Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1526: Chapter 1527: A Blunt and Shameless Person

They say Sister-in-law Song is a straightforward, no-nonsense person, and they weren’t wrong. She came over with her kids for a visit. Even though it was her first time, she came empty-handed, which was one thing. But talking to Cheng Su, she’d say anything without filtering.

Moreover, she kept eating while talking, not holding back.

Cheng Su watched coldly. She’d been sitting for about an hour and had eaten two apples, five pieces of date cake, and two pieces of Sachima snacks, all of which were prepared by Cheng Su’s household.

It would have been fine if she just ate herself, but she went ahead and fed her son too.

Cheng Su was very annoyed and yawned twice, showing her fatigue.

Those with tact would take this as a sign to leave, but Sister-in-law Song acted as if she didn’t notice and kept talking loudly, her voice buzzing around the room.

Even Qi Xiaoqi couldn’t stand it any longer. He had been lying on the sofa next to Cheng Su and suddenly started crying loudly.

Cheng Su was startled. Her son had never cried like this before. She checked to see if he needed changing but found nothing wrong. Could he be afraid of the noise?

She had no choice but to pick up her son and say to Sister-in-law Song, ”Sister-in-law Song, I need to nurse the baby and put him to sleep now.”

Anyone could tell from her tone that it was time for guests to leave.

But Sister-in-law Song didn’t get it. She grabbed another piece of cake and said, ”Oh, it’s fine. Go ahead and feed him. I’ll watch some TV!” Then she added, ”You all really have some skills here. I see only your family has such a big color TV!”

Cheng Su frowned and forced a smile: ”No, my child is a light sleeper and can’t be disturbed by noise. I only turned on the TV because he’s awake. When he’s sleeping, I don’t turn it on, and even if I do, the volume is very low.”

It was only then that Sister-in-law Song realized she was being asked to leave. She said ”Oh,” stuffed the cake into her mouth, clapped her hands, and called to her sons, rather unclearly, ”Wen and Wu, get up. It’s time to go home and not disturb your aunt putting your younger brother to sleep!”

Wen and Wu...

Cheng Su wanted to laugh but held it in.

”But I want to watch TV!” Xiao Wu pouted.

Cheng Su said, ”Xiao Wu, be good. I need to put your brother to sleep. You can come back to watch another time!”

Xiao Wu was not happy, so Sister-in-law Song gave him a pat on the back of his head, making the child burst into tears. She dragged him away, crying all the way home, the sound loud enough to shake even Cheng Su’s side.

Cheng Su quickly asked Mother Cheng to close the door. Seeing the mess on the table, she couldn’t help but shake her head.

That Sister-in-law Song really had no sense, thick-skinned; it seemed she was the kind of person who didn’t care about propriety.

”Goodness, how much did she eat?” Mother Cheng also noticed, frowning.

She had come to Qing City to take care of her daughter. She had seen all sorts of good things and wasn’t possessive of food; she also came from a rural background, but she never lacked manners like this. Sister-in-law Song was truly... unreasonable.

”Mom, could you please tidy up?” Cheng Su said with a headache. ”From now on, let’s keep the door closed when we’re in and out of the house!”

”What do you mean by that?” Mother Cheng was taken aback.

Cheng Su quietly recounted Sister-in-law Song’s antics, and Mother Cheng was left speechless, saying, ”It seems like your new neighbor isn’t going to be easy to deal with!”

Cheng Su gave a bitter smile. True enough, if someone is shameless, they’re unbeatable. If Sister-in-law Song were to let loose, who knows what would happen!

”It’ll be better once the houses are divided!” Cheng Su comforted her mother and herself.

Meanwhile, Little Qi Xiaoqi, with his lively, rolling eyes, stopped crying the moment the Song family left, showing just how clever he was.
