Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 267: Two Weeks Later

*Tap... Tap... Tap...*

”Hmm?” Shen Haoran, who was checking his sonʼs condition, immediately turned his head towards the sound of footsteps. He then asked the middle-aged woman who had just arrived. ”Why did you come here, Shen Shixi?”

”What the hell are you thinking? Why did you send ten of our men to chase after a young man?” Shen Haoran scowled in response to Shen Shixiʼs question, but he was shocked when she showed ten broken jades. ”These are theirs, which means they are dead now.”

”Impossible!” Shen Haoran immediately shouted after hearing that. ”Their cultivation is at the Earth Realm, and that bratʼs cultivation is only at the Core Realm, so thereʼs no way he could kill them!”

Instead, Shen Shixi let out a heavy sigh and shook his head at Shen Haoran. ”It appears that your interest in Shen Xueyi has made you so stupid! You didnʼt even investigate Zhang Fei [1]ʼs background before sending our men to hunt him down, and they died in vain at his hands.”

”What do you mean by that? Does a brat with cultivation in the core realm have such a big influence compared to our Shen Clan?” Shen Haoran asked with a dark face.

”Before I came here, I checked Zhang Fei [1]ʼs background, and he joined our sect on Liu Rongʼs recommendation.” Her answer momentarily surprised Shen Haoran, but Shen Shixiʼs next words further shocked him. ”For your information, he is Liu Huaʼs husband, and her two nieces, Chu Ying and Chu Qing, are his wives too. Do you think the Liu and Chu clansʼ influence is inferior to our Shen clan?

They are indeed weaker than us, but their influence in the two regions is slightly greater than that of our clan, especially since they are more active than us in public. Although I donʼt know for sure about his relationship with Shen Xueyi, she clearly supports him behind his back, and she even gives him some exceptions, such as taking on multiple missions at once.

Besides, I also heard that he has dual-cultivated with several elders, such as Shi Yue, Tang Rou, Xi Zihua, and even Yan Luanʼer.”

All of this information left Shen Haoran quite shocked, but he found it difficult to believe that a weak cultivator like Zhang Fei [1] could have a relationship with all those people. ”How do you know all that?”

”Unlike you, who always think with your lower body, I always think using my brain.” Shen Shixiʼs mockery made Shen Haoran frown even deeper. ”I wonʼt explain to you how I got all the information, especially since the walls have ears too, so I donʼt want Shen Xueyi and the others to know about my secret.

Iʼve told you the truth, so itʼs up to you whether you want to believe me or not, but youʼre the one who will suffer loss if you do not believe me.”

Following that, Shen Shixi swiftly departed, leaving Shen Haoran in a contemplative state. ʼEven if that brat had a relationship with those two clans, their people couldnʼt possibly help him kill my people, especially since none of them, including Liu Qingyu, were equal to them.

As for Liu Hua, she is indeed more talented than her sister and brother, but she previously fell into Pang Hongʼs hands, so I believe her cultivation would not be able to rise that high. Liu Rong and Liu Ming should already be in the demon cave, making it impossible for them to protect him.ʼ

After he pondered for some time, Shen Haoran left the medical hall and returned to the tower, and he immediately sent one of his trusted men, who was also an elder of the Shen Clan, to chase after Zhang Fei [1].

Meanwhile, Shen Xueyi and Shen Yang were standing side by side by a roomʼs window when he asked his cousin a question. ”Did you intentionally reveal all that information for Shen Shixi to know?”

”Yes.” Shen Xueyi answered with a nod. ”For all these years, Shen Shixi always believed that I was unaware of her actions. However, I have been closely monitoring her and those close to Shen Haoran, and I knew that he would be even more eager to kill Zhang Fei [1] once he learned about his background, so I deliberately asked Min Rean and the others not to cover up anything.”

”I see.” Shen Yang nodded in understanding. ”Now ten of them are dead in Zhang Fei [1]ʼs hands, and Shen Haoran has decided to send Shen Kuo to chase him, but Iʼm sure he wonʼt be a big problem for him, especially since his bloodline is higher than ours.

Anyway, Shen Hai and Shen Shou have come out of their seclusion, and the others will be out soon, but Iʼve told them to hold back for the time being.”

”Thatʼs good.” Shen Xueyi then turned to Shen Yang. ”I want you to chase after Shen Kuo and capture him, but you better not kill him and lock him up in that place for the time being.”

”Oh?” Shen Yang was a little surprised by Shen Xueyiʼs request. ”At first, I thought you wanted to let him die at Zhang Feiʼs hands [1], but you want to capture him now.”

Shen Xueyi let out a soft sigh before responding to him. ”Honestly, I donʼt know much about Zhang Fei [1]ʼs abilities, but he was able to kill those 10 people in a short time. Thatʼs why I think he might have a unique ability, and Shen Kuo might be useful to him, so I want you to capture him.”

”All right, Iʼll go now.”

After Shen Yang disappeared from her sight, Shen Xueyi immediately left her room and went to meet some people to discuss further plans to deal with Shen Haoran and the others.

Meanwhile, Ashreth walked into the throne room on the top floor of the black and white tower, but she was surprised because she didnʼt see the white Amaris there, and she only found the naked black Amaris accompanied by the fake Janette, who was also naked.

”Whatʼs the result of your investigation in Zygozʼs sub-realm? Did you find anything suspicious about Feltia?” The black Amaris immediately asked Ashreth.

”I didnʼt find anything suspicious about Feltia, my lord.” Ashreth then informed the black Amaris about everything she discovered in Zygozʼs sub-realm without realizing that Oz, the second demon lord, had prepared all the information.

After hearing all that, the black Amaris raised her eyebrows for a moment, but she herself didnʼt seem to suspect it, especially since she couldnʼt possibly monitor Zygozʼs sub-realm on her own. ”Where is Feltia now?”

”They should be halfway to their mission location.” Ashreth then asked the black Amaris. ”Do you want me to catch up with them, my lord?”

”No need.” The black Amaris responded by shaking her head. ”Anyway, my sister and I already have a special plan for Feltia, so I want you to bring her here once she returns to this sub-realm.”

The black Amarisʼs order surprised Ashreth, especially since Feltiaʼs demon rank was still too low and her twin lords had never summoned a demon of such a rank to their tower.

Despite this, Ashreth did not refuse the black Amarisʼs command but promptly accepted it. ”Yes, my lord. When they return from their mission, Iʼll bring Feltia to you.”

Shortly after Ashrethʼs departure, the white Amaris appeared in the room, displaying a much more cheerful expression that immediately confused her twin sister. ”Why are you so happy? Did you find something interesting?”

”Not really.” The white Amaris then approached her twin sister, who had just taken off her clothes. She climbed onto his lap, wrapped her arms around her neck, and briefly kissed her. She then cast a sidelong glance at the fake Janette before complaining to the black Amaris. ”You always have fun with this young dryad while Iʼm away, huh?

Even her demon power has decreased a lot because you keep absorbing it, so youʼd better hold back for now, or sheʼll die, and both of us will be the ones to lose.”

”Hehe.” The black Amaris chuckled before kissing her twin sister, sharing the demon power she had previously absorbed from the fake Janette, which caused the white Amarisʼ eyes to sparkle. Soon, she separated their lips. ”You donʼt have to be jealous anymore, right? Youʼre my twin sister, so I certainly wonʼt ignore you, and I will definitely share her demon power fairly with you.”

The white Amaris nodded with a smile, but she also laughed in her heart at the stupidity of her twin sister, who was still oblivious to her secret. ”Anyway, I saw Ashreth leave our tower earlier; did he get any information about Feltia? Does she have a suspicious background?”

”Ashreth didnʼt find anything suspicious about her.” The black Amaris responded by shaking her head. ”Anyway, Iʼve ordered her to bring Feltia to us once she returns from her mission, and weʼll immediately absorb her demon power once sheʼs in our hands.”

”Thatʼs good.” The white Amaris nodded with a satisfied smile. ”I believe that Feltiaʼs demon power is much stronger than Naeth and the others, so I really canʼt wait to absorb it, and it will probably increase our strength quite a bit.”

The black Amaris herself had the same thoughts as her twin sister, so she also couldnʼt wait to absorb Feltiaʼs demon power. She then waved her hand, causing a cluster of black clouds to appear in front of them, forming a bed, on which she laid the white Amaris before beginning their intimate activities.

The white Amaris naturally did not refuse it and followed her twin sisterʼs game, but the black Amaris did not realize that she was sending something into her body through their mouths. ʼHahaha! Iʼm sorry, sister. I donʼt want to share the status of the next demon lord with you, and they also want to get you, so I was forced to do this to you.ʼ

Shen Kuo, who was flying toward Zhang Fei [1]ʼs first mission location in the Sky Jade Realm, abruptly stopped and looked at Shen Yang, who was blocking his path. ”What are you doing here? Why are you blocking my path?”

”Shouldnʼt you already know my reason, Old Kuo?” Before Shen Kuo could react, Shen Yang had already thrown a net towards him, which instantly wrapped around his body, causing his strength to dissipate rapidly, so he struggled to break free from it. ”Futile! You know that the net is made of golden silkworm thread and seals your strength, so you can never escape.”

Shen Yang immediately caught Shen Kuo, who suddenly fell to the ground after his strength was sealed. ”In the sect, I couldnʼt do anything to you, but youʼve fallen into my hands now. However, you shouldnʼt worry because my cousin doesnʼt want to kill you yet, especially since youʼre still useful to someone, so Iʼll take you to that place for the time being.”

”You-”

Without giving Shen Kuo a chance to speak, Shen Yang knocked him unconscious and immediately took him to the place he had previously mentioned.

Nothing significant occurred after that day, but Shen Haoranʼs panic over Shen Kuoʼs disappearance led him to believe the veracity of Shen Shixiʼs information. In addition, he also got news from Zhiyu Fengzhi that his son, Shen Tianyu, had woken up from his abnormal condition.

However, Shen Tianyuʼs condition was not good, especially since his previous abnormal condition left a worse sequela for him, and his cultivation regressed by one minor stage due to the backlash of his condition, which frustrated him, especially since his cultivation had almost broken through. the Earth Realm.

Shen Tianyuʼs condition also affected Shen Haoran, causing him to forget his intention to hunt down Zhang Fei [1]. Instead, he focused on helping his son restore his cultivation, and he also ordered some of his loyalists to find the mastermind behind his sonʼs misfortune as soon as possible.

Imperceptibly, another two weeks had passed in the Sky Jade Realm, and Zhang Fei was preparing to break through to the Soul Realm inside the training space. In fact, he should have broken through a week ago, but he was too focused on his training, so he postponed his breakthrough.

Even so, Zhang Feiʼs decision was not in vain, especially since he had been able to fully adapt to the level three gravity feature, which was eight times heavier than the outside world.

Some of his women have also managed to adapt, but some are still unable to do so, particularly due to their low cultivation and physical strength compared to the others.

Liu Hua, Liu Qingyu, Shen Yu, and Boitata sat cross-legged around Zhang Fei. They prepared to help him if he faced difficulty doing so, especially since forming a cultivation soul is more difficult than forming a cultivation core.
