The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 376: Chapter 376: I Owe You a Wedding Night

Su Yu’s lips gently fell onto Han Jing’s lips, a sudden surge of emotion stirred within Han Jing. She never realized that such a simple closeness could evoke such intense feelings; she felt as though she was captivated, both confused and eager.

Han Jing involuntarily closed her eyes, following her heart’s desire, entwining her arms around Su Yu’s neck. Their breaths mingled, her heartbeat pounding like a drum, intense and anxious. She felt her outer garments sliding down bit by bit, the air she breathed was permeated entirely with his familiar scent.

Yet at that moment, just as she was about to be engulfed by the tide of emotions, Su Yu suddenly paused, kissed her forehead, and softly said, ”I’m sorry.”

Han Jing...

The warmth on Han Jing’s body had yet to dissipate, leaving her slightly dumbfounded. Was he... not going to continue?

Damn it!

He had left her teased and bewildered, and now he stopped?

A flood of frustrations surged through Han Jing’s mind—

So, after all this, was she just being overconfident?

Han Jing was completely unsettled...

Yet her face remained emotionless. If she asked why, would it be too embarrassing?

Su Yu, for the first time in his life, uttered the words ”I’m sorry,” never expecting it to be at this moment.

At this very moment, every inch of his skin was burning hot, as if on the verge of exploding, allowing him to truly feel the pain of intense desire. He almost forgot how many years it had been since he felt anything in this body; he had become numb to all sensation long, long ago.

On the surface, he seemed calm, but in truth, his desire was barely controllable; he yearned wildly to possess her, to hold her close to his heart.

But he couldn’t.

She didn’t know what was going on with her pregnancy, but he did. He had transferred all of the Blood Flame Poison in his body to her, and from her pregnancy until now, she appeared fine. Still, the child was far more fragile than they imagined. If it weren’t for the spiritual energy he had given her to protect her, along with the daily nurturing from the Natural Spirit Stone, she wouldn’t have been able to keep this child safe, especially after the recent fight.

The more he cared for her, the more he cared for this child. Because once anything happened to the child, she would also suffer; her body would be greatly harmed, and it was highly possible she would never have another child. Despite Yun Feng’s subtle hints that a little caution would prevent issues, he still dared not take that risk.

He really was sorry to her; only he knew the extent of the hurt he had caused her, a hurt that nothing he did could ever make up for.

As long as this child was born, she would finally be truly safe, so now, he couldn’t touch her.

Indeed, he had acted impulsively just now, almost making a mistake.

So he truly was sorry to her.

Han Jing bowed her head, avoiding looking at Su Yu’s face. Heaven knew she truly wanted to punch him at this moment. What were they doing? Sorry for what? Sorry for starting a wedding night and then... she just couldn’t bring herself to say anything about such a delicate matter. Setting aside that night with no memory, this was the first time she felt desire for a man! Was that easy for someone like her, who was naturally indifferent?

”I owe you a wedding night.”
