CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 282: Chapter 290: Beautiful Lip Shape

”You know, this lipstick has been out for a few years now. What’s up? Out of the blue, you’re asking me about women’s stuff, it’s quite surprising.” If it were someone else, Alexander Forest would definitely tease about whether it’s meant as a gift for some mistress out there.

But when it comes to James Black, even with ten times the courage, he wouldn’t dare to ask.

When James Black starts cleaning house, you’d best admit defeat even if he’s not in front of you.

”Luxury goods like this lipstick, different from the regular ones, should be made to order, right? You know how to place a special order?” James Black might not be interested in women’s seasonal stuff, but that doesn’t mean he lacks common sense.

Ordinary lipsticks cost at most a few hundred or a thousand yuan, but for a lipstick that costs over 300,000, James Black knew without asking, it had to be a special custom edition.

”Right, this lipstick has a dedicated designer who crafts it according to each client’s individual conditions, including lip shape, lip color, and so on.” Alexander Forest was never without a girlfriend, and on top of that, he had both a mother and a sister at home—naturally, he was familiar with these things.

And, as a media industry boss, he naturally needed to have a deeper understanding of the fashion world.

”Lip shape?” At the mention of this word, Jane Sampson’s lips, which he had kissed, swelled slightly in his mind, but were so beautiful they could take a person’s life.

”Yes,” Alexander Forest said.

”Her lips are very beautiful,” James Black replied with earnest.

”???” Alexander Forest was utterly baffled, ”Whose lip shape are you saying is beautiful?”

”Who else do you think I could be talking about?” James Black’s voice suddenly turned cold.

That sentence carried a threat!

Alexander Forest’s buzz from the wine was scared away.

”Jane... Jane Sampson?” Alexander Forest felt like he had cleverly saved his own life, ”I knew you were buying it for your wife.”

To be honest, before James Black’s statement, Alexander Forest thought the lipstick was for Aunt Black.

”Here’s what you do: send me a photo of Jane Sampson with a bare face, clear enough to see her facial features. Then ask what brand and color of lipstick she regularly uses.” Alexander Forest said, ”Send it to me via WhatsApp, and I’ll forward the information to the person in charge over at JK.”

After speaking, Alexander Forest waited until he heard James Black utter a sound of acknowledgment, then he quickly ended the call and patted his small chest, mumbling, ”That really scared the life out of the president. Late-night calls about frightening things while a man’s drinking.”

James Black was buying lipstick for Jane Sampson, and not just any lipstick—it was the kind that goes for tens of thousands, a special custom edition.

Alexander Forest wondered, how had he never noticed before that Chief Black was such a romantic guy?

Has the wooden-head figured it out?

Is the strong silent type blooming at last?

Does he now understand that women need to be pampered?

Does he realize a wife isn’t just for show at home?

After ending the call, James Black scrolled through his phone. A bare-faced photo—so, a picture without makeup?

James Black’s phone did indeed have one. It was the group photo from their last trip to the wine market tourist zone, with a clear half-body shot. He picked one and sent it to Alexander Forest.

And as for the lipsticks Jane Sampson often used?

James Black remembered Jane used not to wear much makeup before. Suspecting she might not have many lipsticks, he opened the cosmetic storage box on her dressing table.

The result was, he was proven wrong.

Half the storage box was for lipsticks. Without counting closely, there were at least fifty.

All kinds of brands were present, naturally meaning all sorts of colors too.

Surprise was evident in James Black’s expression.

Had she bought these recently? Or had she always had them?
