Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 251: Freeing The Villagers

”It seems that being left in this realm for so long has made you senile, huh?” Zhang Fei [1] asked mockingly as he spread out his light qi, forming a small dome around him. ”My demon rank is indeed not as high as yours, but you and your minions are definitely not a match for my light element.”

”Tch!” Arshila became irritated upon seeing Zhang Fei [1]ʼs light element, which deterred the skeletons and ghosts from approaching him. She hesitated to attack him, particularly after experiencing the intense pain from his kick earlier. ʼI have to find a way to avoid his light power, or I will be the one who suffers the worst.ʼ

Zhang Fei [1] shook his head as Arshila looked around their area. ”Itʼs useless; you wonʼt be able to break through my light protection, or you can try to break through it if youʼre not afraid of death.”

”Heh!” Arshila smirked slightly before she tried to use her soul manipulation on Zhang Fei [1].

[Ding]

[Someone is trying to control the hostʼs soul.]

[Activating special protection on the hostʼs soul.]

ʼOh?ʼ Zhang Fei [1] was surprised by the notification, and he didnʼt expect that the system would also provide such protection for him. ʼHey, Mei, it seems like there are still features in the system that you yourself donʼt know about.ʼ

[Master, my job is only to oversee the system, and there are many things in it that are beyond my control. It seems like the creator has indeed deliberately planted some hidden features that might show themselves, just like when Lan Zhe tried to control you, and also this one.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded slightly before speaking to Arshila. ”Hey! Your soul manipulation doesnʼt work on me, you know?”

”What?” After hearing that, Arshila exclaimed in shock, but she couldnʼt believe it so easily and kept trying to use her soul manipulation on Zhang Fei [1], but her efforts were all in vain. because the system keeps protecting him. ʼDamn it! How could this happen? This is the first time my ability is useless against a low-ranking demon!ʼ

Zhang Fei [1] then used the soul connect to borrow Boitataʼs power, significantly enhancing his strength, before hurling the demon extermination sword into the sky. ”Since youʼre done, Iʼll attack you now.”

*Swoosh*

Instantly, the demon extermination sword glowed white due to Zhang Fei [1]ʼs light element, and it shot straight towards Arshila.

Panicked, Arshila immediately summoned several skeletons in front of her to serve as shields. However, the demon extermination sword immediately slashed them, causing them to break into several pieces.

ʼShit!ʼ Arshila cursed in her heart as she floated away to evade the demon extermination sword, which was eager to kill her. However, the sword continued to pursue her, prompting her to use her dark arts in an attempt to halt it. Unfortunately, her dark arts proved ineffective against Zhang Fei [1]ʼs light element, as two large trees suddenly swung their branches at her, directly striking her body.

”Gah!”

*Slash*

”Argh!” Arshila screamed in pain as the demon extermination sword slashed her back, and a bit of Zhang Fei [1]ʼs light element seeped into her body, causing her to fall to the ground. ”Cough... Cough...” ʼShit! I never imagined that I would be toyed with by a demon weaker than me!ʼ.

ʼHey, do you want to eat this demon?ʼ Boitata responded to Zhang Fei [1]ʼs question by emerging from the beast space in her beast form, and all the fiery eyes on her body glared at Arshila.

Arshila, who was shocked by Boitataʼs appearance, immediately crawled backwards, especially after she saw all the fire eyes on his body. ʼCrap! This beast is too strong! I am no match for her, as her strength should be comparable to that of my lord.ʼ

Arshila then glanced behind her to find a way to escape, but several trees immediately moved to block her path, which shocked her even more. ʼHow can that demon also have the ability to control trees? If I remember correctly, only those tree demons can do such a thing.ʼ

”Ahh!” Arshila screamed in fear as Boitata coiled her tail around her body and clamped her down quite tightly, and she tried to punch her tail repeatedly to free herself. However, her punches only tickled her, and her expression turned horrified as she faced her. ”Let me go!”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [1] laughed and leapt onto Boitataʼs tail, then grabbed Arshilaʼs cheeks. ”Do you think I will let you go after you killed so many humans? Indeed, I am a demon, but I am different from you or the demons in the Netherworld Realm, especially since I am also a human. I do not know those villagers, but they are still my human fellows, so I will avenge their deaths by killing you.”

”No! Donʼt-Mhn!” Arshila was shocked when Zhang Fei [1] kissed her. ʼUgh! This humble demon!ʼ

[You succeeded in mimicking the necromancy of a Lich named Arshila.]

As soon as the notification appeared in his mind, Zhang Fei [1] immediately stopped kissing Arshila and jumped down from Boitataʼs tail. ”You can eat her now.”

”No!” Arshila let out her final cry as Boitata threw her into her mouth, immediately swallowing her alive.

”Yuck! Her flesh is really disgusting, and it tastes like a corpse.” Boitata complained as she returned to her human form.

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [1] laughed upon hearing that, and they turned towards the skeletons that had fallen to the ground after Arshila died, and the ghostly appearance of the villagers was also no longer as ferocious as before. ”Now that the demon is dead, you guys can rest in peace, and I hope that all of you will have a better life after your reincarnation.”

The villagers nodded with a smile at Zhang Fei [1], and they gradually vanished from his sight, causing him to exhale in relief before reverting back to his human form. In addition, he deactivated the soul connect, and his cultivation immediately returned to its original level.

”Return!” Hearing that, the demon extermination sword flew towards Zhang Fei [1] before entering his forehead and turning into a tattoo again.

Then Boitata questioned Zhang Fei [1]. ”Hey, husband! Do you intend to take any more missions after this?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [1] nodded in response, instructing Mei to open a portal to the training space, after which he took the six unconscious women out. ”I plan to take on a few more missions later, especially since I still need a lot of sect points to buy some items. Anyway, go inside and continue the seclusion with my real body.”

Boitata said nothing and entered the training space, and Mei immediately closed the portal. Afterwards, Zhang Fei [1] channeled his light qi into the bodies of the six women to wake them up.

Before long, they started to open their eyes, but they immediately jumped to their feet and observed their surroundings with vigilance, making Zhang Fei [1] laugh at their antics. ”All right, you guys can relax now because Iʼve gotten rid of that female demon, so this area is safe now, but we wonʼt get any points from this mission.”

However, their expressions turned gloomy, particularly as they struggled to recall the events that followed Arshilaʼs manipulation of their souls, prompting Mu Lingshu to question Zhang Fei [1]. ”What happened to us? Why are we unconscious?”

Zhang Fei [1] let out a soft sigh before answering Mu Lingshuʼs question. ”You donʼt have to think about it, okay? I already knew about that female demonʼs ability to manipulate souls, so I was prepared from the start, and your attacks didnʼt hurt me. Anyway, Iʼll send you all back to the sect now so you can rest for the day, and weʼll report on those missions tomorrow.”

After they agreed, Zhang Fei [1] immediately created a portal that connected them to the Yin-Yang Pavilion, surprising Mu Lingshu. Without questioning him, she followed the other women back to their sect. After closing the portal, he sat cross-legged on the ground, his gaze fixed on the scattered skeletons before him.

[Do you intend to use necromancy on those skeletons, Master?]

”At first, I did want to do it, but I thought they would be useless to me, so I wonʼt waste my time on them.” Zhang Fei [1] considered several options before asking Mei. ”Which beast techniques do you think are useful for me now?”

[Most of the beast techniques in the system shop are related to the light element, and they are very useful for you to deal with demons, master. However, I would suggest you buy the light shield for defense and the exorcismus for offense.]

”Hmm?” After hearing that, Zhang Fei [1] raised his eyebrows, particularly considering that he could protect himself with light qi and didnʼt believe he needed the light shield. However, the exorcismus piqued his interest, but he ultimately decided to buy both. ”Buy both, then.”

[All right.]

{You got Light Shield Ability x1}

{5,000 lower-grade beast cores have been deducted from your balance}

{You got Exorcismus Ability x1}

{200,000 beast essences have been deducted from your balance}

”Sigh! An advanced ability is truly expensive.” Zhang Fei [1] said with a bitter smile before reading the two abilities.

[Light Shield: This ability has three levels, and each level will add one more shield.]

[Exorcismus: This ability is an AOE attack, and its attack range is 10 meters away from the user.]

”Three shields, huh?” Zhang Fei [1] muttered before trying to use the light shield, and three white shields instantly appeared around him, circling him. ”Hmm? Do you think these three shields can withstand the attack of the black Amaris?”

[Iʼm not sure about that, Master. It would be better if you tried it yourself.]

”God damn it, Mei! Youʼll kill me if these three shields canʼt block her attack!” Mei responded to Zhang Fei [1] with a laugh, causing him to sigh helplessly, and he then tried to use the exorcismus.

*Swoosh*

A white light suddenly shot out from Zhang Fei [1]ʼs body towards the sky, and it quickly spread out and formed a huge light formation. He gazed upwards, scrutinizing the light formation intently, before activating it.

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

Instantly, countless white lights rained down on the area under the formation, brightening it for a while before disappearing.

Zhang Fei [1] released a low sigh afterward. ”Unfortunately, there are no demons in this area that can be used to test the power of this ability, so I donʼt know for sure about its attack power against demons. However, this ability is an advanced ability, so its attack power shouldnʼt be small, right?”

[Well, thatʼs true. Furthermore, the exorcismus abilityʼs power will continue to increase with your evolution, so Iʼm sure it will have a significant impact on demons. However, its current power might not be enough to kill a demon like the Amaris Twins, let alone kill a demon like Oz.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in understanding before closing his eyes to complete the daily quest while waiting for morning, and he planned to meet Chu Xing afterward.

Meanwhile, two women hurriedly entered a room in the Yin-Yang Pavilion, and one of them immediately reported to the man who was enjoying a blowjob from another woman. ”Brother Ruhui, those five women just returned to our sect, but I donʼt see Zhang Fei [1] among them.”

”Oh?” Du Ruhui immediately looked at the two women. ”Where are they now, Ba Xiu and Fei Xuan?”

Fei Xuan immediately answered him. ”Theyʼre in the inner disciple area now, brother. Do you want us to do something to them?”

After giving it some thought, Du Ruhui threw two items to the two women, who immediately caught them. He then explained the itemsʼ purposes to them. ”You two can now return to the inner disciples area and find an opportunity to use those items on those five women.”

”Yes, Brother.”

After they left, Han Xuenai asked Du Ruhui. ”What exactly are your plans for those five women? What kind of items did you give them just now? Are you going to snatch them away from Zhang Fei [1]?”

”Haha.” Instead, Du Ruhui laughed as he pressed Han Xuenaiʼs head down to suck his dick again. ”You donʼt need to ask anything and wait for the results.”
