Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 275: Zhang Linʼs Beast Contract

”Is that beast really a hippocampus, big brother?” Zhang Lin asked with a look of excitement.

”Yes.” Zhang Fei nodded to his little sister. ”There are four beasts left here: Jie Yuan, the golden monkey who has become Qingʼerʼs contract beast; a wind weasel in Japan; the hippocampus, hiding at the bottom of this ocean; and the fourth is a Thunderbird, living in Amazon Forest.”

”Wind weasel and thunder bird?” Once again, Zhang Fei nodded to Zhang Lin. ”Are you going to catch those two, too? If I remember correctly, Big Sis Ziqin has the wind element, and Big Sis Yan has the lightning element, right? So I think those two beasts will be the right partners for them.”

”Yes, I will also capture both of the beasts. However, I wonʼt do it now because I have other matters.” Zhang Fei then turned to Shen Yu. ”Please help me catch the hippocampus, Yuʼer.”

”All right.” Shen Yu immediately jumped towards the ocean, transformed into her beast form, and quickly dove towards the bottom of the ocean.

Seeing that, Zhang Lin became even more excited, and she couldnʼt wait for Shen Yu to bring the beast out from the bottom of the ocean as she clasped her hands together.

”Haha, youʼre so impatient to ride a hippocampus, huh?” Zhang Fei said as he gently rubbed Zhang Linʼs head. ”Anyway, Iʼll take you to the Hidden Sea Palace after this, especially since the disciple registration has already started, and I hope you can train better under the guidance of the Hai Twins.

Moreover, Chu Xing is also in the sect, and she will help you adapt to the environment in the sect, so I think you wonʼt have any trouble with that.”

”Yes.” Zhang Lin replied with a nod before hugging Zhang Fei. ”You donʼt have to worry about me, Big Brother. I will definitely train well in the Hidden Sea Palace, and I will also make many new friends, especially since all the disciples of that sect are women, so I will have no trouble blending in with them.”

”Thatʼs good.” Suddenly, Zhang Fei remembered something and asked Mei directly. ʼIs there anything that Linʼer can use to accommodate the hippocampus? She will be living far away from me, so I canʼt possibly put the beast in my beast space, and I want the beast to always be by her side to protect her.ʼ

[Master, thatʼs an easy matter; Iʼve already prepared it, so Iʼll buy it now.]

{Ding}

{You got Interspatial Beast Medallion x1}

{10,000,000 has been deducted from your balance}

Zhang Fei promptly took the item from the system inventory before handing it to Zhang Lin, who immediately bit her finger and dripped her blood on it. He then explained to his little sister how to use the medallion, which made her happy. ”This way, you can take the beast with you, so it can protect you when Iʼm not by your side.”

”Haha.” Zhang Lin laughed softly and kissed Zhang Feiʼs lips directly. ”Thank you, Big Brother. I wonʼt lock the beast in this medallion, and I hope to release it into the sect so it can live freely.”

Zhang Fei nodded in agreement with that, especially since beasts were still living creatures and needed their freedom, or they would feel stressed if they continued living in captivity.

After they waited for some time, Shen Yu finally returned to the surface, and they saw the hippocampus continuing to struggle in her mouth.

ʼScan the beast, Mei.ʼ

Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows slightly after he read Hai Maʼs status and muttered in his heart. ʼCore rank beast with cultivation at the 10-Star Core Realm, huh? Even though itʼs not as powerful as a quasi-divine beast like Jie Yuan, I believe itʼs acceptable, especially since I can provide her with the necessary beast pills to transform into a divine beast later on.

Mei, you can buy those beast pills.ʼ

[Yes, Master.]

{You got Beast Body Tempering Pill x1}

{100 Lower Grade Beast Cores have been deducted from your balance}

{You got Beast Talent Pill x1}

{50 Intermediate Grade Beast Cores have been deducted from your balance}

{You got Beast Advancement Pill x1}

{10 Advanced Grade Beast Cores have been deducted from your balance}

Zhang Fei spoke in his heart before he brought Zhang Lin to float in front of Shen Yu, and he used his heavenly fox bloodline to apply a little pressure to the hippocampus.

Sensing that, Hai Ma immediately looked up at Zhang Fei, her body trembling even more. He then took out the three beast pills and showed them to her, and he also spoke to her through telepathy. ʼI know that you have never harmed humans, but I want you to be my little sisterʼs beast contract, so I asked my wife to bring you to me.

Anyway, we live in a realm far away from this planet, where you can continue your cultivation. Aside from that, these three pills are beneficial for a beast like you, and if you swallow them, they will strengthen you. However, I will only give them to you if you are willing to fulfill my request.ʼ

Hai Ma seemed interested in the three pills and continued her cultivation, but she felt reluctant to become a contract beast of a human, whom she did not even know before.

Zhang Fei let out a soft sigh before coaxing Hai Ma again. ʼDonʼt you feel lonely staying on this planet? Since your cultivation canʼt improve, you will die one day, and you will die a lonely death. If you become my little sisterʼs beast contract, I will take you with us to that realm, and you will meet many other beasts living with us there.

Moreover, we will not treat you badly, especially since I am a beast myself, and you can still live freely even if you become her contract beast.ʼ

ʼCan I really still live freely in the ocean, like on this planet?ʼ Hai Ma finally asked Zhang Fei.

ʼYes.ʼ Zhang Fei replied with a nod. ʼMy little sister will join the Hidden Sea Palace in that realm, and that sect is located in the sea, so you can live there with her, and you can enjoy your new life in the sea there.ʼ

After hearing that, Hai Ma fell into deep thought, but her eyes repeatedly moved between Zhang Lin and the three pills as her mind considered the pros and cons of Zhang Feiʼs offer. In the end, she chose to accept it, especially since she herself felt so lonely living in the Pacific Ocean alone, and all the aquatic creatures there couldnʼt understand her.

ʼAll right, I agree to be her beast contract.ʼ

After Hai Ma gave her response, Zhang Fei felt satisfied. He then assisted Zhang Lin in making a contract with the hippocampus, which led to the appearance of a seahorse tattoo on her forehead.

As promised, Zhang Fei gave the three beast pills to Hai Ma, who immediately swallowed them with joy. He then asked Zhang Lin to send her contract beast into the medallion, and Shen Yu immediately came out of the sea before returning to her human form.

After all was done, Zhang Fei brought them back to the Sky Jade Realm, and he then took them to the southern region using his warp portal. However, they did not go to the Yin-Yang Pavilion, and he took them to the southern ocean instead.

Upon their arrival, Zhang Fei immediately took out the token that Hai Dongxin had given him a few weeks ago, and he immediately injected his qi into it to activate it.

They didnʼt have to wait long because the Hai Twins had already arrived in front of them a few minutes ago, but their expressions were slightly surprised after they checked Zhang Linʼs cultivation, which had already broken through to the 1-Star Core realm.

However, the Hai Twins were slightly surprised by Shen Yuʼs presence with them, especially since they had already received her wedding invitation a week ago. Even so, they did not say anything about it, especially since it was none of their business.

”Linʼer, these are Hai Dongxin and Hai Dongyin, and they will be the ones to guide you during your stay in their sect.” Zhang Fei spoke as he pushed his sister forward.

Zhang Lin immediately bowed slightly to the Hai Twins. ”Elders, please take care of me.”

”All right, you donʼt need to be like this.” Hai Dongyin spoke as she lifted Zhang Linʼs head. ”A few weeks ago, your brother informed me that your cultivation was still at the 10-Star Foundation Realm. However, your cultivation has now advanced to the 1-Star Core Realm, and you are only 17 years old.

Although dual cultivators can improve their cultivation quickly, none of them can match the cultivation speed of the two of you, which means you are truly a genius.”

”Hehe.” Zhang Lin laughed softly after hearing Hai Dongyinʼs praise.

Hai Dongxin then gave a token to Zhang Lin, which is her identity as a disciple of the Hidden Sea Palace. ”This way, you can directly become an inner disciple, and you donʼt need to go through a series of entrance tests, especially since you will be training directly under us.

However, we might transfer you to our big sister, but she is in the demon cave right now, so we will do it after she comes back.”

”Yes, Elders.” Zhang Lin then turned to Zhang Fei. ”Are you going to the Yin-Yang Pavilion, big brother?”

”Yuʼer has been away from her place for a month, so Iʼll send her back there, or those people will be suspicious of her.” Zhang Fei responded, embracing Shen Yuʼs waist, before turning his gaze to the Hai Twins. ”I leave my little sister with you two, and I hope you can help her grow faster as a cultivator.”

”Donʼt worry, we will guide Linʼer as best as we can.” The Hai Twins answered in unison and nodded.

Following that, Zhang Fei briefly kissed his little sister before escorting Shen Yu to leave the premises, and the twins promptly brought Zhang Lin into their sect.

However, the situation in the sect was very lively, especially since there were so many prospective disciples who were registering to join the sect, and their internal competition had not finished yet.

The Hai Twins then took Zhang Lin to look around the area inside the sect, including the training area used for their competition. There, she saw Chu Xing fighting with a female disciple who was slightly older than her.

Zhang Lin could see that Chu Xing had the upper hand over her senior, especially since she had already had a hard time practicing at two times gravity some time ago. Although she still couldnʼt fully adapt, it had helped her a lot in surpassing her opponentʼs speed.

In the end, Chu Xing managed to win their fight, and she jumped up and down in celebration, but her opponent looked disappointed by her defeat.

Chu Xing suddenly looked at the three women, and she immediately waved her hands while shouting. ”Linʼer! Iʼve been waiting for you for so long! Youʼve finally joined the sect!”

After hearing that, the other disciples glanced at the three women, but the senior disciples were genuinely taken aback by Zhang Linʼs cultivation, which was already so high despite her youthful appearance.

Chu Xing immediately floated and landed in front of them, grabbing Zhang Linʼs hand before introducing her to her sect sisters. ”Her name is Zhang Lin, and she is my sister-in-law, so I hope you all donʼt harass her, okay?”

”Which of your sisters is married, Xingʼer?” A female disciple in her early thirties, with long blue hair, asked in disbelief, particularly because she knew Chu Ying and Chu Qing well but had never heard of their marriage.

The woman has quite an alluring face with wide black eyes, and her curvaceous body is perfectly wrapped in their sect uniform, combined with DD-Cup breasts and plump buttocks.

”Haha.” Chu Xing laughed upon hearing that. ”Senior Sister Yue Lanxin! Big Sis Ying and Qingʼer have already married, and they are married to Linʼerʼs big brother.”

”What?” Not only Yue Lanxin screamed in shock after hearing that, but several other disciples also did the same. After all, the Chu Clan was one of the major clans in the western region, but two out of three of their descendants were married to the same man, which they thought was simply ridiculous.

”You guys have never met Zhang Fei, so you must be shocked by that.” They immediately turned to Wei Luan, who was standing behind them. ”I met him a few weeks ago, and he is indeed an extraordinary cultivator, so you donʼt need to be surprised about their relationship. Moreover, he was the one who exposed You Hanʼs affair with my ex-fiancé, or I will definitely suffer.”

Yue Lanxin and the others let out a heavy sigh after hearing that, and they tried to comfort Wei Luan. On the other hand, Chu Xing immediately pulled Zhang Lin away with her, and she took her sister-in-law to go find her new residence.
