Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 268: The Soul Realm

”Anyway, what do you guys think about Zhang Feiʼs breakthrough this time?” The Liu Sisters and Boitata immediately looked at Shen Yu. ”He must form his cultivation soul in order to break through to the soul realm, but I have little doubt that he can do it. He is different from us because he has four elements and three different forms, all of which are real.

Since I am a beast myself, I have some understanding of how beasts break through, and itʼs not too different from humans. However, I donʼt know how demons break through, so I am worried that he will fail.”

Upon hearing that, the three womenʼs expressions became serious, particularly due to their lack of knowledge about how demon cultivators form their cultivation souls.

They then turned to Lillea and Janette, who were waiting in the distance, but they let out a heavy sigh, especially since the cultivation of the two female demons was still far from the soul realm, so they couldnʼt possibly tell them about it.

Liu Hua then looked at Zhang Fei again before speaking to them. ”Although we donʼt know anything about the demonsʼ breakthrough, our husband is smart enough.

When he broke through to the core realm, we didnʼt even teach him how to form his cultivation core, but he managed to form three cores with his own ability, and he even has four cores now, so I am sure that he will also succeed in forming his cultivation soul without any significant difficulties.”

”I agree with you.” Boitata replied with a nod. ”However, I am curious about his cultivation soul—whether it will take the form of his human form, beast form, or demon form.”

Liu Qingyu shook her head upon hearing Boitataʼs words. ”We donʼt have to wonder, and we will know the result soon. Perhaps he will give us another surprise, and I canʼt wait to see it.”

After that, the four women stayed silent and waited patiently, particularly because Zhang Fei appeared so calm, giving them confidence that he would not encounter any obstacles in forming his cultivation soul.

Zhang Chen and the other women waiting at the side of the training room also looked tense and impatient waiting for Zhang Feiʼs breakthrough, but they had full confidence in him and were sure that he would be able to get through everything smoothly.

Zhang Fei had sealed all his senses, making it impossible for him to hear their conversation. His mind was solely focused on adhering to Meiʼs instructions on how to form his cultivation soul. ʼIʼll do it now.ʼ

[Master, do it slowly, lest you suffer a backlash if you fail to form your cultivation soul, and your cultivation may regress.]

ʼYeah.ʼ Zhang Fei then focused his mind completely to begin forming his cultivation soul, and his four cultivation cores immediately emerged from his body before encircling him, surprising Liu Hua and the others, especially since they were continuously absorbing qi from the air, which caused the four cores to glow according to their respective elements: fire, light, darkness, and wind.

After they waited for some time, they suddenly saw something that shocked them, especially since three transparent figures appeared behind Zhang Fei. One figure was of himself as a human; another figure was an adult white fox with four tails dancing behind it; and the last figure was his incubus form.

Shen Yu and the others raised their eyebrows upon seeing the three figures, and their realization of their husbandsʼ intentions prompted them to exchange shocked glances. However, they immediately smiled, particularly because, if he truly succeeded, he would become the first cultivator to possess three cultivation souls, and his soul would be significantly stronger than that of other cultivators.

The three figures also absorbed qi from the air to solidify their forms, and their absorption rate kept increasing as time went by, making their figures more solid and much clearer in their eyes.

As the minutes passed, Boitata and the others became more and more impatient to wait for Zhang Fei to complete his breakthrough, especially since the three figures behind him were already rock solid. However, they had not felt any signs that he had broken through to the soul realm, and his cultivation was still at the 10-Star Core Realm, which made them feel strange about it.

What followed left them even more perplexed, particularly with Zhang Feiʼs fox and incubus figures, which started to merge with his human form and eventually merged completely.

The merged form of Zhang Feiʼs three souls left them in a state of shock, particularly as his soul retained a human appearance. However, his hands and feet changed into fox claws, and white fur adorned his body, giving him a demihuman appearance. Furthermore, he had two black horns on his head, as well as two fairly large black wings on his back.

However, his tails were a bit strange to them, especially since his tails were incubus tails, but he had four tails like his fox form.

*Swoosh*

Zhang Fei suddenly released a powerful qi wave that swept across the entire training space, and a notification instantly appeared in his mind.

[Congratulations! Your cultivation broke through to 1 Star Soul Realm.]

Liu Hua and the others finally felt a sense of relief as Zhang Fei successfully entered the soul realm, and his four cultivation cores returned to his body. However, they were once again shocked when his soul split into three, aligning with his three forms, and all three immediately entered his body, signifying the completion of his breakthrough.

After that, Zhang Fei released the seal on his senses before opening his eyes with a sigh of relief, and he looked at the four women around him with a satisfied smile. ”Finally, I reached the soul realm, but this is not over yet, and I have to reach the earth realm as soon as possible.”

Hearing Zhang Feiʼs words, Liu Qingyu and the others were taken aback, particularly because of his remarkable cultivation progress. He was able to reach the soul realm in less than two months, a feat that other cultivators would never achieve.

However, he was still not satisfied with that, and he set a higher target straight away, but they themselves realized that they were no different from him, and they immediately thought about the next major stage every time they finished a breakthrough.

Liu Hua then spoke to her husband. ”I understand your desire to become stronger, but you have to stabilize your cultivation souls first, especially since you are the only cultivator with three cultivation souls, and it will be difficult for you to stabilize all three at the same time. Thatʼs why you have to stabilize them one by one, and you also have to continue to strengthen each of your souls.”

”Yes, youʼre right about that, and Iʼve been planning it as well. For the time being, weʼll stay inside here to continue our training, and Iʼll also assist you all with my yang qi while I stabilize my three souls.” Zhang Fei then clenched both his fists.

”The difference between the core realm and the soul realm is quite significant, and I should be able to fight against cultivators who are in the middle stages of the soul realm now. Regrettably, my body technique has not yet advanced to the third stage, and I may need to advance to the earth realm first for that to happen.”

”Itʼs okay, Fei. Donʼt rush things—it could harm you if something undesirable happens.” Zhang Fei immediately turned to Shen Yu and nodded to her, and she then told him. ”We have been here for three weeks, and my wedding with Shen Tianyu is in two weeks, so I must return before then.”

”Two weeks, huh?” Zhang Fei muttered to himself. ”In that case, we should continue our training now, and we will get rid of Shen Haoran and Shen Tianyu at that time. Furthermore, my clone has already eliminated ten of their loyalists, and your mother has also made preparations to eliminate them.

However, it would be better if your grandmother and great-grandmother joined us, so our chances of getting rid of them once for all will be greater.”

Shen Yu nodded in agreement. ”Since my mother has already planned some things for them, I believe that her loyal followers must have come out of their seclusion by now. As for my grandmother and great-grandmother, they must also have prepared for that day, so we will attack them directly on my wedding day with Shen Tianyu.”

”Hehehe.” Boitata suddenly laughed and hugged Zhang Fei. ”You still have me, husband. I will assist you in fighting those sea serpents, and if they dare to oppose your marriage to Yuʼer, I will devour them all alive.

”Count me in, Feiʼer.” Liu Hua said to him. ”I will go to the Liu Clan, and I will bring people from my clan to help you.”

ʼHey, Mei! Buy another teleportation device.ʼ

[Yes.]

{You got Teleportation Device x1}

{10,000,000 has been deducted from your balance}

Zhang Fei then took the item from the system inventory before handing it to Liu Hua, and he explained its function to her, making Liu Qingyu and the Chu Sisters also feel excited about it, especially since they could travel back and forth between the two clans easily if they used it.

”However, you donʼt have to go there by yourself, Huaʼer.

I will use my other abilities to send you to the Yin-Yang Pavilion later, so you can arrive directly in the southern region, but we will do so after we get out of our seclusion.” Liu Hua nodded in agreement with Zhang Fei, and she gave one part of the teleportation device to Liu Qingyu, so she could place it in the Chu Clan, and she would place the other one in the Liu Clan later.

”Letʼs continue our training, and we will go out in a week.”

”Yes!”

While Zhang Fei and the others continued their seclusion, his second clone, Feltia, was busy fighting with many beasts, especially since she had a daily quest to kill 180 demon beasts. However, three other demons—Fyr, Leora, and Eve—assisted Feltia in her fight.

As for Tessa, she still did not like Feltia, so she felt too lazy to help her. Additionally, they were not far from their location, so she decided to move there first, leaving the four of them behind.

[You have killed 180 demons, with 0 remaining.]

[Ding]

[Daily Quest: Killing 180 Demons.]

[Status: Done.]

[Reward: 18,000 female essences are added to the balance.]

”Phew.” Feltia let out a sigh of relief after the quest ended, and she immediately collected all the demon cores lying on the ground before storing them in the system inventory.

[You obtained 80 normal demon cores.]

Feltia let out a soft sigh at the notification, especially since not all the beasts she killed had demon cores, and she immediately opened her map to search for Tessaʼs location. Instantly, a faint smile appeared on her face once she found her, especially since there was a large red dot on her destination. ʼOh? A lava behemoth, and its demon rank is at Earl Rank. Hey! This is my chance!

Iʼm sure that demon beast will do something to her, but I hope she doesnʼt die by its hands, or I will lose a source of female essence.ʼ ”Do you guys want to continue our journey right now? After all, that faun has already left earlier, and she might be in danger if sheʼs alone there.”

”Tch! Let her be!” Leora said it in an angry tone. ”We were busy fighting these beasts, but she just left us, so I donʼt care about her anymore.”

Eve nodded in agreement with Leora before answering Feltia. ”I know that she doesnʼt like you, but she shouldnʼt have acted unprofessionally like that, especially since weʼre a team. Thatʼs why I want to teach her a lesson for leaving us behind, and I hope she can change after that.”

”Letʼs find a place to rest first, especially since the beasts we fought earlier were too many.” Fyr then hugged Feltiaʼs arm while winking at her. ”Since Tessa isnʼt with us right now, this is our chance to have some fun, right?”

”Haha.” Upon hearing that, Feltia laughed and hugged Fyrʼs waist before posing a question to the other two female demons. ”Do you both want to have fun with us?”

Leora responded to Feltiaʼs question by jumping onto her back before nibbling her ear. ”Naturally, I also want to have fun with you, and you have to help me with your succubi abilities, okay?”

”Weʼve been through a lot together this week, and the effects of your succubi abilities have made me very satisfied.” Eve said this as she hugged Feltiaʼs left arm. ”Moreover, Iʼm also feeling lonely right now, so I also want to use them on me again.”

”All right, weʼll do it later.” Feltia then pointed towards the distance. ”I found a safe place there, so weʼll go there now.”
