The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 377: Chapter 377: She Doesn’t Want to Sleep With Him—What About Him?

Su Yu stared intently at Han Jing and said seriously,

”I owe you a bridal chamber.”

Han Jing...

Owe—your—uncle!

Han Jing’s heart was roaring. She vowed she decided not to talk to Su Yu for a month.

Forget it, a month is a bit too long. Half a month, maybe not, living under the same roof, that’s quite difficult, so just three days!

After Han Jing made this decision, she felt a bit better. But then she thought, if because of this she ignores him for three days, wouldn’t it show she actually cares, meaning she cares about him?

No way, no way, she absolutely cannot let him see through her. Otherwise, what if he thinks she is eager? Hmph, she doesn’t want to sleep with him!

Han Jing pondered for a while and still decided to act normally, so he wouldn’t misunderstand her.

”Yesterday afternoon Su Xingyan came to see me, saying that Prince An and the Crown Prince have teamed up and seem to be plotting against us. Prince An should have guessed about He Yanxin’s affair by now. If he joins hands with the Crown Prince, they certainly won’t let us go! So I think, no matter what, we cannot let the Crown Prince ascend the throne. Since Brother Qiao has returned, shouldn’t we persuade him to take over? Wouldn’t this be good for all of us? What do you think?” Han Jing calmly switched the topic, determined not to let him know what she truly felt inside!

However, Han Jing overlooked that her eyes were not as calm just now. Her little thoughts were transparent in Su Yu’s eyes.

Yet Su Yu had no intention to expose her. He had quite obviously sensed that Han Jing was upset, but he was curious how she could swallow her pride and not fuss over it.

No matter what, he owed her a bridal chamber on their wedding night, which was indeed a bit embarrassing for her.

Since she didn’t bring it up, he naturally wouldn’t make her uncomfortable. If she really misunderstood, he would let her misunderstand for now. After the child is born, he would explain everything to her.

”Qiao’er, he doesn’t have the ambition to rule the world.” Her idea was good. Given the situation, persuading Su Xingqiao to take the throne would indeed be the best option. Brother’s health has been worsening recently, and he’s very hesitant about this matter. He is reluctant to oust the Crown Prince and couldn’t bear for a bloody storm to follow his ascension, leaving him utterly exhausted—it seems he won’t hold out much longer.

But he indeed mentored Su Xingqiao for years, and understands his mind. He isn’t driven by great ambitions. He wanted to go to the Northern Land to prove himself once.

Now that he’s done it, he may not agree to take over this mess. After all, the Crown Prince has a deep foundation in the court, and sitting firmly on the throne won’t be an easy task.

Han Jing didn’t see it that way: ”Of course, I know Brother Qiao doesn’t have this ambition, but now it’s not about whether he has it or not. It’s about the consequences if the Crown Prince ascends the throne. He doesn’t want to oppose the Crown Prince, but the Crown Prince already sees him as an enemy. Otherwise, why would he secretly draw courtiers to his side if he can rightfully ascend the throne? Isn’t it to clear away all obstacles after his ascension? Now he’s teamed up with Prince An; how could you not understand his intentions?”
