The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 361: Chapter 361: It Must Be Su Yu’s Doing!

Prince An, in anger, had the person beaten and thrown out, then sought out two renowned doctors in the city, all of whom reached the same conclusion, advising Prince An to accept the inevitable: He Yanxin was beyond cure.

Today, Prince An had only this one daughter, whom he cherished like his own eyeball, and now such a thing had happened, it had driven him to the brink of madness!

He summoned everyone from He Yanxin’s courtyard for interrogation and discovered that yesterday He Yanxin had sought someone to kidnap Han Jing. Eventually, a person came and took He Yanxin away. That person was exceptionally good-looking. Apart from this, they knew nothing else, not even when He Yanxin returned. One of the two dead people found in He Yanxin’s bed was the person she brought into the residence yesterday to kidnap Han Jing!

Prince An had never met Zhang He, but being the local authority in the Southern Land, he had often sought the services of Spirit Cultivators, so he remembered Chen Jiu to some extent. He called his personal guards to identify him, and upon confirming that he was indeed Chen Jiu, known as Jiugui in his circles, he turned pale and was greatly shocked.

What on earth was going on?

Prince An pondered for a long time and finally concluded that this matter must be related to Han Jing and Su Yu. Last night, Su Yu sought the Emperor’s permission to marry Han Jing. His Xin’er had been taken by Su Yu before, so it was not difficult to guess that his Xin’er’s current condition was certainly Su Yu’s doing!

However, Prince An was no fool; anyone capable of killing Jiugui had a strength he could not match directly!

Though he seldom returned to the capital, he had heard that the Eldest Princess Su Yaogeng and Prince Yu Su Yu were masters at the Spirit Cultivation Level. However, having dealt with Spirit Cultivators quite often in the Southern Land, they seemed no different in his eyes. As long as the price was right, they could still work for him. If his daughter could really marry Su Yu, with such a son-in-law and his military power, he might even seize the throne, and his daughter could become the Empress.

But he did not expect that despite multiple attempts to mention it to the Emperor, the Emperor would not respond, and though he managed to speak with Su Yu last night, Su Yu intended to marry Han Jing instead.

Last night, he had a secret talk with the Crown Prince, who promised that as long as he helped him ascend to the throne, he would bestow a marriage on his daughter. Although Prince Ling Su Xingyan had some past with Han Jing, his actions at night were purely to prevent the Eldest Princess and Prince Yu from uniting, with no sincere intentions. Thus, if he was willing, he could marry his daughter to Prince Ling as a consort and immediately make him a Prince upon his ascension, at which time his daughter would be the Princess Consort, and his command over the Southern Land would remain unshaken.

Prince An was very satisfied with the Crown Prince’s promise. It was rare for the Crown Prince to be so understanding of the situation, and they had quite an enjoyable conversation.

He returned today intending to persuade Xin’er again, advising her not to be too stubborn, as there were plenty of men better than Su Yu. But he never imagined that such a thing would happen!

Now it seems neither Su Yu nor Su Yaogeng were as simple as he thought! Jiugui was a master at the Orange Flame Level, ranking among the top in his circles, and anyone able to kill him had power beyond his own! In this situation, confronting Su Yu directly seemed quite impossible!
