Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 291: Two Clansʼ Dispute

Du Ruhui looked frustrated in his room, especially since Zhang Fei ordered him to mix his pills into his clanʼs water source and food supplies. However, he still couldnʼt do it because his family kept coming to him one by one for the past two days, especially his mother.

Du Ruhui himself did not want to do that, but Zhang Feiʼs demon slave mark had already been planted in his soul, so his order was absolute, and he could not refuse it. ʼDamn it! All this happened because of Tu Liʼs stupidity and Xuenaiʼs betrayal! Otherwise, I wouldnʼt have suffered this fate, and that bastard even ordered me to harm my own family.ʼ

After waiting for a considerable amount of time, Du Ruhui could no longer hear the people in his clan wandering around, indicating that they had all returned to their respective rooms to rest, especially since it was already midnight. Therefore, he immediately left his room and headed to the drinking water source behind his clan.

Upon his arrival, Du Ruhui immediately took out Zhang Feiʼs pills, crushed them into powder, and scattered them into the water. After that, he immediately went to his clanʼs kitchen, which was located nearby, and sprinkled the powders into their food supplies.

After he had done everything, Du Ruhui returned to his room with a heavy heart, especially since Zhang Fei had also ordered him to experience the effects of the pills himself.

Furthermore, Zhang Fei did not tell him about the pillsʼ effects, but Du Ruhui was completely certain that they would be extremely deadly, especially since he obtained them from Pang Hong and Pang Gui, who were clearly members of the heretic clan. ʼDamn it! What will happen to us after this? Will the effects of his pills cause us to die?ʼ

Shen Xueyi gathered her loyalists in a special location under the protection of a powerful formation, particularly because they were having serious discussion about finalizing their plans to eliminate Shen Haoran and the others.

Some of them kept glancing at Shen Xueyi with strange looks, particularly after sensing Zhang Feiʼs yang qi in her body and realizing that she had become his partner. However, they were also confused by that because they had never seen the two of them together before, except for one person, Lin Hao.

After they all reported everything to her, Shen Xueyi told them directly. ”Their wedding will take place in five days, and we must ensure that we wipe them out by the roots to prevent any future troubles.”

”Mistress Shen, I received some unusual news before, but I feel that the incident is really strange.” Shen Xueyi and the others quickly turned to Min Ren, who promptly informed them of the news. ”Previously, Hong Xuan contacted me and asked about Zhang Fei, and she suspected that he killed Ying Xiao around our sect.

However, I told her that he had left the sect three weeks ago and had not returned yet, so I thought it was impossible that he killed him.”

Shen Xueyi was quite surprised to hear that, but she didnʼt show any reaction, especially since only a few of them knew that Zhang Fei had returned before.

The three old men, Shen Yang, Shen Hao, and Lin Hao, who knew about Zhang Feiʼs return, also did not show any reaction and waited for Shen Xueyiʼs reaction.

Shen Xueyi then asked Min Ren again. ”Have you asked Hong Xuan about the details of the incident?”

”Yes.” Min Ren then relayed to them the information he received from Hong Xuan, a revelation that shocked them all because of its connection to their archenemy. ”Since Ying Xiao died and no one could find his corpse, Chu Youqianʼs letter never reached Shen Haoran.”

Upon hearing that, Shen Xueyi and the others let out a sigh of relief, especially since their plan would fall apart if Shen Haoran found out about Shen Yuʼs relationship with Zhang Fei.

Just like Shen Xueyi, the three old men were also certain that Zhang Fei was the one who killed Ying Xiao. ”Then what about Chu Youqianʼs condition?”

Chu Youqian, according to Hong Xuan, contracted a strange disease that covered her body in purulent carbuncles and emanated a pungent odor.

Moreover, she experienced constant itching throughout her body, causing her body to be covered by scratch wounds as well.” Shen Xueyi and the others raised their eyebrows after hearing Min Renʼs answer, and they guessed that it was Zhang Fei who had done that to her.

”Anyway, I can confirm that the news is accurate, and multiple healers in the Duan Clan are treating her, particularly considering that her aunt, Chu Guangxi, is Duan Lingʼs wife.”

”I see.” Shen Xueyi nodded in understanding before speaking to them. ”All right, we donʼt need to bother with their affairs, and we just need to focus on our plans. You guys can go back now, and we will execute our plans in five days.”

”Yes, Mistress.”

After that, most of them immediately left the room, but four of them stayed there, especially since they were curious about the existence of Zhang Feiʼs yang qi inside Shen Xueyiʼs body.

Shen Yang asked Shen Xueyi directly. ”Cousin, when did you dual-cultivate with Zhang Fei?”

ʼTch! I figured theyʼd ask that.ʼ Shen Xueyi then responded to Shen Yang. ”Two days ago, Yuʼer also agreed to our relationship.”

”Huh!?” Following that, the three women let out soft cries, and Yan Luanʼer asked Shen Xueyi. ”Did Zhang Fei really return to the sect two days ago?”

”He did return two days ago, and I dual-cultivated with him after he did something to Lan Zhen and Du Ruhui.” Shen Yang and the three women were intrigued by his actions towards the two people, but Shen Xueyi was unable to reveal to them that he had transformed the woman into a beast due to its connection to his secret.

”He used his enslavement technique on that Du brat, and he intended to use it to destroy the Du Clan from within, which should have begun by now.”

”Zhang Fei is always like that.” Shi Yue made this statement while shaking her head. ”He can be very kind to people who are nice to him, but he will be a nightmare to those who are his enemies. Du Ruhui will undoubtedly suffer greatly for destroying his own clan, and he will likely commit suicide afterwards.”

Xi Zihua then spoke to them. ”At first, I couldnʼt believe that Zhang Fei killed Ying Xiao, especially since I knew that he left the sect a long time ago. However, I am now convinced that he indeed killed him, and he must also have caused Chu Youqianʼs suffering.

In addition to them, he was also responsible for the strange behavior of Shen Tianyu and Shen Shixi, especially considering that all three of us had already experienced the effects of his abilities, and those two continued to behave like lustful beasts.”

”Haha.” Shen Yang laughed upon hearing the words of the two women. ”Despite his cultivation still being in the soul realm, Zhang Fei is indeed terrifying. If it werenʼt for my cousin, Old Hao and I wouldnʼt have realized that he had brought Yuʼer back to her seclusion room.

This is due to his ability to conceal his aura and presence so thoroughly, a feat that even senior cultivators like us find challenging, and we can only accomplish it with the aid of artifacts.”

”So, where is Zhang Fei now? Why didnʼt he meet the three of us?” Yan Luanʼer asked as she pointed at Xi Zihua and Shi Yue.

”I donʼt know.” Shen Xueyi answered with a shake of her head. ”After he left my room two days ago, Zhang Fei went straight to Yuʼerʼs room and accompanied her for quite a while. However, he left immediately after Shen Haoran noticed the strangeness of Shen Tianyu and Shen Shixi, so I thought he had returned to the western region by now.

Anyway, he told me that he would come to the wedding, especially since he will help us to clean them up, so you three can meet him on that day.”

The three women nodded in understanding to Shen Xueyi, and they immediately left the room after discussing some other matters.

Meanwhile, Ying Feng had returned to his clan and conversed with his family. Hong Xuan was also present, but his anger escalated when they revealed the origin of the issue that led to his sonʼs death.

After that, Ying Feng gathered several powerful cultivators from his clan and led them to the Duan Clan to settle accounts with Chu Youqian, prompting the three women to follow him immediately.

Since the distance between the two clans was not too far, Ying Feng and the others were able to arrive at the Duan Clan quickly, and he immediately broke down the gate of the clan residence. ”Duan Ling! Chu Guangxi! Leave Chu Youqian to me! Otherwise, I will raze this clan to the ground, and I will kill all your clan members!”

Upon hearing Ying Fengʼs angry shout, Duan Ling and Chu Guangxi hurried to meet him. However, their immediate reaction upon seeing the members of the Ying Clan was a frown, especially considering their strength was greater than that of their own clan.

”What do you mean by this? Why did you bring so many people into my clan at this hour?” Duan Ling then sent a voice transmission for the people in his clan to gather, and he also activated his cultivation to be on alert, especially since Yin Feng appeared so furious.

Chu Guangxi also did the same thing as her husband, and she activated her cultivation while holding the bracelet on her right hand, which was a protective artifact. ”What exactly happened, Sister Meiʼer? Why is your husband so angry?”

Instead, Sun Meiʼer turned to Yin Feng, who had already drawn his spear, and pointed it towards them. He had also released his cultivation, as had his subordinates. ”I wonʼt repeat my words again! Hand Chu Youqian over to me right now, or you guys will die today.”

After he heard Ying Fengʼs threat, Duan Lingʼs face darkened, and he also took out his sword in response to his threat. ”I know you are stronger than me, but that doesnʼt mean I will surrender to you just like that, and I will still fight you to my last breath.

Moreover, you forget that my father-in-law is Chu Liuxiang, and he will definitely take revenge for our deaths by destroying your Ying Clan.”

Hearing that name come out of Duan Lingʼs mouth, Ying Fengʼs spirit wavered, especially since Chu Liuxiang and his Chu Clans were stronger than him and his Ying Clan.

Sun Meiʼer naturally noticed the change in her husband, so she sighed softly before speaking to Duan Ling and Chu Guangxi. ”Our son is dead, and the one who caused his death is Chu Youqian.”

”What?” Duan Ling and Chu Guangxi screamed in shock after hearing Sun Meiʼerʼs answer, but the people from the Duan Clan had quickly stood behind them, so she immediately signaled them to hold back. ”Meiʼer, what do you mean by that? How could Youqian possibly cause your sonʼs death?”

”Uncle Duan, have you forgotten that it was my mother who informed you of Chu Youqianʼs condition yesterday?” Duan Ling naturally did not forget that, so he nodded to Ying Sha. ”Before my mother knocked her unconscious, she had already told us everything, but she deliberately made up a false story for us, and we have already confirmed everything with several people.”

After that, Ying Sha explained everything in detail about the information she got from Wei Luan and Chu Xing yesterday, and Hong Xuan also told them about her conversation with Min Ren regarding Zhang Fei.

After hearing all that, the two people were shocked and confused at the same time, especially since they did not know Zhang Fei and had never heard of his relationship with Chu Ying and Chu Qing.

However, Duan Ling did not believe the two womenʼs explanations, so he turned to his wife. ”Wife, you can contact Chu Xing now and ask her as much detail as possible about this matter, and I will contact Liu Qingyu to confirm the relationship between her two daughters and the man named Zhang Fei.”

”All right.” Chu Guangxi nodded in agreement and contacted Chu Xing directly, and Duan Ling directly contacted Liu Qingyu, but she told him that she would come to his clan directly, which surprised him, especially since he thought that she should be in the western region.

But alas, Duan Ling didnʼt know anything about Zhang Fei, and he had already sent Liu Hua to install the teleportation device in the Liu Clan some time ago, so they could travel back and forth between the western and southern regions very easily.

In less than five minutes, Liu Qingyu and Liu Hua had arrived at the Duan Clan, but they were a little surprised to see people from the Ying Clan there as well, especially since Zhang Fei had not told them about his problems with Ying Xiao and Chu Youqian.

Liu Hua then questioned Duan Ling. ”Whatʼs really going on here? Why do you want to know about my husband?”
