CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 257: Chapter 265: Born with Natural Beauty

After finishing the call, Daniel Taylor didn’t speak again; instead, he passed a barbecue skewer to Jane Sampson next to him.

Daniel Taylor was well aware that the reasons behind William Rivers and Sophie Young being banned had little to do with Jane Sampson, as she didn’t have that much influence. Had it not been for his wife and his help, Jane might not have even entered the industry’s threshold by now. Daniel wasn’t oblivious to everything; he knew that his decision to let Jane attend the recording of that show to promote the film crew had raised some objections within the crew.

Even their agents had called him specially because of this, but Daniel Taylor simply ignored them.

At the position Daniel was in now, he had enough resources and capability to be willful.

Apart from the unexpected altercation between the fans of William Rivers, Sophie Young, and Jane Sampson, Jane’s performance in the show was noteworthy as well, and she did her best in promoting the film crew as much as possible.

Even the fame of Jane Sampson was driven up due to the fans’ disputes, and the TV series she was currently filming also entered everyone’s field of vision as a result.

The final publicity effect was better than what Daniel had expected.

Daniel hadn’t mentioned to Jane Sampson that he hadn’t been idle these past few days either and had also received many calls discussing advertisement cooperation.

Publicity for this drama hadn’t officially started yet, but its public awareness was already higher than any other work Daniel had filmed in earlier years during the production period.

Alice Worthington couldn’t fathom the true background of Jane but she always knew that Daniel Taylor had a good relationship with Jane. So she was all the more annoyed that she shouldn’t have impulsively spoken those words just now.

”Sorry, Director Taylor, there’s no discord between Jane Sampson and myself, it was just casual talk,” Alice Worthington wasn’t sure if Jane would still bother with her at this time, so she refrained from making a fool of herself by continuing the conversation with Jane.

For Jane Sampson, this was just a minor interlude, just as Daniel had said, the roasted lamb chops here were indeed very delicious. If it weren’t for the fear of getting internal heat from eating too much, Jane would definitely have indulged herself.

Since everyone would be busy the next day, nobody drank any alcohol, and the group dispersed a little past eleven o’clock.

There were many makeup artists in the film crew, and Quincy Forest was added temporarily so Jane Sampson wasn’t assigned to her, but instead was taken care of by the makeup artist who did Jane’s makeup during the costume fitting photos that day.

Quincy Forest glanced at the actor list assigned to her hand, uninterestedly refused the work out of caprice, and then sat next to Jane watching her getting makeup applied.

”Little Protein Prince said you often stay up late playing games, and that you get especially fierce once you’re engrossed in a game. I don’t understand how you can maintain such good skin?” Quincy Forest took the opportunity of Jane getting her makeup done to touch Jane’s hand.

Hands that were used to playing the piano, coupled with years of not doing housework and consistent maintenance, left Quincy Forest at a loss for words to compliment Jane Sampson’s palms.

”It must be innate beauty,” the makeup artist said with a smile, continuing Quincy’s topic. Having applied makeup for Jane before and knowing her soft nature and that she was Quincy’s colleague, the makeup artist carried on the conversation without any reservations.

”Compliments like that will make her proud,” Quincy Forest laughed and while she was still laughing, her mobile phone rang. She checked the caller ID, then left the makeup room to take the call.
