CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 286: Chapter 294: Looking for the Mobile Phone

Jane Sampson quieted down for a few seconds and then, slowly, she seemed on the verge of hopping mad, roaring, ”James Black!”

Only then did James Black casually continue, ”I tossed it in the cabinet in the guest room.”

”I’ll go get it.” Jane Sampson said as she tried to stand up, but James Black pushed her back down.

”Sit back down and dry your hair first,” James Black grumbled with a frown, ”Didn’t you say you were going to sleep after you dry your hair? What’s there to get? Bring it here just to throw it on the floor?”

”The rabbit can sleep in the bed; our bed is big enough,” Jane Sampson explained earnestly.

”You also said it’s our bed. As the bed’s other owner, I disagree with letting that ugly rabbit sleep on my bed. Get rid of those thoughts in your mind that you think no one knows about,” James Black this time truly didn’t hold back from knocking on Jane Sampson’s head.

Jane Sampson held her head where it had been hit and humphed at James Black, then turned her body to show her back to him.

Jane Sampson’s hair was very thick, and it took James Black a full 20 minutes to completely dry it. She did not even say a word of thanks. As soon as he told her it was done, she scampered up the bed, comfortably leaned against the head of the bed, and then smiled at him.

”I’m going to sleep now, good night! You go take a bath quickly!” Jane Sampson’s eyes slanted into mischievous fox-like shapes.

”Hmm.” James Black put the chair and hairdryer back in place before he took his stuff and entered the bathroom.

As soon as James Black stepped in, Jane Sampson immediately jumped out of the bed barefoot and began searching the entire room for James Black’s phone.

Mobile phone! Mobile phone!

Where did that guy put his phone?

Her ugly photos!

They must be deleted!

Jane Sampson nearly turned the room upside down without finding James Black’s phone. She turned towards the bathroom and mumbled to herself, wondering if he could have taken the phone with him inside.

Feeling disheartened, Jane Sampson sat back on the bed, turned her head to look at James Black’s pillow, huffily picked it up with the intention to pound it as if it were James Black to vent her frustration when, to her astonishment, the thing she had been searching for half a day suddenly appeared right before her eyes.

Huh?

Jane Sampson picked up James Black’s phone like a treasure, muttering, ”When did he start the habit of keeping his phone under the pillow?”

Didn’t daddy Black say that mobile phones emit high radiation, and leaving them under the pillow can affect a person’s brain during the night?

Such a sly daddy Black, saying one thing and doing another.

James Black’s phone has never had a password set because there’s never any important information on it. Jane Sampson first entered James Black’s phone album and without a second thought deleted all her unflattering photos she had sent to his phone. When she prepared to delete the group photos of her and James Black, she hesitated, not willing to let go.

If those photos were deleted, there would be no backups.

They might be a bit ugly, but it’s not like they were heading to a beauty contest, and it seemed a pity to just delete them.

Jane Sampson thought for a moment and then opened James Black’s WhatsApp, intending to add herself back and send the photos to her own WhatsApp so she could back them up before deleting them from James Black and his phone.

But when Jane Sampson opened James Black’s WhatsApp, she froze as she saw the list of James Black’s friends.

Unbeknownst to her, she was surprisingly lying there in James Black’s friends’ list.

Uh, the contact name James Black had for her was—wife.

What the heck?

If it weren’t for the avatar, Jane Sampson might have thought James Black had a second mistress!
