Zhang Fei [1], who was adding firewood to the campfire, let out a soft sigh after hearing the notification, especially since the day had changed, but the target he was waiting for still hadnʼt shown up.

Meanwhile, the six women sat huddled around the campfire, hugging each other as the temperature in the valley continued to drop, and the Qi covering their bodies could not withstand the chilling air, making them extremely cold.

”Do you think those villagers will really make a move on us, brother?” As she stretched both hands toward the campfire, Xia Qianqian inquired, but her body continued to shiver from the cold. ”Weʼve waited for so long, and itʼs already midnight, but thereʼs still no sign of them making a move.”

”Ugh! It would be better if we left this place, Fei.” Gu Yan groaned and tightly hugged Luo Yu. ”This place is too creepy, and this chilling air also penetrates to my bones, making me extremely uncomfortable.”

Hearing that, Luo Yu immediately conveyed her idea to Gu Yan and the other women. ”How about we dual-cultivate with him in turn? Our passion and his hot yang qi will cause our bodies to warm up, significantly reducing the coldness.

”I agree with you!” Du Yuan and Ning Xiang, who also felt cold, immediately agreed without hesitation.

Zhang Fei [1] laughed as he listened to their words. He then glanced at Mu Lingshu, who appeared awkward, particularly because she was still a virgin, and felt extremely embarrassed if she had to watch them dual-cultivate with him in front of her.

Xia Qianqian, who was sitting right next to Mu Lingshu, immediately noticed her expression. She smiled faintly before standing up from her seat and moving to Zhang Fei [1]ʼs laps. She put her arms around his neck as she whispered to him. ʼWhat if we do it in front of Senior Sister Lingshu, brother?

Maybe if he watches us dual-cultivate, sheʼll feel something, and it would be great for her if she could actually feel it.ʼ

ʼNo.ʼ Zhang Fei [1] denied Xia Qianqianʼs words. ʼLingshuʼs abnormality is really unusual, and Iʼm sure that she wonʼt get turned on even if she watches us dual-cultivate. Instead, our activities will make her feel even more awkward and embarrassed, especially since she always distances himself from such a thing.ʼ

Xia Qianqian then looked at Mu Lingshu with a look of pity, particularly because dual cultivation had always brought her immense pleasure. She felt sorry for her because she couldnʼt experience the same pleasure as she and the other women. ”Brother, I-”

Xia Qianqian didnʼt continue her sentence because they suddenly felt a cold air sweeping over them, which was much colder than before, coming from the direction of the village. They immediately jumped to their feet while taking out their respective weapons, and they also released their Qi to prepare for the enemiesʼ attacks.

Sensing that unusual aura, Zhang Fei [1] stood up in front of the women as he took out the demon exterminating sword, which immediately vibrated with excitement. ʼHmm? Demon, huh? Otherwise, my sword wouldnʼt be this excited, and itʼs so eager to attack them.ʼ

Not long after, Zhang Fei [1] and the others saw the villagers walking towards them, but their appearances no longer looked like humans, and they looked like living corpses instead.

ʼUgh! Whatʼs wrong with them? Why did their appearances turn so horribly?ʼ Gu Yan inquired quietly, hiding behind Zhang Fei [1].

Xia Qianqian and the other women were also shocked to see the changes in the villagersʼ appearances, but Zhang Fei [1] immediately calmed them down while observing the map, which is filled with red dots as many as the number of people. ʼWhat really happened to them, Mei? You told me before that there was nothing strange about them, but theyʼve become like that now.ʼ

[Based on the system scan, they are no longer humans but living corpses.] Meiʼs answer made Zhang Fei [1] frown. [In this universe, there are many cultivators with strange abilities, such as ghost and corpse cultivators, who have the ability to control ghosts and corpses.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in understanding, especially since he had also read about them in his old novels about cultivators and the like. ʼIf thatʼs the case, that means these people have been dead for a long time, and a corpse cultivator uses their corpses for certain purposes.

However, I am a little confused about them, especially since their aura and appearance were previously no different from humans, and the map did not show any hostile signs from them.ʼ

[I donʼt have a definite answer to that, Master. Perhaps the corpse cultivator who turned them into this state used a method to disguise their death aura, and the system couldnʼt detect it. Anyway, Iʼve been trying to track down the mastermind behind this incident, but I havenʼt been able to find him or her, so I think you should lure him or her out by destroying these living corpses.]

ʼCould the mastermind be someone from the Pang Clan?ʼ Zhang Fei [1] suspected that, especially since that clan was the only one he knew to possess evil techniques.

”What should we do now, brother? Do we have to fight them?” Xia Qianqian fearfully asked Zhang Fei [1], especially since those living corpses were getting closer to them.

”Yes, we will fight them and destroy them.” They were shocked to hear Zhang Feiʼs [1] answer. ”These people have actually been dead for a long time, and a corpse cultivator purposefully used their corpses to harm the cultivators who came to this area. If my guess is correct, the person who issued the mission was the mastermind behind their condition, and he or she deliberately lured us into a trap.”

Mu Lingshu nodded in agreement and said to them. ”I also heard about the corpse cultivators, and these people do indeed resemble the characteristics of the living corpses used by them as weapons, so it would be better if we made a move now to end their suffering once and for all.”

”You guys donʼt need to move, and Iʼll take care of them myself.” Zhang Fei [1] said that as he transformed into his half-fox form with four long tails dancing behind him, his action stunned Mu Lingshu, who was seeing his other form for the first time.

Without delay, Zhang Fei [1] teleported above the crowd of those living corpses, and he also used his sword element method to channel his light qi into the demon exterminating sword before dancing among the crowd.

”Hey, guys, is he a demihuman?” Mu Lingshu asked, her eyes moving to follow Zhang Fei [1]ʼs movements. She was surprised to find that his sword skills were quite good, even though his swordmanship was still not as good as hers.

Luo Yu shook her head and answered him. ”I find it hard to explain to you, but Zhang Fei [1] is not a demihuman. In fact, he is a full-fledged human, but he is also a full-fledged fox beast, and his current form is his half-fox form, so he looks like a demihuman.”

”Besides, he still has one more form, and thatʼs—Mhn!”

Luo Yu immediately stopped Gu Yan by covering her mouth with her hand, especially since Zhang Fei [1]ʼs other form was a demon, and not everyone could accept the presence of demons among them. Moreover, they didnʼt know Mu Lingshu that well, and she was worried that she would hate him if she knew his third form.

”Why did you stop her? What exactly is his other form?” Mu Lingshu asked Luo Yu with a frown.

Luo Yu immediately rejected Mu Lingshu. ”Sorry, I wonʼt tell you about his third form, and you can ask him directly if you are curious about it.”

Luo Yuʼs answer made Mu Lingshu frown even more, but she suddenly felt something coming from behind them, so she immediately moved to attack it.

*Clang*

However, it immediately deflected her attack before it struck back at Mu Lingshu, which hit her chest and sent her flying far back, and her expression was a little hurt by it.

Seeing that, Du Yuan immediately moved to catch Mu Lingshu, and she landed near the other women again. ”Are you all right?”

”Yeah, Iʼm fine.” Mu Lingshu immediately wiped away the blood on the corners of her lips. ”I think that creature is the mastermind behind this incident.”

Du Yuan and the others were shocked after they looked at the creature, because its appearance was much more terrifying than that of the villagers. Its body resembled a skinless skeleton, complemented by dark green eyes.

”Keh... keh... keh...” The creature laughed eerily as its body slowly changed before becoming a human woman, and she then licked her lips as she stared coldly at Mu Lingshu and the others. ”Itʼs been a while since humans have come here, and Iʼm really hungry now, so Iʼm going to eat you all, like the humans who came here before you.”

Xia Qianqian and the others shuddered upon hearing that, and the woman immediately moved towards them to capture them, making them panic, especially since her strength was far above theirs.

Fortunately, Zhang Fei [1], who was slaughtering those living corpses, noticed this and immediately teleported in front of his partners before kicking the woman away.

”Gyah!” The woman screamed in pain from Zhang Fei [1]ʼs attack, especially since his legs were covered by his light element, which was her nemesis. However, she landed directly on the ground and glared at him fiercely, not daring to attack him directly. ʼHow can a demihuman like him have such a potent light element?ʼ

”At first, I thought it was a corpse cultivator who made the villagers like that, but I didnʼt expect the culprit to be a demon.” Zhang Fei observed the woman with seriousness. ʼShow her status, Mei.ʼ

[Wait a minute.]

ʼMarchioness rank demon, huh?ʼ Zhang Fei [1] muttered inwardly, but his expression changed slightly upon reading Arshilaʼs abilities, as her necromancy piqued his interest.

[Do you intend to mimic her necromancy, master?]

ʼYes.ʼ Zhang Fei [1] replied with a slight nod. ʼHer soul manipulation should be quite good, but Iʼm not interested in that, and her necromancy is much more useful.ʼ

Suddenly, the six women attacked him from behind, but he immediately dodged their attacks and swiftly knocked them unconscious before sending them into the training space. He then frowned at Arshila, as he was sure that she was using her soul manipulation on them. ”Youʼre a demon from the Netherworld realm, right?

Anyway, youʼve made a fatal mistake in using your ability to control their souls, and I will never forgive anyone who dares to use those closest to me.”

[Anyway, you have to be careful, Master. Even though her rank is marchioness, she is much stronger than Lillea, and you should summon Boitata to deal with her.]

ʼI know, Mei.ʼ

”How... how do you know about my realm?” Arshila asked with a shocked expression, especially since no one in the Sky Jade Realm should know about that realm.

”If my guess is correct, you must be one of the demons they purposefully left behind in this realm to prepare for their next invasion, right?” Arshila frowned upon hearing Zhang Fei [1]ʼs words, but her expression changed as soon as he turned into a demon. ”As you can see, I am also a demon, but I am different from you.”

”Impossible!” Arshila shouted loudly to Zhang Fei [1]. ”You clearly have a light element! How can you be a demon?”

”Youʼre going to die soon, so Iʼm not going to waste my time with you.” Zhang Fei [1] said so with a shake of his head.

”Ha ha ha!” After hearing that, Arshila burst into laughter. ”Do you think a viscount-rank demon like you can kill me? Heh! I donʼt know how you can transform into a beast and a demon, but youʼre still not my opponent, even if you have such a strong light element.”

”Hmm? ” Zhang Fei [1] raised his eyebrows as all of the skeletons in the area stood up, and many ghosts came out from the ground, immediately encircling him.

[Master, they are the ghosts of the villagers and the people who came here before, so it would be better if you killed Arshila immediately, and these ghosts can be free from her control.]
