Chapter 914: Chapter 158: Supreme Noble

It’s pouring rain at night.

Mr. Ofi held a black umbrella, glanced at the lights in front of the courtyard entrance, and then walked inside silently—this was a secret office under Mr. Ofi’s department.

From the outside, it looked like a relatively upscale apartment building, but it held hidden truths inside.

The hallway lights appeared dim due to a long time without replacement. Water droplets dripped from the umbrella tip, forming a broken line of beads.

And wet footprints.

He opened a door and walked in, then unlocked a wall cabinet, entered the hidden elevator, and finally arrived at the office located underground of the apartment building.

The bright light instantly lifted Mr. Ofi’s oppressive mood a bit, and the environment of busy security personnel also invigorated the spirit.

“Chief!” The secretary was already waiting at the entrance.

Mr. Ofi nodded at this moment, took off his trench coat, and walked into his office—Mr. Ofi had to work overtime tonight, so after a press conference, he hurried home for dinner, spent some time with his son, and then rushed here.

A rush document lay on his desk—Mr. Ofi actually knew roughly the contents of this document on his way here, but he still carefully read it again from the beginning.

Afterwards, Mr. Ofi frowned deeply, and the secretary had to wait quietly. At this moment, Mr. Ofi clasped his hands together, leaning back on the chair, looking at the light above.

The document was sent by the president due to a neighboring country’s government issuing a query to this side—this was a diplomatic conflict.

‘Zombie Bath Salts’, a new type of drug originated from Mr. Ofi’s country. This substance caused a huge uproar in the neighboring country several days ago.

A significant number of people in hospitals were found having consumed this substance… resulting in severe casualties and immense social harm.

“To eliminate this sin, they hope we can cooperate in striking the source of ‘Zombie Bath Salts’… shifting the responsibility onto us.” Mr. Ofi exhaled slowly, “Are the people behind this country all pig-headed? Can Fang Miu’s theory even be proposed?”

“Chief, they’ve already stirred up public opinion domestically.” The secretary said helplessly at this moment: “Their motive is actually simple, if they don’t shirk responsibility, it greatly affects the local government’s credibility. Besides… this substance did indeed first appear on our side.”

Mr. Ofi suddenly sneered: “They themselves are a major drug-producing country, yet they dare to speak… What did our intelligence agents say?”

The secretary said: “They investigated that hospital, but it had already been sealed off by local government and military personnel, entry and exit is very strict. Therefore, our personnel haven’t found anything special for the time being… However, we found that indeed on that day, a lot of corpses were transported out from the hospital. Also… it seems a large tree suddenly appeared.”

“A large tree?”

“It vanished later.” The secretary shrugged: “I feel this incident isn’t simply drug-induced, there must be hidden truths.”

Mr. Ofi rubbed his shoulder and said: “Urgently shifting responsibility naturally indicates something. Just seeing this presidential command already gives me a headache.”

“What’s the president’s intention?”

Mr. Ofi sighed: “The election is coming up…”

The secretary seemed to understand something, with a heavy expression, “Then… what do we need to do?”

Mr. Ofi thought for a while and said: “Give the drug investigation department some information, follow the president’s instructions first… Since he made this decision, it must have been discussed with certain people.”

The secretary nodded: “According to intelligence, this ‘Zombie Bath Salts’ was leaked from a woman’s hand, but we still aren’t clear whose hands the source ultimately lies in. And this woman responsible for supplying goods to sellers has a very mysterious identity.”

“Provide as much information about this woman as we have,” Mr. Ofi waved his hand.

“Understood.” The secretary immediately agreed.

“Is there anything else?” Mr. Ofi raised his head, “I want to make a few phone calls.”

The secretary said: “There is indeed one matter. Recently a new religious sect suddenly emerged, worshiping Baqi God… and surprisingly many people have joined, most of them wealthy. The chief, I fear this group might cause serious problems if it continues long-term.”

Mr. Ofi, expressionless, said indifferently: “Understood, concerning this new religious gang’s situation, it’s not the first time such a group has emerged. These guys can’t stir any major trouble. Set this matter aside; our priority now is dealing with the president’s document.”

The secretary nodded, agreeing, then directly exited Mr. Ofi’s office.

Mr. Ofi rubbed his brow, his expression becoming somewhat gloomy, “Baqi God? Didn’t they say not to be so ostentatious? If this continues, even I…”

But thinking of Dr. Ferenc’s survival issue made Mr. Ofi have another headache.

Mr. Ofi shook his head vigorously and began to concentrate on work.

He suddenly remembered the revival ability of the Divine Envoy of Baqi God, the ability to bestow blessings, inevitably stirred something in his heart. “The suddenly appearing bizarre tree, then vanishing. The creatures attacking people like zombies in movies… are there really zombies?”

It seems necessary to personally meet this Divine Envoy, Mr. Ofi reluctantly decided.

…

Just when Mr. Ofi was troubled, the Divine Envoy, whom he called a bothersome guy, was playing a happy game in a villa.

Four seductive women only wearing underwear were frolicking in the room, while the Divine Envoy master was blindfolded, starting a game of tag, with the punishment naturally being a shot—recently, this Divine Envoy felt his energy was truly boundless.

In the beauty of heaven, the envoy… Baqi thought this way.

Suddenly, Baqi lunged forward and indeed landed on a woman, the two instantly fell onto the bed, Baqi gleefully got handsy… but very quickly sensed something was amiss.

The reason was that the woman he landed on did not react like he remembered, instead remaining motionless. Baqi felt like he touched merely a shell.

Baqi paused, hurriedly removed his blindfold—the blindfold was on his mask.

Later, from that black black black black maid he bought a mask that wouldn’t easily fall off, convenient for daily disguise. For this, he painfully paid many units of faith.

“Oh… it’s the beautiful and noble Ms. You Ye!”

Baqi saw the situation in the room clearly, the four women’s bodies had become completely rigid, as if their time was taken away, entirely paused, while in the room, the maid in a black dress flashed a smile.

Baqi promptly climbed down from the bed.

On the floor covered with soft white carpet, Baqi raised his head, quickly crawled to You Ye’s front, eyes filled with infinite greed.

His greed wasn’t staring at You Ye’s absolutely beautiful figure, but at the thing he held in You Ye’s hand—a tray.

The tray was covered, but Baqi could already smell within it the aroma of something that couldn’t ignite his enthusiasm with any number of women.

Meat.

Baqi didn’t consider himself a glutton, he thought playing with women was the most enjoyable thing—but now, compared to playing with women, a deadly preference seemed to have transcended.

That was eating meat.

Eat meat, eat meat, eat meat, eat meat, eat meat, eat the meat You Ye cooked… after eating it can make him feel extraordinarily comfortable, his whole body filled with power meat!

“Want to eat?” Ms. Maid smiled slightly.

Crawling on the ground like a canine, Bucky supported his body with his hands while looking up, licking his lips and nodding continuously.

“Fifty units,” Ms. Maid said softly.

Bucky agreed immediately without a second thought. With the increase of his followers, his daily income of faith units kept rising. Paying fifty units, or even five hundred units, was within his capability.

“Deal,” Ms. Maid smiled slightly.

Under You Ye’s smile, Bucky appeared like a lost soul in the desert who found a source of water.

He stared unblinking at Ms. Maid as she slowly uncovered the lid of the silver platter — inside was a kind of brown muscle tissue, seeping with dark green blood.

This piece of meat is raw, completely untreated!

You Ye casually flipped her palm, pouring the meat from the plate, and Bucky hurriedly reached out to catch it, pushing it directly into his mouth, devouring ravenously.

But blood still dripped through his fingers, yet Bucky did not let it go, bowing his head to lick these ‘escapees’.

Watching the unsightly state of Bucky, You Ye chuckled softly, “Truly a greedy little boy.”

“Delicious! Delicious! More, I need more!”

“Then please earn more faith,” Ms. Maid’s voice was filled with supreme temptation.

“I’ll earn, I’ll earn… delicious! Delicious! I’ll earn…” Bucky had already fallen into a kind of frenzy, like those followers who would sacrifice anything to receive his blessing.

“What an obedient child,” Ms. Maid nodded in satisfaction.

At this moment, behind Bucky, a vague shadow was slowly becoming clear.

“No wonder Lucifer gave you the highest-level contract… Mammon, the legendary demon of greed.”

At an unknown time, Ms. Maid left, taking with her the fifty units of faith earned this time.

In the room, four girls had yet to recover, only Bucky was still crazily chewing on the meat thrown on the ground.

After leaving the villa, You Ye glanced at the rainy night and murmured, “Wonder if the master has had a night snack… so boring.”

This feeling of boredom, when did it first arise?

…

…

…

…

Bang—!

The door suddenly opened, and as it did, in the Han Residence hall, servants stood in two rows, speaking in unison, “Welcome home, Miss Ying, welcome home, Young Master Qiu!”

Song Ying was in a good mood, immediately announcing everyone would get a red envelope, becoming the dispersing wealth maiden.

It had been six days since that incident, after various checks, and with the Song family working behind the scenes, Luo Qiu and his people were allowed to leave the hospital.

“You’re back,” Song Tianyou walked out with a cane, a bright smile on his face.

Old Master Song dismissed the welcoming servants and continued, “I had the kitchen prepare some nourishing food, it should be ready to eat soon.”

“I’ll go take a shower, Grandpa. Let’s meet in the dining hall later!” Song Ying waved her hand and headed towards her room.

Old Master Song watched lovingly, then said to Luo Qiu, “Child, didn’t expect you to face such things upon returning to the Song family, were you frightened?”

“Consider it an unforgettable experience,” Luo Qiu smiled.

“You seem truly fine, very good,” Old Master Song nodded, then added, “Come, before dinner, follow me to the spirit hall, offer incense to the ancestors to let them know you’ve returned safely.”

He didn’t call Song Ying… Although Song Tianyou liked Song Ying, his granddaughter, his preference for boys over girls was more pronounced.

The spirit hall was traditionally a place seldom stepped into by women, primarily belonging to males.

Luo Qiu saw no issue and didn’t decline, following Old Master Song’s footsteps to the spirit hall of Han Residence for the second time.

Unexpectedly, inside the spirit hall, Luo Qiu saw someone who was not a male member of the Song family.

Mr. Blind.

Seeing Mr. Blind turn around, Luo Qiu mused aloud, “Old Master Song, seems it’s not just about offering incense.”

Song Tianyou, accustomed to Luo Qiu’s outsider way of addressing, hesitated momentarily but didn’t mind much, responding slowly, “Indeed, correct. Besides offering incense to the ancestors this time, there’s another matter. That is, Mr. Blind wanted to meet you.”

Pausing briefly, Song Tianyou continued, “Originally, your meeting should have been arranged earlier, but first, being in the hospital was inconvenient, and second, Mr. Blind has had other matters lately, so it was postponed until today.”

What Mr. Blind went to do, naturally involved exploring the castle’s cellar.

Luo Qiu nodded, also nodding toward Mr. Blind, not caring whether he could ‘see’ him, as long as courtesy was shown.

He walked past Mr. Blind and arrived before the spirit position plate table, where Uncle Wu handed over prepared sandalwood incense, and Luo Qiu bowed thrice sincerely before inserting it into the incense burner.

Suddenly, Mr. Blind spoke, “Young Master Luo Qiu, are you aware that each time you bow, Song family’s luck increases crazily?”

Luo Qiu slowly turned around.

Facing Luo Qiu directly, Mr. Blind said seriously, “Young Master Luo Qiu just bowed three times to the ancestors, with each bow, Song family’s luck thickens by a fraction, after bowing thrice, this luck is over double that of yesterday.”

“Luck, what is that?” Luo Qiu blinked, curiously asked, “Is it a feng shui thing?”

Suddenly opening the eyes he had kept shut, Mr. Blind’s cloudy eyeballs were revealed briefly before closing again, causing him to step back slightly.

He took a deep breath, cupped his fists and said, “Behind you seems like the force of Heaven and Earth… Qingxia Zi has offended the supreme noble, please forgive.”

Old Master Song, startled by Mr. Blind’s attitude, stood speechless with shock…
