The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 391: Chapter 391: Do You Really Love Prince Ling?

Han Yuxiao turned quite pale, not even knowing how to react, she stood there stiffly, completely unable to think.

She had been spoiled from a young age, willful and reckless, and she couldn’t even distinguish right from wrong in many matters. She never considered what she should or shouldn’t do; she only thought about herself, whether she was happy or not, never if others were happy.

But her father’s words were like a thunderbolt, striking hard at her heart. Was she afraid of death? Of course, she was afraid of death, but she always thought that no matter what she did, her father and brothers would support her, and she had nothing to be afraid of. But now her father told her that there were times even he couldn’t protect her because she was too utterly wrong.

She felt triumphant after dealing with Han Jing and never thought about what harm this might cause to Han Jing. But her father said, what if she put herself in Han Jing’s position and thought about it? What would happen? If she were Han Jing and was framed, humiliated, and lost her innocence, she would probably torment the other party to death and then wouldn’t have the courage to live on herself.

She used to hate Han Jing for taking away things that originally belonged to her, but never thought about what it would be like if she were Han Jing. From a young age, Han Jing had been ridiculed for her unattractive appearance. She always called her Han Chouyu, but Han Jing had never really done anything to her. If someone called her that, she would probably have beaten them to death long ago!

Han Jing took Su Xingyan away... but now when she thinks about it, when did Su Xingyan ever treat Han Jing well? Even if she knew now that Su Xingyan had fallen for Han Jing, what had he done for her? ... Nothing at all, so what, exactly, was she jealous about?

Jealous that Han Jing was engaged to Su Xingyan? But what of it, Su Xingyan once wished Han Jing dead...

Jealous that Han Jing got more than she did? She had the love of her parents and brothers, what did Han Jing have? Only the Eldest Princess treated her well...

When she never considered things from their perspective, she never felt there was a problem with what she did and always thought that whatever Han Jing suffered, she deserved it. But up until this moment, until she imagined, if she were Han Jing... she realized that she might not have the courage to live at all.

Han Yuxiao only felt a burning pain on her face, like being slapped hard, so painful that her whole mind went blank.

”Xiao’er, do you really like Prince Ling? If you were to marry him now, how would you feel?” It was at this moment that General Han suddenly asked.

Han Yuxiao’s first reaction was instinctual, a jolt of delight, but then, her gaze dimmed.

These days, she actually thought a lot.

She wondered if the Brother Ling Wang she always liked, whom she believed to be the best man in the world, really was. Not to mention that he now liked Han Jing. Even if he didn’t, even when it was still in the past, when marrying him was her wish, did she really love him as much as she imagined?

Many details are overlooked and unexplored, allowing one to delude oneself, but once delved deeply, one realizes that all the beauty she had assumed was merely wishful thinking.

Han Yuxiao’s tears suddenly fell.
