Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 284 Second Generation Strategic Nuclear Submarine: Where are my ballistic missiles?Chapter 284 Second Generation Strategic Nuclear Submarine: Where are my ballistic missiles?

With the continuous increase in Yan State’s military expenditure, it means that there is no need to “get something for free” as in the past!
At this time, Zhang Lao looked at Lin Chenran with a serious expression and said, ”Lin boy, this new type of water-pressurized reactor is closely related to our new type of strategic nuclear submarine. Its importance is self-evident. I hope you can pay more attention to this matter and take it seriously!”

After saying this, Mr. Zhang’s tone changed slightly, and his words revealed a sincere request.

He knew very well that Lin Chenran possessed extraordinary abilities and talents.

Hearing what Mr. Zhang said, Lin Chenran nodded without hesitation and said, ”No problem, Mr. Zhang, please rest assured. I will do my best to do this well!”

Then, he added confidently: ”Don’t worry, our 077 Machinery Military Factory is at the world’s leading level in the field of special composite materials. I believe we can find the special composite materials suitable for hydraulic reactors!”

Lin Chenran is still very confident in his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

Seeing Lin Chenran so determined and confident, all the senior leaders of the Yan State Navy present nodded.

The achievements of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal in special composite materials are obvious to all. Its technological level is far ahead of other countries and is at the world’s top level.

Afterwards, Mr. Zhang narrowed his eyes slightly, blinked quickly a few times at Mr. Huang, and nodded slightly, indicating that the latter should continue to explain the design and development plan of the second-generation strategic nuclear submarine.

After receiving instructions from Mr. Zhang, Mr. Huang first picked up the teacup on the table, took a sip of tea to moisten his throat, then cleared his throat and continued to explain the design and development plan of his own second-generation strategic nuclear submarine.

The second-generation strategic nuclear submarines are armed to the teeth and equipped with a wide variety of advanced weapons and equipment.

The most central and eye-catching of them are the six 6mm caliber torpedo tubes.

These sturdy launch tubes are like sharp fangs in the mouth of a steel behemoth, quietly lurking on the body of the submarine, ready to deal a fatal blow to the enemy at any time.

They are capable of launching Yu-3 high-performance torpedoes.

This torpedo is fast, powerful and highly accurate. Once it locks on to the target, it will rush away like an arrow, making it difficult for the enemy to escape.

Compared with the previous 091 strategic nuclear submarine, the second-generation strategic nuclear submarine has achieved a major breakthrough in internal space.

Due to the adoption of more advanced cabin layout and structural design, the available space inside the submarine has been greatly increased.

The number of torpedoes it is equipped with has been significantly increased, and it can easily carry up to 14 Yu-3 heavy torpedoes.

In addition to its powerful torpedo strike capability, the second-generation strategic nuclear submarine also has another impressive killer weapon - 12 sets of ballistic missile launchers.

Each such launch device is like a small mobile rocket base, standing firmly inside the submarine.

Each launch vehicle is specially equipped with a Julang ballistic missile that is powerful enough to shake the world.

This missile has the characteristics of ultra-long range, high precision and huge destructive power, and can be called a national weapon.

And the Julang ballistic missile can be used in conjunction with nuclear missiles.

Just when Mr. Huang was speaking enthusiastically, Mr. Zhang, who had been listening attentively, suddenly raised his right hand gently.

Seeing this action, Mr. Huang immediately understood and stopped his ongoing explanation.

The entire conference room fell silent in an instant, and everyone’s eyes were focused on Mr. Zhang.

”Engineer Huang, I’d like to ask, what is the current progress of the development of our own Julang ballistic missile?”

Mr. Zhang’s voice was not loud, but it was full of concern.

He is very concerned about the research and development progress of this important weapon that is related to national defense security.

”Forehead?”

”This...” Mr. Huang hesitated for a moment, but finally couldn’t help but shook his head, his face full of helplessness and embarrassment.

The second-generation strategic nuclear submarines are highly anticipated by the senior leaders of the Yan State Navy.

However, the development progress of the corresponding Julang ballistic missile is very slow.

According to the current situation, even if the second-generation strategic nuclear submarines can be successfully built, there is no sign of a mature version of the Julang ballistic missile, not to mention the two being able to work together and coordinate operations.

At this time, the senior leaders of the Yan State Navy present also noticed the change in Mr. Huang’s expression. They all turned their eyes to Mr. Huang. When they figured out the reason for the incident, everyone’s faces instantly turned ugly.

In fact, as early as 1985, Yan State had conducted a test of the Julang ballistic missile.

However, the result of that test was extremely disappointing - the J-19 ballistic missile, which was highly anticipated, lost control the moment it emerged from the water. Immediately afterwards, there was a loud bang, and the entire missile turned into a fireball in the air and then exploded.

……

The Yan State Navy has provided all-round support for the research and development of the Julang ballistic missile.

We provide people when they are needed, things when they are needed, and even as much money as we can.

But the development of the JL ballistic missile was bumpy.

Very difficult!

The final result presented to everyone is still not satisfactory.

……

Old Zhang turned around and glanced at Lin Chenran beside him, and seemed to have some ideas in his mind.

Suddenly, Lin Chenran on the side felt as if he was being stared at by a ”top hunter”.

I started to tremble unconsciously.

Then, he saw Mr. Zhang staring at him intentionally or unintentionally.

”Forehead?”

Lin Chenran thought to himself: ”No wonder I was shaking unconsciously. It turns out that I was being ’targeted’ by Mr. Zhang. This...”

Lin Chenran sighed deeply: ”Mr. Zhang, you wouldn’t...”

Mr. Zhang smiled meaningfully and said, ”That’s right. I want to merge the Julang ballistic missile design and development team into your 077 Mechanical Arsenal.”

”We also asked the Tianzhu automatic tracking rocket launcher’s R&D team to help them improve the Julang ballistic missile, so that it can be quickly formed and used in conjunction with the second-generation strategic nuclear submarines.”

Lin Chenran had an incredible look on his face.

”This...Mr. Zhang, are you serious?”

”Let the design team of the Julang ballistic missile be incorporated into our 077 Mechanical Arsenal?”

And Mr. Zhang nodded seriously.

Upon hearing this, other senior leaders of the Yan State Navy all felt that Mr. Zhang’s idea was very feasible.

The 077 Mechanical Arsenal’s research on ballistic missiles is at the world’s top level.

In particular, the Tianzhu automatic tracking rocket launcher equipped on the Aegis missile destroyer is ”can’t let go” of the Yan State Navy.

Lin Chenran smiled bitterly when he heard this. He was not averse to his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory taking over the Julang ballistic missile design team.

This can greatly enhance the foundation of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

but……

Seeing Lin Chenran with a tangled face, Zhang Lao said directly: ”The research and development funds for the Julang ballistic missile will be provided by our navy!!!”

Lin Chenran seemed to hear the sound of nature.
