Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 62: Chapter 58: No More Ren_2

Luo Ye glanced indifferently at Yang Mingfang: ”Teacher Yang, the reason why I firmly chose the sciences is precisely to avoid encountering you again. Even if it ends as Teacher Xiangyang predicted, I’d accept that. Avoiding you is my greatest wish, truly!”

”You...” Yang Mingfang said furiously, her face turning red: ”Ungrateful! You think I want to teach you? So arrogant!”

Luo Ye retorted fiercely: ”Being arrogant is still better than pretending to understand when I don’t!” She was truly angry. Her best subjects were language and English, and she had never hidden this, always ranking in the top three in each English exam. Why did this old hag always pick on her? Was it because she spoke too quickly for her to understand? She had tolerated this old woman for a long time. Should a student’s tolerance be boundless?

In fact, Old Lady Yang made a fool out of herself; she intentionally picked difficult questions for Luo Ye, often stumping herself instead, and although the classmates didn’t realize, it made her feel uncomfortable, acting like a gambler desperate to turn the tables, only to end up losing more miserably.

”Who are you saying pretends to understand?” Yang Mingfang’s face ballooned in anger.

”Teacher Yang, cool down, that’s not what Luo Ye meant, she’s not very articulate, don’t overthink it,” Teacher Yang, the head teacher, quickly intervened to pacify Yang Mingfang and gave Luo Ye a meaningful glance: ”Aren’t you going to apologize to Teacher Yang?”

”Teacher Yang, I’m sorry, you really misunderstood me. What I meant was that it’s better for me to be arrogantly self-aware than to pretend to understand!” As a student, Luo Ye knew when to stop, but the way she apologized sounded undeniably strange.

The teachers in the office, who were all ears, visibly shook their shoulders, a few quickly grabbing their cups to drink water to hide their emotions. The extremely prideful Yang Mingfang was about to explode; she pointed at Luo Ye, trembling and unable to utter a word.

Thinking about it, Yang Mingfang was over forty, and Luo Ye, worried she might actually have a health scare, quickly smiled and bid farewell to Teacher Yang. After the incident, Teacher Yang had also lost the mood to appease further. No matter what, respecting teachers is essential, and regardless of Yang Mingfang’s faults, her position still stood.

”Luo Ye, wait!” Just as Luo Ye walked a few steps, Yang Mingfang stopped her: ”Have your parents come to the school tomorrow if you don’t want to lose your chance to advance to senior year.”

”Teacher Yang, we have midterms tomorrow!” Luo Ye frowned; enough was enough, would she be like this if not pushed too far?

”I know there’s an exam; it’s you who’s taking it, not your parents. I want to see what kind of parents can raise such an ill-mannered child!” Yang Mingfang spat the words out angrily.

”As a teacher, you should neither abuse nor insult students and their parents without reason. What exactly do you want me to do?” Luo Ye’s voice carried a chill.

”Luo Ye, hurry back to the classroom and study!” panicked by the escalation of the issue, Teacher Yang quickly ushered Luo Ye out of the office.

”Teacher Yang, have some water. Kids these days are growing more and more individualistic; we teachers just have to adapt!” After pushing Luo Ye out, Teacher Yang swiftly poured a cup of water for Yang Mingfang.

Yang Mingfang gulped down several sips of water, still grumbling with dissatisfaction: ”Lately, nothing has been going well, and tonight I still have to... sigh!”

”Teacher Yang, actually, considering Luo Ye’s current English scores, you should really appreciate her. Why still...” At this, Teacher Yang abruptly stopped.

”Forget it, let’s not talk about this; I won’t be teaching her anymore, whatever!” Yang Mingfang waved her hand, but she was inwardly wryly smiling. Jealous, was she?

Indeed, she was jealous; the more she found fault with Luo Ye, the more she realized, that girl was even better than her. How could she accept this?>

After teaching for over twenty years, to find out she knew less than a student was infuriating. What’s worse, that student had been pretending for two years, intentionally lowering the class’ scores to prevent her from being rated as excellent. If she liked her, it would be weird!

Poor Luo Ye, blamed unfairly; if only she could be reborn back in freshman year, it wouldn’t affect Teacher Yang’s income and prestige.(*^__^*)

As soon as Luo Ye returned to the classroom and hardly sat down, Ying Nuo asked excitedly, ”So, did they force you to switch back to humanities?”

”NO, not only did I not switch, but I also ended up arguing with Master Yang. I guess the teachers in senior year won’t like me anymore, sigh!” Luo Ye feigned distress, sighing, ”I won’t have you to protect me anymore, what a hassle!”

”Just act!” Ying Nuo curled her lips. ”Do you still need someone to protect you? You could go up the mountain and fight a tiger alone now; you’re so audacious, I could fry it up and it would be delicious!”

Tang Luo turned his head and winked at her: ”Luoluo, maybe we could end up in the same class. Then I can protect you, and you can also protect me!”

”Sure!”

Seeing the smile on Ying Nuo’s face fade slightly, Luo Ye quickly poked her: ”Nuonuo, if anyone dares to mess with you, Tangtang and I will protect you together. Let’s see who dares to bully us sisters!”

”Sure!” A brilliant smile instantly bloomed on her cute face.

”Luo Ye, Luo Feng...” As the siblings pushed open the hospital room door, they were spotted by Song Meng, who excitedly shouted to greet them.

Luo Ye quickly walked over: ”Brother Song, you’re looking well.”

”If not for you, Jiejie and I would have been dead!” Song Meng was still very emotional; Pan Jie, who was on the adjacent bed, also just woke up, struggling to sit up, Luo Ye hurried over to help her: ”Sister-in-law, take it easy...” She looked puzzled at Song Meng, ”Why isn’t there anyone accompanying you through the night?”
