The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 390: Chapter 390: Do Not Impose on Others What You Do Not Desire Yourself

This favor, the Han Family owes it.

Su Yaogeng waved his hand and left, refusing General Han’s offer to escort him out.

Only after Su Yaogeng left did Han Yuxiao sneak in from outside, looking timidly at General Han, wanting to speak but hesitating.

General Han knew she had been eavesdropping just now, and so did the Eldest Princess, which is why she refused his escort.

General Han did not look at Han Yuxiao but rose to enter the study, and Han Yuxiao followed him in.

General Han laid out paper and pen, quickly wrote a letter, gave instructions, and then ordered a trusted aide to deliver it immediately. After completing these tasks, he finally looked at Han Yuxiao.

Han Yuxiao kept her head down, but her face was burning.

In her eyes, her father had always been a remarkable figure. When she was young, she rarely saw him, as Mother always said he was a great hero fighting in battles to protect the country, a meritorious figure of Nanyao Country. Having such a father, she had always been very proud.

Later, when her father returned, since she was the only girl in the family, he showed her particular affection, making her feel that whatever she wanted, her father would obtain for her.

She never thought there would come a day when her father would grow old and even bend down to plead for her.

She had never considered that she did anything wrong before, and even now she didn’t know where she went wrong, but she was filled with shame, ashamed that she had caused her father so much worry.

In recent days, when Mother cried and asked her to behave and stop misbehaving, she argued that she did nothing wrong and even found her annoying. Only now did she start to feel that perhaps she truly had made a mistake.

”Father, I’m sorry,” Han Yuxiao said in a low voice, her head bowed.

General Han did not scold her but calmly asked, ”Then tell me, what did you do wrong?”

”I...” Han Yuxiao looked up at General Han, opened her mouth, and after a long while said, ”I, I made you and Mother worry about me.”

General Han shook his head, looked at Han Yuxiao, and sighed, ”Xiao’er, do you know that you almost lost your life?”

Han Yuxiao was still a bit defiant: ”I didn’t threaten her life... I...”

”Shut up!” General Han shouted, startling Han Yuxiao, who looked at him with some grievance.

General Han looked at her and coldly said something that Han Yuxiao would never forget: ”If someone dared to harm my daughter like that, I would tear them to pieces!”

Han Yuxiao turned pale, her whole being somewhat dazed, staring blankly at General Han, at a loss for what to do.

After a long time, General Han finally spoke earnestly: ”Xiao’er, you are the only girl in the family. From a young age, whether it be your mother, me, or your brothers, we have all doted on you immensely. But as Han Family members, we have always acted with integrity, never engaging in unscrupulous deeds. If you truly like Prince Ling, then strive to make him like you too. If you both are sincerely in love, even if I have to put my old face on the line, I will go to the Emperor to fight for you. But what is the reality? Has Prince Ling ever shown any affection towards you? Do you know the principle of ’Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself’? Imagine yourself in Princess Chenyu’s position, how would you feel if she did that to you? Do you understand that you have done such a thing that even if the Eldest Princess wanted to execute you, I would have no face to plead for you!”
