The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 356: Chapter 346: Her Heart Is Already in Turmoil

Han Jing believes that, during the time she has spent with Su Yu, it is unlikely that Su Yu has any ulterior motives towards her. She is not foolish; she knows her own worth and is aware of the huge differences between them. Su Yu treats her differently not because he wants something from her.

That’s why it’s even more baffling and unbelievable to her.

So there are only two explanations.

First, as he and Yun Feng said, she has saved his life. But after thinking carefully, Han Jing realizes that before she was reborn, she had no substantial contact with Su Yu, let alone saving his life.

Second, Su Yu has fallen in love with her.

These two explanations might be close to the truth, yet they seem somewhat distant from the actual answer.

What if they are combined? Su Yu likes her because she saved his life? This could be possible, but when did she ever save him? Could it enable him not to care that she is pregnant with another man’s child and still marry her...

At this thought, Han Jing’s heart suddenly skips a beat; pregnant with another’s child... At that time, when she asked Uncle Xu to handle it, he had already dealt with it, and she did not give it much thought because she didn’t care who that person was, as they were already dead. But now recalling, in the entire Capital City, only Su Yu would have done such a thing.

Why would he do this?

The incident happened in Baihua Garden, which also belongs to Su Yu. Why is it so coincidental?

Han Jing suddenly shakes her head; it’s impossible, how could such absurd things happen?

Su Yu looks at Han Jing shaking her head and asks, ”What’s wrong?”

Han Jing reaches out to pat her slightly flushed face, then holds her face and looks at Su Yu, ”I’m just curious, is there anything you don’t know how to do?”

Su Yu...

He reaches out to poke her forehead, ”What nonsense are you thinking?”

Then pulls over her hand, ”Just close your eyes.”

Han Jing obediently nods and closes her eyes.

No matter what suspicions she has, she can’t show any evidence of it. Su Yu is too smart; Han Jing is sure that if she shows even a hint of doubt, he could guess it.

Warmth flows from her palm, like a stream of warmth entering her body, making her feel extraordinarily comfortable. She suddenly recalls the last time she accidentally fell asleep in Su Yu’s room. Initially, he had quietly transferred Spiritual Power to her, no wonder that after returning home, she felt much better, as if her spiritual power had reached another level. If it weren’t for this, she wouldn’t have dared to make a move today, let alone treat Su Xingqiao’s wounds after a fierce battle.

Turns out, all this time, Su Yu had been silently protecting her without her knowing.

He had said he would protect her, and he wasn’t just saying it.

Han Jing is indifferent, but she isn’t heartless. The reason she can still calmly ponder why Su Yu treats her so well is due to the training she received. The instincts she developed as an assassin over the years tell her never to touch love, or she’d end up dead and buried. She’s seen more than one partner perish in love, turning to ashes and smoke in death. She wants to live, so all these years, she’d dared to try anything but never dared to fall in love.

But now, she knows her heart is already in turmoil.
