating it are very slim because it is not an ordinary demon beast but a mythical rank demon beast, and it is much stronger than you.]

Zhang Fei inwardly sighed, summoned the demon extermination sword, and swam towards the throne room directly. When he arrived there, he saw the Abyssal Leviathan Demon already waiting for him.

The Abyssal Leviathan Demon is a colossal, ancient sea beast. Its body is not only large but also extremely long, with midnight blue scales. Its eight serpentine fins are like sharp blades, and its black eyes are like endless black orbs. A crown of horned coral and dark kelp twists upon its head, and its maw can swallow entire warships.

ʼScan the beast, Mei.ʼ

Zhang Fei swallowed his saliva after reading the demon beastʼs status. ʼShit! This guy is the strongest demon beast I have ever met! I would never be able to defeat him if we had to fight underwater.ʼ

”Keep your sword away, kid.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei raised an eyebrow. ”I canʼt do that because you are too strong, and you can kill me easily in this sea.”

”I donʼt want to fight with you, and Iʼm here waiting for your arrival.”

Zhang Fei was even more confused by that. ”Did your late master order you to wait for me here? How did he know I would be coming here?”

”My late master is one of the ten ancient demons in our realm, and he has an ability that no other demon has.”

”Donʼt tell me that your late master has the ability to foresee the future.” Serpentra did not answer Zhang Fei. ”Why did your late master ask you to wait for me?”

”You are the one destined to unite all races, and you will bring peace back to this universe.”

”Honestly, Iʼm sick of hearing about it.” Zhang Fei replied with a soft sigh. ”Many people have said that I am destined to unite all races, but I have never wanted to do that, and I only want a peaceful life for those closest to me.”

”Do you think you can have peace if the universe is not at peace?”

”No.” Zhang Fei answered with a shake of his head.

”Whether you want it or not, you must be a peacemaker for this universe if you want the people on your side to live in peace. Honestly, I have always questioned my late masterʼs words until today, but your fight with the two demons made me realize that you were destined for that. Unfortunately, you are still too weak now, and your path to becoming the peacemaker is tough and steep.”

Zhang Fei nodded to him. ”I know Iʼm still too weak, but I will continue to work hard to become strong, and I will stand at the peak of this universe in the future, surpassing those who have stood at the top since ancient times, like you.”

”Hahaha! I like your spirit, kid. However, talking is easier than doing, and you will face many steep obstacles in achieving your ambition.”

Zhang Fei raised both hands. ”Iʼm still young, and my path is still long, so all possibilities are still available before me. Iʼve only been a cultivator for a little over a year, but Iʼve already reached this stage. By the time I reach your age, I might already be at the pinnacle of this universe.”

”If I hadnʼt witnessed your fight with those two demons, I would say that you were a braggart. However, you were able to defeat them with various cunning means, and your sword was of great help to you because it was created solely for killing demons. In the future, if you go to my realm and fight with the people there, everything you have relied on all this time will be for naught, and you will die in their hands. Therefore, you must prepare yourself as best as possible before you go there, or you will just be a helpless rabbit amidst the siege of powerful people.”

”I appreciate your advice.” Zhang Fei then pointed to the water element seed. ”Since your late master asked you to wait for me, and you yourself know that I am still too weak, I would like to ask for your help.”

”If you want me to be your contract beast, you should forget about your wishes, especially since you are not yet worthy to be my master.”

Zhang Fei shook his head. ”I just want to ask two small favors from you. First, I want to ask for a few drops of your origin bloodline for my wife. Second, I want the water elemental seed above you so I can obtain the water element.”

Serpentera immediately pushed the water elemental seed toward Zhang Fei. ”The seed is useless to me, so you can have it. As for my origin bloodline, I canʼt give it to just anyone.”

”How about you meet my wife first?” Serpentra narrowed his eyes at Zhang Fei. ”Linʼer is much weaker than me, but I can guarantee that her proficiency in the water element is exceptionally high, and you will not regret giving a few drops of your origin bloodline to her.”

”Bring her here.”

Zhang Fei immediately opened the portal to the training space, and Zhang Lin walked out of it a moment later. ”Wow! A giant snake!”

”Little girl, I will eat you alive if you dare call me a snake again! I am Serpentera, the mighty Abyssal Leviathan Demon.”

”Hehe.” Zhang Lin giggled. ”I donʼt mean to look down on you, but itʼs a fact that you are a giant snake.”

Serpenteraʼs face darkened after hearing that, but he immediately ignored it. ”Tch! If you werenʼt his wife, I would have swallowed you alive! Come! Show me your talent in the water element! If I deem you worthy, I will give you a few drops of my origin bloodline.”

”Sure!” Zhang Lin immediately proved her ability in the water element by splitting the seawater in the place in two, and she pushed them to both sides. She then controlled the seawater and created several things from the water, but she then tried to use the effects of the Leviathanʼs tears to command Serpentra.

For a brief moment, Serpentera felt that he was forced to obey Zhang Linʼs command, but the effect immediately disappeared because of his superiority.

”What did you do to me just now?”

”That is one of my abilities.” Serpentera didnʼt seem to believe Zhang Linʼs answer. She then demonstrated her abilities by controlling several small aquatic beasts around them, and they moved based on her command. ”See? As long as they are aquatic beasts, they will obey me. I tried it on you before, but you were too strong for me, so the effect only lasted a split second.”

Serpentera then asked Zhang Fei. ”What did you give her that she could do that?”

”A Leviathanʼs tear.”

”Hmm?”

”I got it from a merchant, and it has been fused with Linʼer, so she can do that kind of thing.”

”I donʼt know how that item can exist in the three mortal realms, but it has the same effect as one of my abilities. Since she can do that, I will give her a few drops of my origin bloodline, and the effect of her abilities will be even more potent.”

”Eh?” Zhang Lin was surprised to hear that. ”Are you really going to give me a few drops of your origin bloodline?”

Serpentera answered Zhang Lin by lifting one of his fins, and a lump of blood appeared on it.

”This blood is my origin bloodline.”

However, Zhang Fei immediately stopped Serpentera. ”Wait a minute! We wonʼt do it that way, and I need some of your body parts to do something else for Linʼer.”
