Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 70: Chapter 63: Change One by One

Luo Ye cut a few times and when reaching for the hair clip, she noticed Mao and Ah Dong both staring at her, seemingly hesitant to speak, then smiled: ”Just focus on your work, don’t mind me.”

”President Luo, how about...” Mao hesitated: ”How about I finish dealing with your classmate before discussing further?” The meaning was clear: President Luo, please, could you not torture yourself?

”It’s fine, forget it, don’t let it affect your performance.” Luo Ye casually pulled the curtain shut: ”Let’s not interfere with each other, we’ll see whose hairstyle is the most beautiful after we’re done!” Xiao Qing voluntarily stood by Luo Ye’s side: ”President Luo, can I be your assistant, please?”

”Sure, hand me the tools!” Luo Ye was quite pleased with Xiao Qing’s eagerness, she liked kids who were diligent with their eyes, mouth, and legs.

With the little boss’s orders given, Mao and Ah Dong naturally didn’t insist anymore, and concentrated, each sizing up their own customers, then scissors and trimmers flew in their hands like they were stuck to them, dazzling Tang Luo and Ying Nuo as they watched. Although the shape wasn’t visible yet, just seeing the skills used, one could tell they were no joke.

Thinking of the strands of hair falling behind the curtain on Luo Ye’s side, Ying Nuo, at a loss for words, sighed, took a post-it from in front of the mirror, wrote a line of text, and handed it to Tang Luo. Ah Dong, out of habit, glanced over— a bunch of English letters that looked like a ghost talisman, incomprehensible.

”Tangtang, did something about that motorcycle guy unsettle Luoluo?” That was the meaning of those ghost talisman lines, a game commonly played by Luo Ye, Tang Luo, and Ying Nuo, neither completely English nor exactly Chinese pinyin, impossible for outsiders to understand.

After thinking for a moment, Tang Luo also wrote a note and tossed it back. It meant, ”With Luoluo’s personality, it probably wouldn’t happen, really don’t understand, the change in appearance is too drastic, but don’t worry, if worst comes to worst, she can always go bald, that has some personality too!”

”Pfft!” Luo Ye was amused by Tang Luo’s comment and replied: ”That’s true, hair grows back, it’s no big deal!”

”Easy for you to say, you’re not the one cutting, why don’t you let Luoluo cut for you?”

”Come on, you didn’t let her cut yours either, we’re in the same boat, nobody to blame!”

”I’m worried I wouldn’t be presentable, aren’t I?”

”And you think I’m not? Mainly, why isn’t Luoluo worried? Even if she was stimulated, she should aim for a good design, right?”

”...”

The two chatted back and forth, happily using up the post-it notes at a visibly fast pace, casually placing the used notes next to the chair, since no one else could understand them anyway...

”Seems like you two are having a good time, I’m already done, do I need to shave it bald?” Ying Nuo and Tang Luo were too caught up in their chat, not noticing that Luo Ye had been standing next to them for a while, both startled by the sudden voice.

When their eyes turned towards Luo Ye, they were amazed!!! Long hair trimmed with excellent layering, a voluminous lift on the top, thinning down layer by layer, very chic and pretty, the soft tips of the hair hung just below the shoulders, crucially the beautiful slanted bangs perfectly showcasing Luo Ye’s exquisite small face, the charming phoenix eyes, and the little red mark at the forehead, all were splendidly visible again.

Not just Ying Nuo and Tang Luo, but Mao and Ah Dong also showed full admiration. They were startled by their little boss’s appearance, and had it not been for the little boss’s signal to stay quiet, they would have lavishly praised her, the words ”genius” constantly flashing in their minds.

Truth be told, Luo Ye herself didn’t dare accept the title of ”genius”, due to resentment harbored in her previous life, she was unwilling to interact with others and preferred hiding in her room tampering with hair designs to vent, practicing her skills until perfect, then began experimenting with her own hair, a peculiar hobby, which when discovered by her group mates, led them all unabashedly offering their heads for Luo Ye to handle.

As the proverb goes, ”the barber doesn’t cut their own hair”, yet this saying wasn’t suitable for Luo Ye, due to the reasons of persisting through special training, her arms were more flexible and agile than normal people, even though not fully recovered, cutting hair was not an issue.

Additionally, with modern trends swirling in her mind, even if she limited her performance whilst cutting her own hair, hiding minor flaws with hair design, outsiders couldn’t tell.

Everyone’s expressions left Luo Ye very satisfied, she spun around a circle, fully displaying her hairstyle to everyone, then found a rubber band to tie her long hair into a ponytail, instantly transforming from a fashionable, pure, charming girl into a perky, sweet sunny girl.

Coming to her senses, Ying Nuo first glanced at her own reflection in the mirror, since she’d been busy chatting earlier, she hadn’t paid much attention, her previously regulation long hair had been trimmed by Master Mao into sweet, pretty long hair with a gentle lady vibe, beautiful indeed, but when comparing to Luo Ye, she felt something was missing.
