Chapter 913: Chapter 157: I Have a Special Interrogation Method

In the vertical spiral staircase, a thrilling chase was underway.

The shadow moved through the darkness, while Mr. Blind’s Bronze Ancient Sword always hovered in front of it—though called a blind man, Mr. Blind had his own means of ‘observing.’

As he leaped back and forth, a massive sound suddenly came from below the vertical spiral staircase, seemingly originating from the treasure vault… Mr. Blind frowned.

He had considered the possibility that the appearance of this strange shadow might just be a diversion. But he believed that Song Haoran and Song San, even if they encountered danger, could hold out for a while.

Song Haoran possessed a power that even made Mr. Blind wary. This was what he had told Old Master Song, about Song Haoran’s unique fate, and why he was always reluctant to take Song Haoran as his disciple.

Otherwise, Song Haoran would indeed have been an ideal candidate to cultivate his technique.

But the loud noise suggested that the situation was more serious than he had anticipated… Mr. Blind no longer planned to see what intentions this shadow had.

One strike, if the shadow escaped this time, he would return.

Thus, the Bronze Ancient Sword momentarily split into seven beams of sword light. Mr. Blind forcefully extended his finger forward, and the seven beams quickly shot toward the wall.

The first beam did not strike the shadow, but the following six beams instantly shot elsewhere—in almost an instant, the seven beams, piercing different places, connected like the pattern of the Big Dipper!

The area of the wall illuminated by the brilliance of these seven sword beams was now filled with a restraining power, trapping the shadow in an instant.

The shadow struggled several times but couldn’t break through the barrier of the sword light. Finally, Mr. Blind let out a small hum, forming a sword technique with his fingers, and pointed forward again.

A muffled groan echoed in the darkness, leaving a bloodstain on the wall, and then a figure fell, landing on the staircase.

Hiss, hiss!

The seven sword beams dropped instantly, encircling the figure. As lightning flashed between the sword beams, the figure hurriedly rose but was immediately struck by the electric light, letting out another pained sound.

Mr. Blind quickly approached and suddenly asked, “What was your purpose in luring me out?”

As the sword light flickered, the appearance of this figure became clear. She clutched her shoulder, blood seeping through her fingers from the spot where she had been struck.

Her hair covered half her face, and blood lingered at the corner of her mouth. She turned her face away, refusing to speak, only letting out a cold snort.

“A woman?” Mr. Blind frowned, suddenly adding, “You’re not human.”

The woman remained unresponsive. Mr. Blind pondered briefly, then directly took out a small peachwood sword from his sleeve and flicked it forward.

The small peachwood sword pierced into the woman’s body—yet she felt no unusual pain, just something entering her body.

She lowered her head slightly, then abruptly looked up, a hint of fear crossing her face.

Mr. Blind calmly said, “I can hear the source of your power. It seems to come from your heart… You should be a Vampire Species. The heart is your greatest weakness. What I’ve implanted is the Sword of Restraint; it hangs over your heart, ready to pierce it at my command.”

The woman gritted her teeth, finally turning her face away reluctantly.

Once the sword entered her body, it not only controlled her life at all times but also severed the source of her power, rendering her immensely weak at this moment—the injured spot now throbbed with excruciating pain, and her vampire self-healing ability seemed to have been restrained!

“Follow me.” Mr. Blind turned and left.

The seven sword beams at this moment converged into one, returning to the Bronze Ancient Sword. It spun in the air briefly, then returned to Mr. Blind’s side.

The woman gritted her teeth, finally struggling to her feet, slowly following this extraordinarily powerful human… Since there were Thirteen Clans and extraordinary organizations like the Magician’s Association in this world, it meant there were quite a few beings with Extraordinary Power.

…

…

Glancing at his arms, now gradually returning from their golden appearance to normal, Song Haoran let out a slight breath. The formidable power now lay dormant within him.

This was a mysterious force, one that disobeyed his command, emerging only at critical moments to save him.

Song Haoran glanced down at the ‘Sun God Badge’ he wore, slowly uttering the syllable, “Inti…”

His call yielded no response. Shaking his head, Song Haoran quickly picked up his equipment from the ground. As he shone the flashlight forward, he noticed the small spiders beginning to retreat, the crisis finally over.

Song Haoran swiftly retrieved his handgun too, aiming at the webs suspending people. He didn’t intend to sever these webs, but aimed only at where they connected to the rocks.

He caught people one by one, placing them gently on the ground.

But it took Song Haoran considerable effort to rescue everyone—yet he had no means to cut through the webs binding them.

Song Haoran was pondering a solution when he heard faint footsteps. Turning around, he saw Mr. Blind walking through the treasure vault’s large door.

“Thank goodness!” Song Haoran beamed brightly.

…

The webs binding Lluvia and others had been sliced through by Mr. Blind using the Bronze Ancient Sword. He had also listened to Song Haoran recount the story of the giant spider’s emergence.

Song Haoran said he finally hurled the bomb into the giant spider’s mouth, letting it swallow the device, which ultimately blew the creature to pieces. This seemed like a simple and common human strategy to deal with monsters, and sounded reasonable at first.

But hearing this, Mr. Blind quietly ‘observed’ Song Haoran—despite his closed eyes, Song Haoran felt as if being watched by something, causing a slight discomfort.

“Young Master Song indeed has great fortune,” Mr. Blind calmly said. “As they say, surviving great calamities must lead to future prosperity.”

“Haha… that’s great to hear.” Song Haoran chuckled awkwardly and then asked with concern, “Sir, how are they? Are they in any life-threatening danger?”

Mr. Blind calmly said, “Judging by their pulses, their lives are not at risk. They must have been injected with a neurotoxin by the spider you mentioned, causing paralysis and coma. Hmm… try feeding them these and see if it helps.”

Mr. Blind retrieved a small porcelain bottle from his traditional Chinese garment.

In the village, there was a saying that anything Mr. Blind produced must be excellent. Delighted, Song Haoran took it and immediately began administering it to everyone.

“By the way, sir, who is this woman?” Song Haoran now eyed the woman who had come with Mr. Blind.

She was injured, her gaze icy, watching silently.

“She should be a bloodsucker,” Mr. Blind calmly said. “I suspect her ability allows her to turn into a shadow, adept at hiding.”

Song Haoran immediately became vigilant.

Mr. Blind said, “Her power is sealed. She’s not a threat for now, but this woman is stubborn. She probably won’t speak easily.”

Song Haoran suddenly asked, “Sir, are you saying she has no ability to resist at all right now?”

Mr. Blind nodded.

Song Haoran suddenly gave a wicked smile, “Then could I take over and ask her some questions?”

Mr. Blind was taken aback, then nodded in agreement—this woman was entirely under his control, her life and death were just at his whim, posing no danger.

Song Haoran whistled and walked towards the woman, examining her up and down—she silently watched, showing no sign of retreat, even when Song Haoran was nearly pressed against her, she remained unmoved.

Song Haoran lifted the woman’s chin like a frivolous rogue, “May I know your surname, Miss?”

But the woman didn’t respond, so Song Haoran tried asking the same question in several different languages—finally using Arabic, the woman furrowed her brows.

Song Haoran observed carefully, knowing that this woman understood Arabic, and continued, “Beautiful lady, you know, there are many ways for a man to make a woman open her mouth.”

She finally spoke, sneering, “Do you dare? I’m a bloodsucker. Aren’t you afraid that I’ll bite you and turn you into a monster?”

“You don’t know there’s such a thing as a gag in this world? Are you stupid?”

Song Haoran caressed the woman’s earlobe with his finger, whispering, “I know a few chieftains. They have some peculiar hobbies… like training beauty dogs.”

This made her slightly moved, her expression becoming somewhat flustered.

Not far away, Mr. Blind, although not seeing well, had excellent hearing and shook his head hurriedly… everything was good about Young Master Song except his slightly wicked nature.

Mr. Blind simply sat down where he was, pretending not to have heard—since he handed this captive over to Song Haoran, he wouldn’t say much more, having the face of a strong person.

Seeing the woman’s slightly panic-stricken eyes, Song Haoran said, “Ah, having no ability to resist is wonderful, I love to do as I please.”

Song Haoran surveyed the woman’s entire body with an invasive gaze, then began circling her, occasionally touching her body lightly with his fingers.

She could no longer hold back and said, “Humph, only the incapable need to show their superiority in this way; it’s truly pathetic.”

“No, no, no, it’s not about capability.”

Song Haoran suddenly grabbed her shoulders from behind, pulling her whole body next to his, chuckling, “It’s about being able to do whatever I want with you while you are helpless, there’s a big thrill in that… hmm, I think I should tailor some special clothing for you. You say… what material should we use for the tail to feel like a dog’s tail?”

The woman’s eyes became more chaotic.

At this moment, Song Haoran’s fingers were slowly tracing down her spine with an evil grin, “You know, a tail can be inserted, and there’s a suitable place for insertion, like here…”

His fingers were already resting at the space between her lower back and butt, sliding down slowly.

“Gloria!”

She hastily blurted out a name, but she couldn’t see the complacent smile on Song Haoran’s face behind her.

“What’s the purpose?” Song Haoran whispered in Gloria’s ear.

But his fingers only paused, not releasing… currently positioned at the cleft.

Gloria pursed her lips, stubbornly refusing to open her mouth, but Song Haoran wasn’t in a hurry; he suddenly said coldly, “Oh right, I actually have some personal preferences too. I quite like bald women. Seeing your long hair gives me a strong urge to shave it all off… How about posting your bald photo on YouTube? Bald head, eh～～”

“Investigator! I’m an Investigator! This was just to investigate the castle incident! We suspect this is the work of some undisciplined bloodsuckers!” She almost said it all in one breath!

Mr. Blind raised his head and suddenly said, “You’re from the monitoring institution of the Thirteen Clans?”

Gloria nodded reluctantly.

Mr. Blind then said, “Young Master Song, let her go, knowing this is enough for us.”

Although Song Haoran was surprised, he didn’t argue, just nodded and truly released Gloria, stepping away.

Before leaving, Song Haoran couldn’t help but lightly tap Gloria’s raised butt, laughing softly, “What a pity.”

Gloria shivered instantly, feeling her pores opening up… Bald head, what a tail.

Song Haoran was about to ask Mr. Blind about the Thirteen Clans when suddenly, a chaotic hissing sound was heard.

It turned out to be a walkie-talkie that had fallen to the ground.

Song Haoran quickly picked up the walkie-talkie and heard Song Da’s voice, “Lao San, Lao San, Young Master? Young Master?”

“Mister Song Da, I hear you,” Song Haoran replied.

Song Da said, “Young Master, after clearing out a few waves of zombies, we found a place that looks like a lab. But it’s severely damaged here, we only found a relatively intact hard drive, nothing else… should we continue exploring?”

Song Haoran thought for a moment, then asked, “On the way, did you see any survivors?”

Though several days had passed, and they were in a zombie-infested Dungeon Maze, the chances of survival were slim, but Song Haoran still asked.

“No encounters.”

Song Haoran nodded, then glanced at Gloria, who was showing a listening expression, and suddenly said, “Understood, retrace your steps, the mission is canceled this time.”

Although Lluvia and others had taken Mr. Blind’s pills, there was no improvement, and they needed to relocate immediately, as Song Haoran considered.

Mr. Blind had no objection to this.

Soon after, Song Da and the others retreated along the original path. After some discussion, the group began evacuating, with Mr. Blind setting up a so-called inner border to protect the treasure vault before leaving. From now on, it would just take the Song Family’s manpower to empty this place.

This exploration ended here, with Song Haoran bringing back a female bloodsucker—Gloria.
