Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 276: Turning Lan Zhen

While Chu Xing was introducing Zhang Lin to the Hidden Sea Palace environment, Zhang Fei and Shen Yu had already arrived near the Yin-Yang Pavilion, but he did not immediately bring her into the sect.

After pondering for a long time, Zhang Fei decided to try something. He immediately used his invisibility before touching Shen Yuʼs hand, but nothing happened. To their surprise, his ability affected her as soon as he held her hand, and she also entered the invisible state just like him.

”Wow! Your ability is really amazing, Fei!” Shen Yu exclaimed in admiration. ”I thought you could enter anywhere in this realm with this ability, except for the rooms equipped with strong defensive formations.”

”Yeah, youʼre right about that.

Thatʼs why I thought about learning about formation arrays, so I can infiltrate such rooms, but I donʼt have any acquaintances who understand formation arrays, so I have to wait to meet the right person.” Shen Yu agreed with Zhang Feiʼs desire to study the field, but she herself did not have any acquaintances with the formation array master, so she could not give him a recommendation.

”This is the first time Iʼve tested it, and my guess turned out to be right. However, it doesnʼt work if I just touch you, and I have to hold you like this in order to work on you.”

”Well? No technique is perfect, and they have their own advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, the effect is already good, so I donʼt see any issues. Anyway, Iʼll contact my mother now and ask her to meet us in my seclusion room.” Zhang Fei agreed to that, so Shen Yu immediately contacted Shen Xueyi.

Zhang Fei then led Shen Yu into the Yin-Yang Pavilion, where he was irritated to see various red ornaments, such as lanterns, set up in various locations in preparation for Shen Yuʼs marriage to Shen Tianyu.

Upon their arrival at the tower, Zhang Fei immediately took Shen Yu to the lowest floor, but the two old men guarding outside did not notice their presence. Even after she waved her hand in front of their faces, they still did not react to it, so she took him inside and waited for her mother to arrive.

A few minutes later, Shen Xueyi hurriedly ran from upstairs, confusing the two old men, which prompted Shen Yang to question her. ”What happened, Cousin? Why are you in such a hurry?”

”You two didnʼt notice, huh?” Shen Xueyiʼs response actually caused further confusion for Shen Yang and Shen Hao, but she didnʼt provide any explanation before entering the room.

Shen Yang and Shen Hao exchanged confused glances before following Shen Xueyi into the room, but they instantly froze at their spot when Zhang Fei and Shen Yu suddenly appeared in front of them, especially since they hadnʼt noticed their arrival.

”Hmm?” Shen Xueyi immediately took a serious look at her daughterʼs body after sensing her cultivation. ”Is your cultivation approaching the 2-Star Earth Realm, Yuʼer?”

”Yes, Mother.” Shen Yu replied with a nod. ”Iʼll probably break through to the 2-Star in two weeks if I continue to stay with Zhang Fei. Moreover, after entering seclusion with him for a month, not only my cultivation but also my strength and speed have significantly increased.

”Oh?” Shen Xueyi and the two old men were surprised to see the confident smile on Shen Yuʼs face.

Shen Yu then turned to look at Zhang Fei, who was reading the status of the two old men on his system. ”Can I show them the results of my training, Fei?”

”Sure.”

After Zhang Fei gave his consent, Shen Yu swiftly sprinted around the area without using her cultivation, leaving the three of them stunned, particularly due to her exceptionally fast speed. Moreover, her body looked so light, and her feet seemed to not touch the ground when she ran.

They were even more shocked when Shen Yu used her cultivation to increase her speed, causing their eyes to become unable to follow his movements, indicating that her speed had exceeded their ability to see.

Soon, Shen Yu returned to their front again, and he smiled amusedly at their reactions. ”How about my speed, mother and uncles?”

”Unbelievable!” The three of them exclaimed loudly.

Shen Yang then said to her. ”Little niece, your cultivation is still in the 1-Star Earth Realm, but your speed has already surpassed the three of us who are in the Heaven Realm, and our eyes canʼt even follow your movements.”

”Old Yang is right, Little Yuʼer.” Shen Hao said it, nodding in agreement. ”Not just my eyes, but even my senses canʼt lock onto you, especially since your speed is so fast. If I think about it again, your speed has even surpassed that of your grandmother and great-grandmother, which means you are the fastest cultivator in our shen clan.”

”Hehe.” Shen Yu chuckled and hugged Zhang Feiʼs arm. ”My training results are because of him, Uncle Yang and Uncle Hao. If he didnʼt bring me to his private training ground, then I wouldnʼt be able to move this fast.”

”What about you, Zhang Fei? Is your speed also on par with Little Yuʼer?” Shen Hao asked while looking at him.

Zhang Fei simply smiled and used his teleportation ability repeatedly, causing the two old menʼs jaws to drop, but he did not do so for long. ”Actually, I still have another movement technique, but I canʼt use it in such a narrow space, and I can only use it in open spaces.”

Both old men nodded in understanding, and Shen Yang then turned to Shen Xueyi. ”So we can start moving, right, cousin?”

”Yes.” Shen Xueyi then issued the order to the two men. ”Now that Yuʼer has returned, you two no longer need to guard this place. Instead, meet up with the others to prepare. As we originally planned, my mother and grandmother will return two days before the wedding day, and we will move to eliminate Shen Haoran and the others at that time.”

”All right.”

After the two old men left them, Zhang Fei then asked Shen Xueyi. ”In any case, could you please hand Lan Zhen over to me? Since she tried to use the heart-controlling gas on me before, I have to do something about her. Moreover, you donʼt need to worry about the Lan Clan, as they wonʼt know what will happen to her, and she might be useful to Yuʼer.”

”What do you want to do about Lan Zhen?” Shen Xueyi inquired with a frown.

Instead, Zhang Fei smiled mysteriously as he replied casually. ”Bring Lan Zhen here first, and youʼll find out later.”

Shen Xueyi let out a soft sigh at Zhang Feiʼs answer, but she immediately contacted Lin Hao and asked him to bring the woman to them.

Some time later, Lin Hao had arrived at the place with Lan Zhen, but she trembled in fear as soon as she saw the evil smile on Zhang Feiʼs face. ʼShit! Why did they bring me here? What are they going to do to me?ʼ

”You can leave, Elder Lin.” Lin Hao nodded to her and immediately left the room, while Shen Xueyi immediately waved her hand to seal the room and prevent anyone from entering, particularly because she was certain Zhang Fei would do something unusual to Lan Zhen.

Zhang Fei himself immediately moved and knocked Lan Zhen unconscious, and he then took out the science capsule, which shocked the Shen mother and daughter after seeing such a device for the first time.

Zhang Fei didnʼt provide a direct explanation; instead, he placed Lan Zhen directly into the capsule, which piqued the curiosity of the two women about his motive for taking out such a device and placing her there.

{Ding}

{A human detected}

{Please insert the beast cores into the ten available holes.}

[Have you decided which beast core you want to use on Lan Zhen, Master?]

Zhang Fei didnʼt respond to Meiʼs question directly, and his eyes scanned every name of the beast cores listed in the system, but he felt confused about which one was suitable to use on Lan Zhen.

Since Zhang Fei still couldnʼt make up his mind, Mei then suggested it to him. [In my opinion, Master, since Lan Zhen possesses the Ice Element, you could use Frost Lynx, Ice Spider, or Snow Ape Beast cores.]

ʼEn, you are right, Mei.ʼ Zhang Fei then turned to Shen Yu and asked her. ”Yuʼer, which beast do you think is better? Frost Lynx, Ice Spider, or Snow Ape?”

Shen Yu herself felt confused by that, so she then turned to her mother, and Shen Xueyi immediately answered Zhang Fei. ”Ice Spider and Snow Ape are earth-rank beasts, and Frost Lynx are heaven-rank beasts, so I think Frost Lynx is the best.”

”Alright then.” Zhang Fei nodded in agreement before taking ten advanced-grade beast cores from the system inventory, all of which were Frost Lynx Beast cores, and he inserted all of them into the ten holes in the capsule afterward.

{Ding}

{10 Frost Lynx Beast Cores detected.}

{Do you want to start the mutation process?}

ʼYes!ʼ Zhang Fei answered without hesitation.

{Ding}

{The mutation process begins.}

After that, the capsuleʼs interior brightened, and the mutation process had already begun. The capsuleʼs anesthesia and cooling systems ensured Lan Zhen would not experience any pain during the process.

Zhang Fei sighed softly and said to them. ”Now we just need to wait for the process to finish.”

”Please explain the truth to us, Zhang Fei. What exactly is the equipment used for? What kind of process is Lan Zhen undergoing?” Shen Xueyi really couldnʼt contain her curiosity any longer.

Shen Yu nodded in agreement with Shen Xueyi, as she herself was also curious about the function of the capsule, especially since Zhang Fei used the frost lynx beast cores in the capsule.

Zhang Fei pulled Shen Yu into his arms before explaining the situation to them, but he didnʼt tell them the truth. ”Actually, this capsule is one of the pieces of equipment from my home realm, and its function is to turn humans into other beings, so-”

”What!?” Both women instantly exclaimed in shock.

Shen Xueyi then stuttered. ”You... you want to turn Lan Zhen into another being?”

”Donʼt tell me that you want to turn Lan Zhen into a Frost Lynx, Fei?” Shen Yu asked in shock.

Zhang Fei answered them with a nonchalant nod. ”She is an evil woman, and her clan is also a vassal of the Pang Clan, so I donʼt need to have any mercy on her, right? Regardless, once she transforms into a Frost Lynx, she will lose all memories of her past, so you guys donʼt need to worry about her.”

Zhang Feiʼs answer made Shen Yu and Shen Xueyi take a deep breath, and they felt that he was too cruel in his intention to turn Lan Zhen from a human into a beast. Even so, they did not deny that she was indeed evil, but they thought it would be better if he killed her directly.

Zhang Fei himself was not surprised by the two womenʼs reactions, but he did not say anything further and focused on checking everyone in the tower, and he found Shen Tianyu having fun with Shen Shixi in his room. ʼYou can have fun now, especially since you will die next week, and Yuʼer will be completely mine by then.ʼ

.

After they waited for a few hours, the capsule finally stopped operating, and the light that had previously enveloped it immediately disappeared.

{Ding}

{The mutation process is complete.}

{All of Frost Lynxʼs vital signs are stable.}

{The wake-up process is complete.}

*Swoosh*

Zhang Fei quickly opened the capsuleʼs glass cover, revealing an adult blue Lynx standing on top, staring at him and the four women in confusion.

”Lan Zhen really turned into a Frost Lynx.” Shen Xueyi muttered to herself, her gaze fixed on the beast in front of her with an expression of disbelief; even Shen Yu was shocked to see it.

Zhang Fei walked over to the frost lynx and observed her body. ʼScan her, Mei.ʼ
