Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 252: Meeting Four Women

After they returned to the inner disciple area, Ba Xiu and Fei Xuan carefully crept into Zhang Fei [1]ʼs room, especially since the five women were resting there.

Regrettably, they were oblivious to the fact that Lin Hao had been observing Du Ruhui for the past three days, which meant he already knew all of her plans. He quickly moved behind the two women before knocking them unconscious.

However, Lin Hao was not alone; his dear daughter, Lin Dongʼer, accompanied him. Both of them supported the two women, who were already unconscious. ”Father, whatʼre you going to do with them? What about Yin Tong?”

”They are just Du Ruhuiʼs tools, so I wonʼt punish them too severely, and I will imprison them in the punishment hall for a while.” Lin Hao then turned towards Yin Tongʼs room before speaking to his daughter again. ”As for that Yin brat, I will wait for him to make a move first before I can arrest him, and his future depends on Madam Xueyiʼs decision.”

Lin Hao then shouldered Ba Xiu before pulling Fei Xuan from his daughterʼs arms and carrying her on his shoulder as well, but Lin Dongʼer then asked again. ”What exactly does Yin Tong plan to do to them?”

”Du Ruhui gave something to that brat three days ago, but his target is not the five little girls; his target is only Zhang Fei [1], so you donʼt have to worry about him.” Lin Dongʼer pouted her mouth in response to her fatherʼs secrecy, but Lin Hao ignored her and took the two women directly to the punishment hall.

After that, Lin Dongʼer proceeded directly to Mu Lingshuʼs room, which was located directly across from Zhang Feiʼs room. Upon entering, she discovered her best friend deep in thought on her bed, prompting her to sit down on the side of the bed and inquire. ”What are you thinking about? Did that pervert do anything to you?”

”Nothing.” Mu Lingshu answered with a shake of her head before sitting down beside Lin Dongʼer. ”Iʼm just upset with myself because I was too careless, and I attacked Zhang Fei [1] without realizing it.”

”Hmm?” Lin Dongʼer looked at her with a raised eyebrow, so Mu Lingshu immediately told her about the incident in the remote valley. ”How can there still be demons in our realm? Moreover, there is not only one but a few others, including the one in the cave near the southern ocean.

Besides, the senior cultivators are unaware that they are constantly lurking in our realm, and their presence is truly dangerous to our people.”

”Yes.” Mu Lingshu nodded in agreement with that. ”Fortunately, Zhang Fei [1] has already cleared out the demons in that cave, and he has also killed the demons that attacked us in that valley. However, he surmises that there are still numerous demons hiding in various areas of our realm, but he himself is still uncertain about their numbers and hiding places.

Thatʼs why we must warn Vice Sect Master Luanʼer and the elders about this matter, so that they can be more selective in accepting missions submitted to our sect. Otherwise, the disciples in our sect will be in trouble if they take on trap missions, especially since those demons are powerful and have unpredictable abilities.”

Without hesitation, Lin Dongʼer told her father about the situation, and Lin Hao immediately relayed the information to Shen Xueyi and Yan Luanʼer, who promptly instructed the elder in charge of the mission hall to review all the missions that their sect had accepted.

In addition, Shen Xueyi instructed several sect elders and her clan members to depart from the sect in order to search for the disciples who were outside the sect.

”Mistress Xueyi and Vice Sect Master Luanʼer must have made their move by now, and my father also asked us not to leave our sect for the time being.” Mu Lingshu let out a sigh of relief after hearing that, but Lin Dongʼer looked at her with a suspicious gaze, feeling that her best friend was hiding something. ”Is there something you havenʼt told me?”

”Hmm?” Mu Lingshu raised her eyebrows for a moment before telling her. ”Zhang Fei [1] is not an ordinary human, and he is actually a beast—a four-tailed fox beast to be exact.”

”Are you joking with me? How can he be a fox beast?” Lin Dongʼer exclaimed in a high-pitched voice as her eyes widened in shock.

”Iʼm not joking with you.” Mu Lingshu spoke with a shake of her head. ”When those villagers were about to attack us, Zhang Fei [1] transformed into a half-fox, and I thought that he was a demihuman. However, Luo Yu and the others told me that he was actually a fox beast, and his light element became stronger when he used that form.

Besides, he is also a good swordsman, but he seems to have not practiced swordsmanship for long, so his fighting style is still too random.”

Mu Lingshuʼs words left Lin Dongʼer stunned, especially since she herself did not know Zhang Fei [1] that well, so she did not know anything about his identities or abilities. Soon, she came back to her senses and muttered under her breath. ”No wonder he could command those two Earth-Rank beasts to attack those bandits; both of them looked terrified of him.

However, beasts are different from us humans, and a beast can only suppress other beasts if it has a higher bloodline, which means his fox bloodline is much higher than theirs.”

”Thatʼs true, but I personally donʼt know anything about his fox bloodline, so I donʼt know how strong his bloodline is.”

Lin Dongʼer let out a soft sigh before standing up. ”You just got back, so Iʼll be leaving now, and you can get some rest.”

After her best friend left her room, Mu Lingshu laid down on her bed again as she stared at the ceiling, her mind filled with questions about Zhang Fei [1]ʼs other identity, especially since Luo Yu and the others had intentionally hidden it from her. ”Sigh. Forget it. I should not be overly concerned with his other identity; we are merely sect mates, and I have only known him for a few days.”

After she left Mu Lingshuʼs room, Lin Dongʼer did not immediately return to her own but went towards Yin Tongʼs room instead, and she used the artifact her father had given her to hide her presence, especially since she was curious about his plans with Du Ruhui.

However, Lin Dongʼerʼs expression turned annoyed as soon as she peeked into Yin Tongʼs room, especially since he was dual-cultivating with Ni Weiwei, and Yun Kexin was waiting by the side of the room naked. ʼTch! They are truly like horny beasts! Even though itʼs still early in the morning, they are already engaged in dual cultivation.ʼ

Lin Dongʼer suddenly raised her eyebrows as Yin Tong told Ni Weiwei about his plan against Zhang Fei [1], including the item that Du Ruhui had given him. ʼWhat a fool! Even the Pang Clanʼs heart-controlling gas didnʼt work on that pervert, but he actually wanted to use such a potion on him. Hey! I want to see what that pervert will do to him if he finds out about this, so Iʼll send him a message now.ʼ

After that, Lin Dongʼer hurried back to her own room and sent a message to Zhang Fei [1], informing him about Yin Tong and Du Ruhuiʼs plot against him.

”Phew.” After completing the quest, Zhang Fei [1] immediately opened his eyes and listened to the incoming message from Lin Dongʼer, causing him to smile evilly. ”Heh! Yin Tong is too envious and jealous of others who are better than him, and I had expected that he would meet Du Ruhui.

However, I wonʼt take any action against the brat from the Du clan for the time being, given that his clan is as powerful as the Liu clan. Iʼm also uncertain about the support the Pang clan provides, but I will take action against this idiot.”

After that, Zhang Fei [1] stood up and cleaned himself before changing his clothes, and he then used the Nine Cloud Steps to go to the southern river city.

As soon as he arrived at the southern river city, Zhang Fei [1] immediately opened his map to search for Chu Xingʼs location, and he found her on the second floor of a restaurant with Wei Luan and the Hai Twins, so he hurried to catch up with them there.

”Brother in law!” When Chu Xing saw Zhang Fei [1], she immediately called out and waved her hand. ”Come here and join us!”

Zhang Fei [1] looked up at them and smiled faintly when he saw Wei Luanʼs expression, and he hurried to meet them there.

”Why did you just arrive now, brother-in-law? Iʼve been waiting for you since yesterday.” Chu Xing immediately complained as soon as Zhang Fei [1] arrived in front of them.

”Sorry, our last mission was not easy, and we only managed to complete it at midnight.” Zhang Fei [1] then sat down at the side of the table and explained the previous nightʼs situation, shocking the four women, particularly the Hai Twins.

”It would be better if you contacted your sect members to cancel all missions, especially since we have no information about the other demons that are still lurking in our realm, lest the disciples of your sect fall into a trap mission like us. After all, those demons come from another realm, and they are truly powerful, so they will not be able to deal with them.”

The Hai Twins did not dare to take Zhang Fei [1]ʼs words lightly, especially since they had already witnessed some of his abilities themselves, so they immediately sent a sound transmission to the other elders of their sect and informed them of the matter.

Afterwards, Hao Dongyin curiously asked Zhang Fei [1]. ”How did you manage to defeat that demon if he was so much stronger than you? I still remember your fox bloodline, but demons and beasts are different, and you wonʼt be able to use your bloodline power to suppress her.”

”Do you have the light element, Zhang Fei [1]?” Hai Dongxin also asked him.

”Yes, I do have the light element.” Zhang Fei [1] then stretched out his hand and showed them his light qi, which not only surprised them but also surprised some of the cultivators present there, especially since it was quite bright. ”Otherwise, I wonʼt be able to defeat that demon, but Iʼm not alone in doing so, and I also have the help of my contract beast.”

The Hai Twins nodded in understanding, recalling the horror of their fight against Boitata. They had nearly died at her hands if Zhang Fei [1] hadnʼt intervened, so they were fully aware of her strength.

As he supported his chin with his hand, Chu Xing curiously asked Zhang Fei [1]. ”Do you really have fox blood, brother-in-law?”

Not only her, but even Wei Luan also felt curious about it, especially since she could clearly feel that Zhang Fei [1]ʼs aura was that of a human and not a beast.

”Do you need to doubt your eldersʼ words?” Zhang Fei [1] asked Chu Xing back with a smile. ”I do have a fox bloodline, but I wonʼt show it to you in a public place like this. If you are curious to know, I can take you with me and show it to you later.”

Naturally, Chu Xing understood that, but he was very curious about Zhang Fei [1]ʼs fox bloodline, so she immediately nodded in agreement with him. ”Since weʼre still staying in this city today, Iʼll go with you later, and youʼll have to show it to me.”

”Sure.” Zhang Fei [1] then turned to Wei Luan, who also looked curious about him. ”What about you? Do you want to see it too?”

”Yes.” Wei Luan did not hide her curiosity, but she directly said to Zhang Fei [1]. ”Unfortunately, I canʼt go with you because my parents keep monitoring me, and they hate dual cultivators like you so much, especially my mother.”

Zhang Fei [1] was not surprised to hear that, and he then told Wei Luan. ”Actually, you donʼt need to think about your mother, and I can take you away without her knowledge if you really want it.”

”No.” Wei Luan immediately rejected Zhang Fei [1]. ”I am grateful that you have revealed Ying Xiaoʼs affair with You Han, and our engagement has been canceled now. However, I have promised my parents not to have a relationship with you, so I wonʼt go with you, and you can go with Sister Xing.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei [1] nodded in understanding, not minding Wei Luanʼs refusal, and suddenly remembered something before he told the Hai Twins about it. ”Anyway, my little sister, like you two, possesses the water element, but she has always trained and cultivated by herself.

Thatʼs why I thought of sending her to your sect so she could make new friends and gain experience there, and I hope you two can guide her.”
