Chapter 931: Chapter 175: Tomb-Robbing Family (Part 1)

Twenty-four hours before Song Ying returned safely.

…

The plane landed, and Queen Elizabeth removed her eye mask and rubbed her eyes in the business class cabin.

“How did you sleep?” Zhong Luoyue casually asked from the side.

Queen Elizabeth yawned, “What time is it now, Yue?”

“Nine forty PM.” Zhong Luoyue flipped her wrist to check her watch and smiled, “It’s the beginning of the day.”

To vampires, who live with inverted schedules, the moon at nine PM feels like the sun seen by regular people during the day, probably just like that.

Queen Elizabeth glanced out the window beside her—the plane had landed at the airport in the Capital City of Hua Country. It was the height of winter in this country, and the night outside was vast and desolate.

Queen Elizabeth suddenly said, “This is my first time in this eastern country… this mysterious country.”

The boarding bridge was still being connected, so they continued to sit in their seats. Zhong Luoyue curiously asked, “You also find it mysterious?”

“It’s us now.” Queen Elizabeth smiled at Zhong Luoyue, “The Thirteen Clans have had certain rules, implicitly marking this country as a Forbidden Area, not easily letting vampires within the clan enter. In recent decades, there’s been news about a fifth-generation vampire encountering danger in this country, but aid was never forthcoming. When the inspection agency secretly retrieved this vampire’s belongings, only his remaining clothes could be found. His body had long turned to ashes.”

Zhong Luoyue asked in astonishment, “He was burned to death by the sun?”

Queen Elizabeth shook her head, “He died at night, during a full moon when our power is at its peak. I’ve read some ancient books; our ancestors always referred to this country as ‘China,’ saying it is home to powerful magicians and guardians called ‘true dragons,’ whose might is almost invincible, capable of calling wind and rain, moving mountains and seas…”

“It truly is…” Zhong Luoyue suddenly had a bitter smile.

She has always grown up in this country, yet she knows nothing about its mysterious aspects. Instead, she needs Queen Elizabeth to tell her.

It’s really quite ironic…

Zhong Luoyue suddenly felt uneasy, “Queen Elizabeth, if my country is very dangerous to you, then you…”

Queen Elizabeth, however, seemed indifferent, “It’s all right, even though it’s forbidden to enter here, quite a few vampires cannot resist their curiosity and come to this place. In fact, the Transcendent in this country are not many, and most are in a state of seclusion. As long as you don’t cause major panic here and keep a low profile without trouble, it’s very difficult to provoke those powerful Transcendent. That vampire who was eliminated back then seemed to participate in a war of invasion against this country, didn’t he? I’m not too sure… Oh, it seems he was from the Takizawa Family.”

A war of invasion decades ago, the Takizawa Family… vaguely only that war can be called a war of invasion decades ago, right?

Zhong Luoyue’s heart skipped a beat; in those red times, were there Transcendent figures behind as well… if so, was the country’s interior already aware of the existence of the Transcendent? Along with it, the Zhong’s Family in the capital city, known as one of The Four Great Families of the Capital?

Did her grandfather also have some unspeakable secrets?

At this moment, there was a slight tremor in the cabin. The boarding bridge was connected, and Zhong Luoyue got up first from her seat. But just then, her phone rang.

Zhong Luoyue glanced at the caller ID, and a smile appeared on her face. As soon as she answered this international long-distance call, she heard a displeased voice with a tone of reproach.

“It’s me indeed… you can have people block me at the airport, but I can’t have someone kidnap you? I’ve been tolerant enough, just casually had some hooligans come, unlike you, sending Team One…”

The call was abruptly disconnected… Zhong Luoyue smiled, not caring.

Her mood suddenly improved a lot…

“Anything wrong?” Queen Elizabeth at this time curiously glanced at Zhong Luoyue.

The third young lady of the Zhong Family lightly chuckled, “No, just greeting an old friend… Come on, there’s still some time, I’ll take you to see some sights of this country’s capital.”

“Okay.” Queen Elizabeth looked around the airport environment with curiosity.

Zhong Luoyue then looked back at the airplane just landed, sighing at this cross-national journey… truly a journey of wonders, she herself turned into a vampire.

She bitterly shook her head, then inadvertently glanced at Queen Elizabeth’s half-butterfly hairpin on her white hair… as well as that mysterious and powerful man.

Luo Qiu.

Suddenly she thought of that name, Zhong Luoyue was a bit lost… always feeling like she had heard this name somewhere.

Where could it be…

“Xiao Yue!”

Suddenly a call brought Zhong Luoyue back to her senses. She looked ahead, seeing a man in his thirties, brimming with masculinity.

“Big brother.” Zhong Luoyue nodded towards the masculine man.

It was none other than the eldest son of Zhong Luochen, the third generation of the Zhong’s Family in the capital city, Zhong Luoyun. At this moment, he was wearing a mink coat, a white suit, exuding a domineering aura.

Zhong Luoyun was very tall.

In fact, Zhong Luoyue was already considered tall among Oriental females, but she just reached Zhong Luoyun’s shoulder.

“Grandfather asked me to pick you up home,” Zhong Luoyun quickly expressed the purpose of his visit, then glanced at Queen Elizabeth beside Zhong Luoyue.

His eyes lit up, then he asked doubtfully, “Who is this lady?”

Zhong Luoyue then introduced, “Her name is Queen Elizabeth, a friend I met while studying in Britain. I’m planning to do some business with her, so I brought her along.”

“Queen Elizabeth…” Zhong Luoyun nodded, certain he had never heard of this name.

But this woman who seemed like a young girl, with white hair, stood out conspicuously in the airport arrival hall… Zhong Luoyun suddenly smiled slightly, “Alright, since she’s our little sister’s friend, let her come with us. A guest is welcome, I’ll ask someone to prepare a guest room.”

Speaking, Zhong Luoyun directly walked ahead, leading the way.

At this time, Queen Elizabeth walked side by side with Zhong Luoyue, she quietly said, “Yue, is this your brother?”

Zhong Luoyue replied, “Yes, I have another brother, three years older than me. But he is not in the capital right now… why? Any thoughts on my brother?”

Queen Elizabeth shook her head, “It’s not much, just didn’t like your brother’s gaze.”

Zhong Luoyue frowned, “Queen Elizabeth?”

Queen Elizabeth calmly said, “Aggression.”

Zhong Luoyue was startled, then understood… recalling Zhong Luoyun’s reputation in the social circle, she couldn’t help but frown, “Queen Elizabeth, my brother is naturally proud, but he is not bad at heart. If there’s any offense, please forgive him.”

Queen Elizabeth, however, calmly stated, “In fact, since you were embraced, you no longer have any blood ties with these people… Yue, you’ve detached from their world. If possible, I suggest you handle these matters quickly. Because someday, you might regret staying due to your strength.”

“I understand…” Zhong Luoyue turned her head away.

At this moment, Queen Elizabeth suddenly walked into the restroom nearby, an action that puzzled Zhong Luoyue… it seemed bloodsuckers had no such need.

For example, she hadn’t needed this for several days.

But Queen Elizabeth quickly came out again, with a trace of a smile on her lips, appearing to be in quite a good mood, looking very charming.

“Is there something good?” Zhong Luoyue curiously asked.

Queen Elizabeth cheerfully said, “Yue, you won’t have to worry about food for a long time… The Thirteen Clans sent many pure blood to me, far exceeding what Inspector Ivan promised that day, and it has already been sent to my home in London. Give me an address here later, I’ll have the servant girl bring it to me.”

More than what that arrogant inspector promised… is it because of Luo Qiu?

No, it must have something to do with the person of the name Luo Qiu impersonated that day.

Arex… what kind of deity is he, to make the Thirteen Clans behave almost in a flattering manner?

And Luo Qiu, casually taking someone else’s name, and not caring at all… is it because he has some backing and isn’t afraid?

Zhong Luoyue suddenly felt a headache. Her understanding of the Transcendent world was just a drop in the ocean, truly powerless…

Suddenly, Queen Elizabeth stopped, her gaze fixed on the distance, looking somewhat solemn.

“Is there something wrong again?” Zhong Luoyue asked in surprise.

Queen Elizabeth asked, “What’s over that way?”

“In that direction…” Zhong Luoyue thought for a moment, subconsciously said, “Up ahead is the Imperial Palace, but you’re pointing to the west… well, that’s where our country’s leaders work. Is there an issue?”

Queen Elizabeth said seriously, “There’s a very terrifying aura there, at least ten times scarier than Viscount Fernandis we encountered at the ancient castle that day…”

“Compared to Luo Qiu?” Zhong Luoyue asked subconsciously.

She really didn’t understand much about the Transcendent world. No matter how Queen Elizabeth described it, she actually didn’t know how terrifying Fernandis was.

She could only use Luo Qiu as a benchmark—after all, that day in the Dungeon Maze, she saw firsthand how this mysterious young man easily eliminated Viscount Fernandis, and the monster that Jin Wucheng had become in the lab.

“Compared to Brother Luo Qiu?” Queen Elizabeth suddenly laughed, “No need to compare, of course, Brother Luo Qiu is the most formidable!”

Looking at the woman’s shy demeanor, Zhong Luoyue couldn’t help but sigh… this person seemed to have undergone some changes after breaking the abstention and sucking human blood for the first time.

Zhong Luoyue shook her head, at that moment, under the urging of Zhong Luoyun, she got into the car prepared by the Zhong Family.

“Take a detour, I’ll introduce some of the capital’s environment to my friend on the way.” Zhong Luoyue suddenly instructed the driver.

This detour was, in fact, trying to stay away from that place west of the Imperial Palace.

…

The Zhong Family has an estate in Xiangshan of the capital city, the main base of the Zhong Family.

After arranging a room for Queen Elizabeth to rest, Zhong Luoyue followed her eldest brother Zhong Luoyun to pay respect to the grandfather, while also asking Zhong Luoyun about the recent events in the family.

“When did this happen?” Zhong Luoyue instantly frowned, even stopping her steps.

Because, on the way to meet the grandfather, Zhong Luoyun told Zhong Luoyue about this—grandfather privately transferred half of the shares of the entire Zhong Family group he held to the second young master Zhong Luochen!

Actually, each of the three siblings of the Zhong Family holds some shares of the entire group, but most of the shares were still held tightly by the grandfather!

But now, grandfather suddenly transferred half of the shares to Zhong Luochen, instantly making Zhong Luochen the individual with the most shares in the entire group.

Zhong Luoyun’s expression was somewhat gloomy, “Now the shares in the second brother’s hands outnumber the combined shares of me, you, father and mother… even if father is not involved due to health reasons, he only holds shares. And according to father’s personality, he won’t participate in any affairs. Now, with the second brother’s situation, do you know what this means, little sister?”

Zhong Luoyue remained silent.

For some reason, upon hearing the news, though she was surprised, it wasn’t as unpleasant as imagined. At this moment, she even felt the power struggle in this noble family somewhat ridiculous.

Glancing at her elder brother Zhong Luoyun who seemed eager to form alliances, Zhong Luoyue suddenly felt that the grandfather’s decision to transfer shares to the second brother Zhong Luochen might be a good thing.

She knew that Zhong Luoyun had an ambition for grandeur… If letting the eldest brother lead the whole group, it may not necessarily be beneficial.

“Grandfather should have his considerations.” Zhong Luoyue did not show the enthusiasm Zhong Luoyun imagined, but rather said indifferently, “Shouldn’t we, as grandchildren, be obeying? Or, is elder brother really dissatisfied with grandfather’s decision?”

“Hahaha!” Zhong Luoyun laughed heartily, “How could I be dissatisfied with grandfather’s decision? I was just worried you might be upset. But now it’s good—you seem to support this decision, so I’m relieved. We three are siblings, all one unit, no matter who grandfather gives the shares to, it’s the same! It’s all for the group.”

“That’s the best.” Zhong Luoyue smiled slightly, “Come on, grandfather must have waited long.”

“You go ahead, I still have something, I’ll come later.” Zhong Luoyun shook his head at this time and then walked away directly.

Only after Zhong Luoyun’s figure disappeared did Zhong Luoyue walk directly into a room in the corridor, using a phone to make a call.

The person answering the call had long been arranged to be beside Zhong Luochen… a very ambitious man.

Cheng Yun.

“Third Miss, I knew you would find me at this time.”

Cheng Yun, far away in several provinces, spoke with great confidence… Zhong Luoyue thought, this guy probably already knew about the shares.

Now the second brother can be said to be the Zhong Family Group’s voice, this guy might not continue selling information to her.

Zhong Luoyue directly said, “Let’s not talk about what’s known, just as before, what’s new with my second brother recently?”

“There truly is something.” Cheng Yun quickly replied, “The second young master doesn’t know what he’s doing, investing a large sum of money. I inadvertently saw a check from the second young master, and the amount per transaction reached up to five billion…”

Zhong Luoyue frowned, “The three of us have an annual spending cap of ten billion… where did the second brother get so much money?”

“It probably comes from group funds.” Cheng Yun suddenly said, “It seems the second young master made a call to the grandfather overnight, and only after the shares were transferred… but I do not know what the second young master said to grandfather.”

“I see.” Zhong Luoyue nodded, then said, “Has the second brother done anything else recently?”

“Nothing much.” Cheng Yun thought for a moment, “Just hiding at home every day, but he often chats with a singer nurtured by his entertainment company… oh, the person is called Cheng Yiran. He also often participates in forums related to Buddhism, Taoism, seemingly suddenly becoming keen on researching these things. Oh, and the second young master recently bought a website, I’ll send you the address, Third Miss.”

After listening for a while, Zhong Luoyue hung up the call, then scrolled to the website address sent by Cheng Yun.

The website’s homepage immediately showed a huge icon.

Black background, gold insignia, upon seeing this logo, Zhong Luoyue’s brows furrowed instantly—because the website’s logo was exactly the same as the black card she had secretly swapped…
