Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1545: Chapter 1546: Showing Off

In the blink of an eye, it was the day for little Qi Xiaoqi’s full moon celebration. Although the banquet would be held in a restaurant, that’s for dinner, and at home, neighboring families would come to congratulate them. Not to mention, the family would come to see the grandson first.

So, Cheng Su got up early, took care of her son with Mother Cheng, and arranged some snacks and candies at home, preparing tea and other things to welcome the guests.

Additionally, fearing too many people might come and there wouldn’t be enough space, they set up a table at Guiying’s side, with chairs and other preparations.

Of course, those who came would definitely be very close relatives and friends, so Cheng Su was not flustered.

Qi Taiguo was not at home; even though it was his son’s big day, army rules were strict. If he could get off work before the banquet, it would be a blessing.

The first to arrive in Qing City, naturally, were the grandparents. Qi Fenglian took the day off today and let the manager at the shop handle things, while she and Xiao Yun waited at the bus station to pick them up early.

Upon seeing her family, Qi Fenglian murmured a prayer. She was really scared after hearing bad news when Mother Qi came last time and missed picking them up, afraid history might repeat itself.

Now that everyone had arrived safely, she was naturally grateful to the Bodhisattva for their protection.

Since it was the grandson’s big day, Father Qi and his party took the earliest bus, so they arrived in Qing City just around noon.

”Mom and Dad, in-laws, Second Aunt, it’s noon already. After such a long ride, why not have lunch at the fast food place before heading over?” Qi Fenglian suggested.

This was Cheng Su’s arrangement; things were hectic on her side, and even if they cooked, it wouldn’t be much. Thinking the family would arrive at noon, it was convenient to eat at the fast food place first, and it was just a ten-minute walk from the bus station to the fast food place.

The group was hungry after several hours on the bus, so naturally, they agreed, except for Mother Qi, who said, ”Let’s go to my son’s house first and eat at home; a little wait won’t hurt!”

She was eager to see her grandson, hunger was bearable!

”Mom, it’s just a little while longer. It’s unknown how many guests there’ll be at Taiguo’s house; they might not be able to entertain everyone. There’s little space at home, and if the meal isn’t well-organized, wouldn’t it be embarrassing?” Qi Fenglian said with a smile.

”Exactly, let’s eat first, it’s convenient at the shop too!” Father Qi glanced at his wife, knowing full well what she was thinking.

”Right, in-law, you might be so intrigued by the grandson that you don’t feel like eating!” Father Cheng said with a chuckle.

Mother Qi’s face turned slightly red; seeing everyone say so, she had no other choice but to agree, ”Since everyone’s hungry, let’s eat first and then go.”

So, Qi Fenglian led everyone to the fast food place. Father Qi and the others had been to the shop before, but Second Aunt and the others hadn’t. Hearing that this shop belonged to Cheng Su, they clicked their tongues in admiration.

”This is nothing; the restaurant for tonight’s full moon banquet for my grandson is impressive; that’s also opened by Taiguo’s wife.” Mother Qi took the rare opportunity to brag.

Qi Fengping and Qi Jianguo exchanged a glance and couldn’t help but chuckle secretly.

Second Aunt Qi, of course, knew Mother Qi’s personality, and was aware of Cheng Su’s abilities. Now that Qi Taiguo was a high-ranking official, naturally, she could only shower her with compliments, almost lifting Mother Qi to the heavens.

”It’s nothing, nothing; Jianming also makes a lot of money.” Mother Qi said modestly, feeling proud.

How fake, Qi Fengping rolled her eyes!
